    Bourbon & Bonfires is Landon and Addison's story. We met Addison (who is Taylor's sister) in Champagne & Forever.

    Landon finds himself alone after his friends have found love and he is tired of being the lone man out. Enter Addison and her teenage son Mason. Addison is such a great character because she is real. She is older, has been through a divorce and a son that is acting out. Addison deals with REAL LIFE kind of drama that readers deal with and she does it the best way she knows how. She is messy at times, kick ass at times, and she does the best she can with what life has given her. The reader will find some part of Addison that connects and resonates with them and that connection is endearing. Landon is a good ole' boy, hard worker who loves his family and has been raised to respect women and people in general. He wants love but just hasn't meet the right woman.

    Landon wears his heart on his sleeve and falls hard & fast. Addison has walls up (rightfully so) and wants to protect Mason because he has been let down so much by his father so she is very hesitant to introduce another man into his life. She is a momma bear and I love it.

    This book is the perfect culmination of Landon & Addison. I read it slowly because I wanted to savor their story. It was a bit of a slow burn. Bourbon & Bonfires really showcases Andrea Johnston's writing skills and how she so perfectly wraps the reader into the Country Road life. As a reader, I become invested in the lives of these characters and I constantly root for them (well, not Felicity but everyone else!). That is a true testament to Andrea's skill set and her ability to weave a story that the reader becomes emotionally invested in. I cannot wait to read more about the characters of the Country Road and see where their lives take them.

    Addison Sinclair is at her wits end with her teenage son and good-for-nothing ex-husband. A fortuitous phone call to her brother lands her in Lexington and working in the local general practitioner's office. She finds herself drawn to the handsome, younger man she met at her brother's friends' wedding last summer.

    Landon Montgomery realizes the single life is no longer for him after all of his buddies have settled down. The choices for rectifying it, however, are fewer and far between. His mother with her good intentions, doesn't seem to be helping much in that department and now that his dad has semi-retired, he's a lot busier with their family HVAC business.

    I have enjoyed getting to know all of the couples in this series. The book is well-written and very captivating.

    I feel like these characters fit very well from the beginning. I loved Addy's determination to make sure her son was taken care of while trying to figure out her new life. I loved Landon's ability to make her feel cherished and how he managed to relate to her teenage son. Their interactions while new, seemed to be easy and not forced.

    I'm excited for the next book and loved them all. I would definitely recommend them to a friend.

    Andrea Johnston’s Country Road series is one that I haven’t been able to get enough of. I fall in love with each new couple that Andrea creates and with each new release I fall in love with the town of Lexington and the Country Road bar just a little bit more. Bourbon & Bonfires is one of my favorites, if not my favorite, from the Country Road Series and Landon & Addison are definitely now my favorite couple of the group.

    I love that Addison is such a real character. She is just a mom who wants to do the best thing possible for her son. She is so relatable and down to earth. As a single mom as well (who later found an amazing man to join our family) I completely felt everything that Addison was going through, as if I was going through it myself. Landon’s personality compliments hers perfectly and it seemed as if he was exactly what she needed.

    All of Andrea’s books contain the sweetest of love stories and her writing only gets better which each novel/novella she releases. She has quickly become an author that I “one-click” or preorder from the second I know a new book is releasing.

    Once again I have a first for the month of March! Andrea Johnson is another first for me! I really enjoyed the synopsis when I read it and then I knew that I had to read it!

    If you don't know I am a VERY moody reader. The book really has to fit my mood or I have to be in the mood for the type of book otherwise I'm not going to enjoy it near as much.

    Unfortunately I was not in the mood to read this particular one. That has absolutely nothing to do with the book by any means. It has everything to do with me! I have been on a Thriller/True Crime kick and I needed to get it out of my system before I could honestly give this book that kind of review that it deserves.

    Needless to say it isn't out of my system by any means. But what I read of the book I was really enjoying. The circumstances surround our main characters is something that happens to many people and it is relatable which is huge in a book for me. Because I honestly don't care for the most outlandish circumstances because it isn't attainable and can be a bit far fetched in romance.

    I think that once I am able to get out of my True Crime binge I can give this book another go and finish it with much better review.

    I've read The Break Series by Andrea and absolutely loved them, no surprise that I would love this one. It's a story about a true love, a love that most people have on a everyday basis with their s/o, it's a story about everyday life.
    Mason, oh boy does she ever do him justice, After getting in trouble again his mother Addison and him move to be closer to his Uncle Taylor, hoping Taylor would be a better role model to Mason compare to his not their father.
    Addy then starts to get to know Landon (the last of the country boys to finally settle down),she's hesitate at the start to let him in and get to know him she's looking out for Mason who has been hurt before and she doesn't want that to happen again, but once the walls start coming down and these two bond Landon is more than ready to have his happily ever after with Addy. Will a few obstacles thrown their way change the outcome? Will they have their happily ever after, I guess you're going to have to read it to find out.
    It's not a book that you will won't to miss, and it's easy a book that your not going to want to put down either so prepare for an all-nighter, and love the story about Addison and Landon

    Landon and Addison meet one night where sparks fly and dreams may just come true if you can open your heart to it all.(don’t want to give anything away)

    This book is part of a series but you could read as a stand-alone just as easy it is very fun and light to read but in some parts the heat sizzles off the page and you can feel everything that is written....love that.
    So this series and novel comes highly recommended from me.
