Destruction (Crimson Bonds Book 1) Kindle Edition
Allies.
When Mafia Bosses Allesandro Martelli and Cristian Amato are kidnapped, their fledgling alliance is put to test as the once rivals are forced to rely on each other for survival.
Friends.
With the Bosses gone, Roman Amato and Emilio Martelli step up to lead their respective Families. They’ve both trained extensively for such a task, but reality is always worse. Forced to work together and trust each other as leaders and allies, rather than just friends, they quickly learn that 'Boss' is more than a title and position, it's a sacrifice.
Rivals.
The two Mafia Families were never meant to work so closely together, but in order to survive, the Martellis and Amatos need to go against everything they’ve ever been taught.
Without knowing who to trust, both the Bosses and the Families must rely on cooperation to make it through to the end… If they don’t become their own worst enemies first.
Destruction is book 1 in the Crimson Bonds series and ends on a cliffhanger. All books in this series must be read in order. This is a dark MM and MMM+ story with various pairings and relationships. Please see inside for the full list of TWs.
This is an Amato Family (All's Fair Series by Abrianna Denae) and Martelli Family (Vendetta series by Leigh Kenzie) crossover. This is not a standalone story. At least one of the series, Vendetta or All’s Fair, needs to be read first to truly understand the dynamics of this story.

About the authors
Abrianna Denae is a queer author living in Northern California. An English major, they have always had a passion for writing.
Deciding to sit down and write one of the many stories that had plagued their mind for years was the easy part—finding the time to do it was a different story.
Caffeine is their best friend, and sleep is their worst enemy.
A lover of books that make the reader feel something, Abrianna tries to incorporate as much of their real-world views and feelings into their stories as they can.
Abrianna spends way too much time on Facebook. You can find them here:

Leigh is a dark M/M romance author from Texas who writes villains of varying degrees. She considers coffee a major food group and her family fears broken coffeemakers. She writes in her spare time, forced to the keyboard by characters entirely too vocal in her opinion and often falls victim to plot monkeys. In between creating mayhem with her characters and friends, her hope is to transport readers to fictional places and provide darkness with a twist.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 26, 2025While I have not read the All's Fair Series, I enjoyed this story and the addition of the series' characters to the characters from the Vendetta Series. This was a very enjoyable story, and once I finished I immediately pre-ordered every book in the rest of the series.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 17, 2025What's better than one sprawling, kinky, interconnected mafia family? Two, obviously. Though the individual series by Denae and Kenzie have distinct themes and vibes, these authors combine them brilliantly and each bring their strengths to the debut book of this new adventure. This isn't simply a tale of two families forced to work together to defeat a common foe -- the families slowly start to meld in other, unexpected ways that bring intriguing new facets to what could have simply been two authors playing in each other's sandboxes. Though this first book only scrapes the surface of the overarching plot, I'm already completely invested in how these familiar characters will continue to develop over the course of the series. If you enjoy either series by these authors, this continuation is not to be missed.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 25, 2025I have never read Leigh so this was my first book by her. I thank the authors for putting a character map in thr front to help explain who is who.
I loved loved the two families having to work together when the head of their families are taken.
We get to see their 2nd step up and the families working together trying to find their men. I loved seeing Roman in this role that he is so ready for. (Again, I didn’t know Leigh’s charcaters). This ends on a cliffhanger, which is right in the blurb, and the series will need to be read in order. Ohhh, heed the TW too..
- Reviewed in the United States on February 18, 2025I both loved and hated this book! Loved because it’s amazing and I love all these characters, hated cause it’s over til book two and I’m so sad about that! Also, the way it ended. Cliffhanger central. I’m totally giving side eye to the authors, the evil geniuses they are. Il Padrone and Cristian have been kidnapped and that leaves both their Families flailing and trying to find them while they also deal with so much other fall out. So many things happened that I didn’t see coming and I won’t say anything else cause no spoilers here. Such an amazing story though, everything I’ve come to expect and love and hate from these authors, except now they are together and cooking up all that darkness together. Amazingly well written. All the characters we love and dislike *cough* Luca *Cough*. Ugh I can’t wait for the next book to see what twisted things will be thrown at us. If you haven’t read the Vendetta series and the All Fair’s series, read those first and then this book. I highly recommend both series anyway, but to understand this one, I think it’s best to read both series. Fantastic job ladies, can’t wait to do this again sometime.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2025Destruction is the first book in the Crimson Bonds series. This is what the author's suggest about reading this new series. What a great way for these two authors to collaborate and start a new series. Cristian and Allesandro are kidnapped and Roman and Lio have to step up to lead their families and find their bosses. This book was a rollercoaster ride of twists and turns leading to a big cliffhanger. I loved watching these authors combine their worlds so perfectly. I couldn't put this book down once I started even knowing a cliffhanger was coming. Now I have to wait for the next book and I really want it now. I would definitely recommend this book as a 5 star read.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 18, 2025This was INTENSE. Unfortunately I’ve only read one book by Leigh Kenzie so her characters/writing is new to me.
This held my attention the whole time. We get multiple POV’s which made it easier on me. Of course I absolutely love the Amato Family so this kinda broke my heart. Now I need these two authors to hurry up, please, and get us book two because I need to know what happens next. 🖤🔥🩸🔥🖤
🚨 Heads up readers… I HIGHLY suggest reading the trigger warnings before diving into this since it’s definitely NOT an easy read. 🚨 Book ends on a cliffhanger. 🚨
My favorite quotes:
•Ten: Whoever decided to **** with us is either brave, or really ******* stupid. Either way, there’s nothing anyone in this room wouldn’t do to get back what’s ours.
•Marcus: I love the versatility of my SUV. Plus, I can fit more tied up bodies in it, despite what Keegan says about the trunk space in his car.
•Hollis: “You’ve never given me any reason to doubt you—even when you kissed Roman without talking to me first. I…I want you to have this. I don’t know how it’ll work, but it will work, because I’ll burn the world down for you.”
- Reviewed in the United States on March 6, 2025Oh my lord... these two... *A plague to both your houses!*
I expect nothing but the best from both of these two, and boy did they deliver!! I laughed, loved, and cried during this. The rollercoaster of emotions was brutal and the worst and best ways.
These two worlds were perfect to blend together and I eagerly await the next book!
Very spicy. Very Abri and Leigh. lol. I was not prepared despite knowing how both of them are. I'd give this ten stars if I could!
(I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.)

5.0 out of 5 stars Combination of two great series
I will say that you need to heed the advice that you really need to be familiar with at least one of the series that are combined in this book. I have read Leigh Kenzie’s series and was really glad that I knew some of the background and characters. These two authors have my admiration because if it’s hard to write a book then it must be even more challenging to combine two worlds together and write a book in them. They have done a marvelous job and written an excellent story. There is just too much going on to talk about plot etc.
I will say that I greatly enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait for more. Also I’m off to read Abrianna Denae’s series.

5.0 out of 5 stars An explosive and emotional Book
OMG this was such fun - in a violent, bloody, steamy and funny way.
This joins together two mafia romance series by two different authors and the families collide when both heads are kidnapped.
It definitely helps to have read both the series and I got more from the experience knowing the characters.
So many hooks and hints set up for book two.
