    DJ Jamison left me totally sated with her holiday edition in the standalone series Thrust Into Love. In 'Sexted By Santa' Christian and Jaxson find love amongst doubt, confusion and fear… where they least expect it.

    Author Jamison introduces us to Christian and Jaxson gloriously. A stodgy old professor who hates Christmas, Christian gets roped into playing Santa. Not once… but thrice! Oh, and he needs to bring his “boyfriend” (whom he lied about having) to the college holiday party. His single father neighbor Jaxson, who adores his eight-year-old daughter Tori (who has type 1 diabetes), is doing his best to keep it all together – alone. Oh, and he just so happens to be a former student who Christian expressed no faith in when Jaxson needed direction.

    Fear not… Professor Christian Kringle’s (yes – that’s his real name) bestie has him covered. When he creates a humorous online profile on a hookup app, Christian and Jaxson shall meet with neither being the wiser (except for a thought here and there – but no!). With secret user names and no real photos, their teasing banter turns to friendship.

    Three years into a divorce from a younger man, Christian doesn’t expect to be charmed by the guy on the other end of the screen, but he is. Jaxson doesn’t expect to have a connection, but he does. And so, they decide to meet in person… only to discover the reality. But, with their on-screen interactions so magical – and steamy - can they leave their grievances in the past and see what transpires?

    While Christian makes his three Santa stops, he and Jaxson go on their “fake dates” and each delight in the feeling of “family”, both begin to see more in each other – and themselves – than they thought was possible. Could this actually be real?

    All through 'Sexted By Santa' there is this build up – a tiny bit of angst – that the sleigh is going to go off course. Can Jaxson let go and trust others to help? Will Christian stick around when the going gets tough? And when will Tori have an emergency? As you’d expect, it culminates in epic fashion – on Christmas day – but is beautifully resolved.

    DJ Jamison’s magic in 'Sexted By Santa' is the communication these two men have. Even when they stumble, letting internal pride, fears and overthinking direct them, they don’t give up and tackle their missteps head on. That’s what a working relationship is!

    Oh I loved this! It just made me feel happy. This started out as what I thought would be a cute little romance between two neighbors, a Christmas grinch and a single Dad. But it quickly became so much more. It became a book about letting your guard down, learning to trust, falling in love, and realizing family is where your heart is. I just loved everything about this book. From grumpy Christian who just needed someone to love and truly love him in return, to overprotective Jax with a heart of gold, to a wise behind her years adorable 8 year old that was the focal point for this wonderful found family.     Started reading this because DJ Jamison is usually fairly low angst and I just needed something light and sweet. This story was perfect for that and I really enjoyed reading it.

    As usual I was somewhat confused on why Jaxson needed to "find the right words" to tell his daughter about his relationship. As a single mother for many years I learned you basically just say whatever you need to say and let them ask questions if they have any but it all worked out so overall this one hit the spot!

    May contains spoilers: In general, the main story, fear, feeling, struggle are great, really well writing. On another side, there some pointless pages like the proposition to became a polyamory, to be just completely ignoring this question for the entire book, never heard of it again.
