Buyer's Remorse (Real Estate Relations Book 2) Kindle Edition
LEE
I changed my name, but I can’t change what I did. My brothers died, and I spent three years in witness protection. Returning to Fields, where I once hid out, feels right. Seeing Miguel again feels even better. But when a dead body interrupts my tour of a building for sale, my start isn’t as fresh as I’d like.
MIGUEL
I’ve been trying to curb my habit of leaping into bad relationships, but when Lee comes back to town, he's hard to resist. Kids are dying, and life’s too short to shy away from a good thing. But will Lee’s mysterious past come back to bite me?
Between police questioning and trials of trust, it's far from smooth sailing. If we don’t figure out who’s selling synthetic drugs and convince the police Lee is not their man, we may all have a severe case of buyer’s remorse.
This is a mystery romance of approximately 80,000 words.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 21, 2018Anyone who knows me knows that it is very rare that I give a book a full 5 star rating. Ms Jamison earned every single one of those stars with this book.
Buyer's Remorse is the second book in the Real Estate Relations Series. We met our two main characters, Lee and Miguel in Full Disclosure Book one of this series. Buyer's Remorse picks up three years later... picking up right after the epilogue in book one. While it can be read as a standalone I'd recommend reading Full Disclosure first. Not only because it was also a great book but it enables readers to see for themselves exactly how much Lee has matured in the three years since we originally met him.
This book is about second chances. It shows us how people can make mistakes, sometimes terrible mistakes, but learn from them, own them and go onto to become good, responsible people. It deals with some tough subjects and doesn't just gloss over the hard facts surrounding those subjects. It shows that our pasts, both the good and the bad, help makes us who we are but it's how we choose to move forward that defines our future.
I could go on all day about all of the things that I loved in this book... but I'll just leave you with my recommendation that you read this wonderful book. I also want to say that while I do recommend reading Full Disclosure first, I don't think it's absolutely necessary. Ms Jamison hit the mark on balancing back story for those who didn't read book one while not so much to bore those of us who did.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 13, 2018The action and tension of the first book wasn't as strong in here, but the mystery was enjoyable, even if rather predictable. The character interactions were believeable and the dialog realistic. A pleasant potato chip of a story for a read on a quiet afternoon.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 23, 2018I didn't like Lee much in the first book and I was happy that the author let three years pass between the books as it made Lee's newfound maturity more believable. In fact Lee totally won me over in this book and he and Miguel make a great couple.
The development of their relationship is somewhat rocky but still sweet and hot. These guys are truely meant to be together! I really enjoyed reading their story.
I loved seenging Camden and Reid again - I love those guys! Another thing I liked was that I didn't figure out the mystery, when we got to know who was involved I was truely surprised, that doesn't happen that often.
I can't wait to read another book in this series! Are we going to see the redemption of Austin? Or maybe Jeremy? With an author who could make me change my mind about Lee so completely I wouldn't be surprised if she decided to make detective Green likeable!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 22, 2018When I read the blurb for this, I didn't think it would be my thing. It all felt a little too heavy for me, and I tend to like my romance with happy, fluffy side-plots. But this book completely won me over. I love a good second chance romance, that that's basically what this is. The characters were so fully realized, as are all the characters I've read from DJ Jamison, and they have sparkling chemistry right off the bat that makes me root for them. This is the second in the series and can be read as a standalone, but I found myself excited to read the first book so I could catch a glimpse of Lee and Miguel together.
The mystery was sufficiently mysterious, too. I found myself racing through the last half of the book just to get to the culprit at the end. Always a good sign with a mystery.
Highly recommend!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 27, 2018I loved the characters and the development of the plot. I really liked that the original charterers from the first book were continued and developed! Too often the original story is abandoned and I’m left wondering about the origin plot line. Thanks so much for a great story, I can’t wait to read more.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 18, 2018This story kept my interest from start to finish. Well written. Best readers and or editor did a good job.
I liked the diversity in the MCs. There needs to be more of that. Hope there are more in the series.
