The creations of verse in this collection of poetry were written while navigating the often intense emotional experience of living with OCD, PTSD, and schizophrenia.

This lived experience of suffering compelled a chemistry of words that touches on the divine to the hopeless and demonic.
With an eye on the miraculous and inspiring, these are compositions that turn to Biblical examinations, such as “Pharaoh in the Red Sea” or “Lily’s Truth,” and a variety of senses of wonder in creation, such as “The Alpha” and “An ocean list of qualifications.”
Others, like “Anger” or “Pneuma,” are thoughts that exercise the reconciliation between the struggles of mental health in the wake of harm from psychosis, with the wrestling of spiritual truth and spiritual warfare that ensue.
Other poems are examples of gaining strength by faith, such as “Soaring,” alongside the incompatible domination of worldly influence and trauma found in other verses like “Incinerator” or “Choral Firecrackers.”

There is an expression of unconditional love for family and the yearning and need for forgiveness from loved ones, God, and the self.

The collection concludes with an honorary poem for the deep fantasy works of J.R.R. Tolkien, namely, his “First Children,” the Elves of Beleriand.

I was born in a cold dusty town hated by many of it's own people(bearing fond memories nonetheless)called Prince George, BC, Canada.

Grew up as a teenager in Michigan, and now dwell in Vancouver. Used to want to see tornadoes up close.

My roots go back to video games as well as reading, beginning in early years with Brian Jacques' Redwall series. Two pads and a NES, that's my true roots

I enjoy writing poetry since being emotionally awakened to master-level poetry in a British anthology called "Ode to Flowers" in 2017.

Interestingly, the word "anthology" actually means "a collection of flowers." As one poet declared: "flowers are peculiarly the poetry of Christ."

I am also working on my first novel.
