Tyrone Johnson is looking for The One. But what if the two applicants are his straight ex-best friend and the man who messed with Tyrone's teenaged heart?
His best friend Nat was always there for him, until he dropped Tyrone in high school to run with the jocks and date the prom queen. Now he's back and wants Tyrone's forgiveness--and his heart.
Arnaud, the French choreographer who swept eighteen-year-old Tyrone off his feet, is also back. He's eager to reignite their hot affair after leaving it in the dust four years ago.
Which one can Tyrone trust not to abandon him again? And can he trust himself to make the right choice?
If you like second chance stories and sexy dancing, you'll love The Dancer's Dilemma.

This author has the perfect touch with college-aged romance main characters. ...Both characters grow and develop throughout the story in a realistic fashion for their age. This author is one I will follow wherever they want to go with this age group in M/M romance.

I said it after I read the first book in the series, and I'll say it again, this author really knows how to capture that fresh, awkward, learning, experiencing atmosphere that is the hallmark of the college years. Her characters are so sweet and wonderful you can't help but fall in love with them. I am looking forward to more in this series.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 21, 2020I enjoyed this story and especially the lovable main character, Tyrone. I applaud his decision to be the person who lives his joy - so many of us are driven to be more than that without appreciating the happiness we’re giving up in the process. Tyrone was a refreshing pleasure to read. I also enjoyed the topical-ness of the story line and the way minority & marginalized characters were front and center. The people you read about felt like real people living in the real, contemporary world. Add to that the fact that the author is also supporting some great causes with this book, and it made me even more happy that I bought it! Thoroughly fun read. Would definitely recommend.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 5, 2020The Dancer’s Dilemma is one of those books that theoretically could be read alone, but it is so much richer if one reads the other two books first, which I have done. While I thought Jerry was my favorite of the three friends, after reading The Dancer’s Dilemma it might now be Tyrone. Having taught at an HBCU, I found it easy to understand Tyrone and his family, having met their counterparts IRL. I enjoyed watching Tyrone navigate his first job as a professional dancer, one many people dream of but few achieve. While the ending was not in doubt for me, it was satisfying nonetheless.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 2, 2020The first book in the series was my favorite, and when I met Tyrone, I thought he was a sweetheart, especially after he introduced Arlo to Jerry, but this book wasn't one for me. Tyrone is still someone you root for, but the toxic relationships he's had; a summer fling with a man in his thirties when he's eighteen and his best friend ghosting him when they started high school. Arnaud is a predator and Tyrone beats himself up about it, never realizing that the man took advantage of him. And Nat, his old best friend, it took me a while to open up and like him. In the end, you can sense how much Nat loves Tyrone as they work out issues such as Nat working too much and Tyrone pulling away when he thinks he's going to be hurt. Although the ending was good, it took a while to get into this one.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 29, 2020I havE many gay authors I am fond of. This one made me feel right at home . I, have been with my partner for 20 years We are a interracial couple. Mixed stories keep me reading. Thumbs up!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 23, 20211) This was a thoroughly enjoyable read. I was pulled in by the main character, Tyrone, who is well drawn and quite engaging as he goes about his life. The secondary characters are also fully realized, and the story flows well. This book is the third in a series, and these characters' lives were explored in previous books. However, the careful writing here makes it easy to fully enjoy this novel as a standalone.
2) Sweet, and at times heartwrenching second chance romance. The idea of knowing that the man who gave you a do-over is leaving the country to pursue a dancing career is heartbreaking for Nat. Luckily, dancer Tyrone is told that choreographer Arnaud is not only proposing romance exclusively for him but has done so with other dancers allowing Tyrone to drop the idea of leaving for France. I enjoyed reading this story.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 13, 2020I'm not going to lie, I hate love triangles so I was super hesitant to read this one; however, there really is no doubt as to who Tyrone will choose.
Let me start off by saying that Arnaud can fall off a cliff onto a cactus. I would throat punch this man so hard. I really would. He's was an absolute sleazeball, and the fact that he pushed Tyrone so hard and crossed several boundaries made it difficult to read this book at times.
I understand that Nat had some honest truths to deliver to Tyrone, and I am all for actual character development when it comes to second chance romances, but I wanted to like Nat more than I did. I connected more with Tyrone even though he too had his fair share of mistakes, I just found his character development more compelling. That being said, I was happy when he finally found it possible to forgive Nat for breaking his heart and leaving him behind. I cheered them on from that point on.
Also adding on here that while I did not read the other two books in this series *yet*, this can be read as a standalone.
Overall, I enjoyed the book and will definitely be checking out the previous books in this series.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 3, 2020Second chance for friendship and love. Our MC, Tyrone is just starting out in a dance company and he is learning to take care of himself and value himself. He has lots of choices in this story that allows him to grow and choose a healthy direction. The story-line had real promise. I would have enjoyed more connection and dialogue between Nat and Tyrone to support the relationship they are developing. There were past hurts that were talked about, but i think needed more development to be really addressed.
This is book three in the Campus Connections series and can be read as a stand-alone story.
I was gifted this book from Gay Romance Reviews and i freely give my honest opinion and review
- Reviewed in the United States on November 12, 2020I’ve been waiting on Tyrone’s story since finishing book two! When this book came up for review, I jumped on it without even reading the blurb. I met him in the previous books, and liked him. That was good enough for me! Sign. Me. Up.
Although he has two men pursuing him, this is not a love triangle. In fact, if I could push Arnaud off a fake cliff, I would. He’s unlikable; well written, but unlikable just the same. I kind of figured Tyrone would go the direction he chose, and I fully support it.
This story was well written. Already knowing most of the characters made it feel like spending time with old friends. I enjoyed getting to know Tyrone on a deeper level. Nat was also an enjoyable character. I cheered them on as they worked through the past, and present, to get where they wanted to be. While this probably could be read as a stand alone, I recommend reading the other books first.
If you’re looking for a fun, sweet, low angst, sexy story, this should be right up your alley.
