FROM THE AUTHOR OF THE CRUISE

Coffee Tea the Chef & Me

"Five big fat (Michelin) stars for this book!" NetGalley ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

When media agent, Hilary Hargreaves, travels to Ireland to look at a campaign for a new cookery school, she meets a blast from her past - the romantic but reckless chef, Mickey Lloyd, who is hell-bent on resurrecting his flagging career. Her tough demeanour is rocked, as it becomes apparent that Mickey's intentions involve more than a stint behind a stove in his quest to pursue her. But as plans for the school gain momentum, she realises that she's developing more than a passing interest in reformed alcoholic, Long Tom Hendry, who owns the crumbling old mansion where the school will be homed. Hilary has many ingredients to juggle, with her demanding client list, which looks set to boil over if she doesn't keep control.

From London's bustling, Soho, to Southern Ireland and the sunny shores of the Caribbean, has Hilary got too much on her plate, and is she really prepared to risk it all for love?

"A fabulous story, it made me shriek with laughter and I loved every twist and turn! And so much of it could be only too true. One of my favourite reads."Valentina Harris, Author, Chef & International Cookery School Host.

"You'll go NUTS! about this book! A great read!"Andrew Nutter, Celebrity Chef

Caroline James always wanted to write, but instead of taking a literary route, she followed a career in the hospitality industry, which included owning a pub and a beautiful country house hotel. She was also a media agent representing celebrity chefs. When she finally glued her rear to a chair and began to write, the words flowed, and several novels later, she gained many bestseller badges for her books.

Her popular bestseller, The Cruise, is described as ‘Girl power for the over-sixties! ' Caroline's next hilarious novel about having fun being young at sea is The Cruise Club, which will be published in the summer of 2025.

Caroline’s hilarious novels include The French Cookery School, The Spa Break, and The Best Boomerville Hotel, which is depicted as ‘Britain’s answer to the Best Marigold Hotel’.

She likes to write in Venus, her holiday home on wheels, and in her spare time, she walks with Fred, her Westie, or swims in a local lake. Caroline is a member of the Romantic Novelists Association, the SOA, and the Society of Women’s Writers & Journalists and writes short stories and articles, contributing to many publications.

Just a few editorial changes for spelling and usage would go a long way. The plot twists included both the expected and surprising. All tolled a fun frolicking read.

This book is very enjoyable to read. The plot varied enough to keep me reading although I had decided on the perfect ending before reading it. Sometimes the characters seemed a bit slow in understanding what was happening. Since food preparation and recipe development and testing are in my domain, I had to read this book. It has humor, romance, and intrigue incorporated in a delightful blending and is quite tasty. Caroline James is a very gifted author who knows how to spin a tale without boring her readers. I have read several of her books and intend to read more. Thank you Caroline James for writing "So You Think You're A Celebrity Chef."

This wasn't one of the best books Ive read! Drawn out, action was only here n there. Wish charactors would have been more developed. Everyone needs to make there own decision but wasn't for me.

A great read with enough shenanigans to keep you reading! I loved all the characters even Lenny who you hoped would be caught before the end. Lots to celebrate at Christmas!

Another great escape from reality. Caroline combines storylines so well! I just wish I could help proofread them, such a shame that so many errors are missed.

3.0 out of 5 stars If you don't mind all the carousing, it's an interesting contemporary story.
Reviewed in Canada on November 30, 2016
A contemporary story with a cast of characters of various sexual interests who indulge in lots of drinking and canoodling in between pulling off these various cooking events. In the midst is a high-roller con man trying to sell investors on his latest scheme. This is not a quick read, as scenes flip back and forth between the half-dozen primary characters and a number of minor ones, their jobs & love lives. At times I had to stop to recall who's who.

I got this book as a freebie, but don't care for the boozing, bed-hopping lifestyle and did a lot of skipping through the last half of the book to avoid all the details. I didn't ever find the story funny, but interesting enough to finish and see how things turned out for everyone. The writer did a good job creating realistic characters, though, and especially in making Hillary human and vulnerable as well as savvy and tough. I wanted to see her happy in the end.

A really interesting and enveloping book with some really strong characters who come 'alive' thanks to the Author's beautifully descriptive style of writing. Great storyline with its share of twists and turns.

Loved this book. The only problem is once you have read one, you absolutely must read all of the others. Each can be read as a stand alone or in sequence.
Lighthearted and funny, as an older lady I relate to the content, thoughts and feelings these ladies exhibit.
Although, I think these are suitable for any age, not just “we old uns 😉”.
Go on, spoil yourself with some lovely me time, settle down with your choice of drink and enjoy.
