Broken Knight Audible Audiobook – Unabridged

4.6 out of 5 stars 18,658 ratings

Not all love stories are written the same way. Ours had torn chapters, missing paragraphs, and a bittersweet ending.

Luna Rexroth is everyone’s favorite wallflower.

Sweet.

Caring.

Charitable.

Quiet.

Fake.

Underneath the meek, tomboy exterior everyone loves (yet pities) is a girl who knows exactly what, and who, she wants - namely, the boy from the tree house who taught her how to curse in sign language.

Who taught her how to laugh.

To live.

To love.

Knight Cole is everyone’s favorite football hero.

Gorgeous.

Athletic.

Rugged.

Popular.

Liar.

This daredevil hell-raiser could knock you up with his gaze alone, but he only has eyes for the girl across the street: Luna.

But Luna is not who she used to be. She doesn’t need his protection anymore.

When life throws a curveball at All Saints’ golden boy, he’s forced to realize not all knights are heroes.

Sometimes, the greatest love stories flourish in tragedy.

I'm In Love... With This Series!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️➕️ It's not often I fall in love with a series. Oh, how I fell into this one! It's like a chaotic storm. Unexpected. Unpredictable. Electrifying. Tumultuous. It varies in intensity with the calm cascading into a beautiful frenzy. I've experienced a wide range of emotions throughout this series. Having started out the series not quite sure if I even wanted to keep going with it to almost having completed it, knowing I will need to take this journey all over again. Like I said, "tumultuous." I'm confounded by how this series slowly, but most assuredly crept into my reader's soul. It's about as close to the top as it can get for me, running nearly neck to neck with Ashely Jade's Royal Hearts Academy. That has long been my favorite series due to the emotional attachment I developed with the characters. Now, I'm wondering if the Sinners of Saint and All Saints series have edged it out? Have these snuck in and stolen the spotlight? Knight & Luna... Too say I was engaged in their story from beginning to end would be an understatement. I was enraptured. To have to set their romance aside, however briefly, in order to attend to real life was torture. Every moment away from it was a prickly thorn in my side. Typically, an author will lose me as a reader when they start to deleve into unrealistic territory brought on by the extravagance of wealth and the excessive behaviors of the wealthy. Not in this case, though. Something about it just worked for me, and even when I found it bordering on intolerable with the ostentatious exploits, I remained grounded, wrapped up in the emotions it was provoking. I wanted to stay cocooned in the bubble of pure bliss the characters had we wrapped up in. My only advice for beginning this adventure is to start from the top. I initially made the mistake of starting with Pretty Reckless only to end up dnf'ing. I didn't have the background of the Sinners of Saint to build off of. Obviously, that changed when I decided to give Vicious a chance, and look at me now, lol. I'm a complete gonner for every page, every word, every story.

Oh my marx..This book BROKE me. I finished this book at 1 in the morning, and I haven't even attempted to move on from there characters. I'm not even exaggerating when I say this is the best book of 2019.
Knight and Luna.. Even when I wanted to shake them, I loved them. There were so many miscommunications, assumptions, and angst between the two of them, but they are so young. Of course there will be mistakes made, of course there will be pain and tragedy, but the most beautiful things rise in the ashes of such tragedy, and the back and forth, not really friends anymore but always soulmates, was really spectacular to witness.
What I loved the most about these two is that I totally understood both sides of their pain, their resentment, and their love. How was Luna supposed to know that Vaughn was waiting for her when he always threw girls in her face? How was Vaughn to know that his actions would lead to the disintegration of their friendship? But another thing I really loved? Even in their most painful times, if they needed the other one, they were always there for each other.
I also loved how similar to Dean Knight was. How he used alcohol/drugs to drown his feelings when he was avoiding the reality of Rosie's health, the pain of having Luna the way he always wanted for a short time, only to lose her again, and finding out why exactly his birth mother gave him up.. The overlap between father and son was amazing.
Seeing Luna literally find her voice was more than I could put into words. She always viewed herself as someone who needed saving, especially when Knight was doing the rescuing, but by finding herself she was able to realize that she's more than capable of standing on her own to feet, and standing up for herself. She never let Knight treat her like crap, no matter how much she loved him. (Which is something we rarely see in romance novels.) Having Luna actually talk to Trent made me cry as well. That was just a beautiful and heartbreaking scene.

***major Spoilers ahead so stop reading if you haven't read this book yet!***

Something else that I absolutely adored about this book? It was also a love letter to Dean and Rosie. They are one of my favorite couples in the Hot Hole series, and even though I knew it was coming, Rosie's death destroyed me. When Knight overheard Dean begging Rosie not to leave him, to at least give him five more years so they could watch their sons grow and love, I had to stop reading. I wanted a happy Hallmark ending where Rosie would suddenly get new lungs and kick Cystic Fibrosis ass, but rationally I knew that wasn't going to happen. In the beginning of Ruckus, Rosie herself states that her story doesn't have a happy ending, and even though I tried to prepare myself, losing her was like losing a loved one in my real life. Once I was able to start reading again, I immediately started crying when Dean brought Rosie home so she could die peacefully and with the ones she loves. The little snippets of Rosie's last conversations with everyone, and her telling Knight that he was always her favorite, made me cry even harder. I always loved the relationship Knight had with Rosie, and seeing them together for the last time was so bittersweet. But that was nothing compares to her last moments with Dean. I loved how even in death, Rosie wanted to make sure that her husband wouldn't die right along with her. No matter how impossible it seemed, she wanted him to be able to love again, because she knows how much love Dean still has to give. Then when she died in his arms,.. I'm reading up now even thinking about it. Rosie was such a beautiful character, and I loved how everything seems to be coming full circle.

After learning about Dixie's past, the respect i had for her giving up her son so he could be loved like he deserved, is more than I can say. Whether or not Dixie has a platonic relationship with Dean, I have a feeling that she's going to help heal them, and that they in turn will heal her. The letter that Rosie sent to Dixie, asking her to stay and to help ease the pain of her dying, all the while having a relationship with their son, was just so perfect. As a reader, I selfishly don't want Dean to move on so soon, but knowing that it's with someone Rosie hand picked.. I think that's so beautiful.

My feelings are so raw, but that's what makes Leigh's writing so amazing. This is easily her best book to date.❤❤

**I loved Daria even more after reading this book. Not gonna lie, I have an insane girl crush on her.
Vaughn and his hilarious self.. I'm so excited to see how he and Lenora will come about. I'm also so curious to see how his relationship will change with his mom, seeing as how she has no family members left.
That proposal? So. Effing. Amazing. It was totally them, and it gave us all a much needed laugh after the pain of losing Rosie, and finding out that they were pregnant, it was like a little piece of Rosie came back to all of us.

Don't just take my word for it, but read this book. It will destroy you, heal you, make you cry harder than ever, all the while thanking the author for this experience because this is what reading is all about. When a book heals us as much as it destroys us, that's how you know it's a story that will defy time.❤❤

This was such a tough read. Don’t get me wrong, it was good. But it’s completely draining emotionally.

I think if you read this as a standalone, it’s not AS heart wrenching. But, if you read the parents series first, specifically Deans, this is just so hard to get through because of Rosie (knights mom). And I honestly think that kind of stole the book from Knight and Luna story and progress. But, overall it was good!

I truly wasn't prepared for this book. I believed I was, I though I was just about to read a book about a romance story between one of my favourite couples offspring and his best friend. Oh boy, I was so so wrong.

This book was so much more than a romance novel, so much more than just characters brought to life to entertain readers.
BK was a new perspective on life and it's meaning! It made me look at it with new eyes, and realize that we should not take anything for granted, not the tiniest bit. This book pulled so many emotions out of me, some I was unsure I had them in me in the first place. I am not one to shed a tear just because, but trust my words, I cried my eyes out with this story and felt the love the characters shared.

What I learned: Life is too short to be wasted. We do not know when, nor how we'll end up and even if we will get a second chance at it. So, do not waste time. If you want it, just go for it. Love it to the most. Consequences be damned, because we only leave once and we have to make the most of it!!

"What if tomorrow never comes?” I whispered. “Then, my darling boy, we’ll make the best of today"

This was so well-written, that it kept me wanting more. I am sure the angst between Knight and Luna would keep you on the edge of your seat' and make you devour the book from the very first page.
