After reading the previous four books, and now this one, I'm in love with the whole group at Fortis Security and how they operate as a team. Ms Wade does a particularly good job with team dynamics and relationships, how they support and strengthen each other. While I enjoy and love the individual heroes and heroines in the stories, it's really the whole team that brings me back to this series again and again. -Deanna's World Blog

Gaining her black belt in karate at just 14 yrs old, she then went on to study Jujitsu. She now watches her twin sons from the sidelines. Her love of books began in high school but she discovered writing when her boys were young.

    The amount of drama and crazy that goes into each story is amazing!!! And that the author is able to continue to pull you into each mew story is another feat in itself. Loved zin and Celeste. Yes there were moments he put his foot in his mouth but usually it was cause he didn’t even get to finish what he was saying. Always someone around to interrupt. Lol. Loved how Celeste grew a backbone after some of the crazy ordeals she survived. Rhea(secret new name you learn) is completely psycho. I hope she had a horrible end real soon. Especially for all she has put everyone through. Particularly Lizzie and smithy. I hope they are ok. Poor roz and I hope kanan can help her cope. Thank god Samson is ok. Too much a fur baby doggie mom for that to go any other way without me being in tears.

    Celeste has always felt out of place, never truly excepted. With her gift she has to keep distance between herself and others or it becomes to much to handle. Somewhere along the way she fell in love with Zin, right at a time she could lose everything. 

    She's been targeted by the Divine Watchers to become a sacrifice in their evil schemes of world dominance. They are threatening people that she cares greatly for, how can she just can't save herself and let them perish. 

    Zin is that good guy who does bad stuff for all the right reasons. He feels that he's tainted and not good enough for Celeste but he's so far gone now and too selfish to let go. He will not lose his Pixie now. 

    Absolutely loved it. From beginning to end the story was so well-written you don't want to put it down. Maddie did a phenomenal job in constructing the story and bringing to life the love between Zin and Celeste. 

    I highly recommend reading the series in order to get the full effect. Happy READING!

    In this book the enemy has now taken advantage of the Fortis teams. Zin and Celeste's story is in this book. When the dust settles the end is not yet there. I enjoyed this book. I find myself reading this series late into the night. Not wanting to leave the book until the end.

    Broken Butterfly is the fifth installment in the Fortis Series and from book one, I've been in love! Maddie Wade has a way of creating real, lovable and realistic characters, and she does it again with Zin and Celeste. I particularly like the path of Zin, Viper, who despite threading darkness for most of his life, had retained a light in him. It was dim, but his honor, the core of his heart and soul remains, and later on finally opens when he acknowledges his feelings for Celeste and comes to terms with who he really is.
    All the members of Fortis are there and it's a pleasure to see the way they interact with each other, and how they evolve in the story. The pace is thrilling and once more, I can't way for the next installment. An amazing romantic suspense with heart that you don't want to miss!!!

    When Zin and Celeste first meet they are bit awkward and standoffish to each other. Zin is brooding alpha male. Celeste is quiet and innocent.

    This story turns up the heat between them. There is a shared kiss between them at a wedding. Celeste is left confused not knowing what it meant. She makes a huge error in judgement, which ends up putting her in harms way with the divine watchers.

    Zin has this tough guy exterior because of everything that has happened in his life. He thinks he does not deserve love but Celeste is making him second guess that. He is confused about how he feels. Celeste is coming out of her shell with the help of those around her. Will they both let down there guard and take a chance at love?

    This story is explosive. The fortis team has there work cut out for them.

    This is my absolute favourite series at the moment and in all honesty each book is a little better than the last!
    As the series progresses Maddie Wade clearly becomes more in tune with each of her characters and they are all evolving beautifully.

    Broken Butterfly is book 5 in the Fortis Security Series and concentrates on Zin and Celeste.
    Zin is a bit of an enigma, he has stuck to the shadows for a long time, working alongside the Fortis team he is secretive, quiet, moody and very Alpha!

    Celeste has a gift that she keeps to herself and is very guarded about, she struggles to trust but is a very endearing and sweet character.

    Zin and Celeste are meant to be together, it’s so obvious, unfortunately Zin will not relent and allow Celeste to break down his barriers. When tragedy strikes and Celeste is taken, used for a diabolical crime in a heinous manner Zin realises that life is too short. He and the team race against time to save the innocents caught up a world effecting crime!

    So much excitement, fast paced, page turning, I could not put it down....all phrases I would use for this book.

    Bring on book 6....another Maddie Wade triumph.
    Book 1 is actually free at the moment and trust me once you’ve read one you’ll just keep going!

    I’ve had to read fast to get this series done. I’ve not really read Special forces books before but this series is different. Firstly set in sleepy Hereford, home to the elite SAS and me, it’s great working out the places Maddie used to set the scenes.
    Secondly the family which are Fortis are fabulously constructed. Each book concentrates on a couple but they weave together and the consistency is brilliant,
    This book is all about Pixie and Zin. A story that’s been brewing since book 2 and finally they get it together.
    I won’t spoil it and tell you story cause that defeated the point of getting this series but I can say Maddie writing is just getting better and better and her confidence shines through this book.
    Really looking forward to book 5.
    If you want a good series I recommend this from a future No 1 writer.

    Broken Butterfly is the fifth book in the Fortis Security Series by Maddie Wade. This can be read as a standalone, but I recommend that you read the other books first for a better appreciation of the story.
    This is a romantic suspense- with drama, action, adventure, danger, thrills, intrigue, mystery, and their very survival at stake. I was hooked right from the beginning- I read it in one sitting.
    Zin Maklovoi (The Viper) is a highly trained, lethal weapon. He had an extremely tough life and his past experiences have shaped him into the man he is today. He is a very endearing bad boy.
    Again, The Divine Watchers come into play in this story. They have a sinister plan, and it involves Zin’s beautiful pixie, Celeste. Will he be able to keep her safe?
    I loved Zin and Celeste, and I was really happy to get to know them better- they are really great characters. They were complex, fully developed and extremely endearing. Their chemistry sizzled off the pages and made for some red-hot reading.
    The author held the tension, suspense and intrigue at an extremely high level throughout the book- as well as keeping me guessing most of the way through- she added twists and surprising development that I didn’t see coming, which ramped the excitement up a few notches.
    I can’t wait to read more from her!
