    Sasha and Carter’s story. Carter is John’s brother. Sasha fell hard for Carter, but feminist to the bone.

    The first time I read Carter’s story, Sasha’s bratty ‘ I want what I want now’ attitude did not work for me. I returned their story immediately to Kindle Unlimited. But the other characters kept speaking to me, so I read everyone else’s story. Carter kept cropping up in the other books. I had to know his story. Boy, am I glad I did.

    We actually get into their heads as we see Sasha transform into gifting Carter her submission. I may sound sappy but this story makes you feel warm inside...especially when you get into the heads of the men as they proudly commit to cherish their women.

    This story contains spankings, bottom play, erotic pleasure which make you want to melt. Oh, the writing is so vivid and you may even start searching for your own Carter out there.

In this character-driven romance book, Ms. Handel introduces readers to Carter Bachman and Sasha Lazio—two dynamic characters. These two have an intense and potent chemistry that fuels their relationship. He is an alpha male who loves a woman who challenges his authority every step of the way. At first, I was unsure about how I felt about Sasha. She is a headstrong, self-absorbed, and manipulative brat. As their tale unfolds, readers get to watch her metamorphosis. Her antics are a great strategy to keep readers hooked.

    In this second book, Ms. Handel reveals a clearer view into the essences of the Bachman Family and Village. Readers observe their dedication and focus in providing safety and financial security for its’ members. I enjoyed how Ms. Handel pitched Sasha and Carter against each other. As two strong and independent characters there was bound to be clashes. Ms. Handel succeeds in blending their personalities and romantic journey without crushing their souls. I enjoyed learning more about a few of the secondary characters like Brett, Tess, and Rockland. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this story.

    Sasha and Carter are engaged. She is living with him in his house in the Village. She works for him in his gym. She is athletic and teaches a much loved spinning class.

    To be a Bachman Bride, a woman must agree to live the Bachman lifestyle, which means that the woman must be submissive to her husband. She must accept punishment by him if she does something wrong. Carter loves Sasha so much. He has not punished her, even though she defies him and is a bit bratty.

    Everything comes to a head one evening when he refuses to take her out to a club. She has a 5:00 spin class to teach in the morning. He tries to reason with her, but she tells him that she will go without him. She runs in the house and slams the door. All of this is observed by Bronson Bachman, the head of the family. He tells Carter that if he does not punish her, that he will spank her himself.

    Carter nods his head and stomps up the steps, two at a time. When he reaches their room, Sasha is gone. She has gone to the club wearing an outrageously short, sexy dress. She is dancing in the middle of the dance floor when she is grabbed by the arm by a visibly angry Carter. Now is the time he has to give her an ultimatum. Either she accepts the Bachman lifestyle and submits herself to Carter, or they are through. What will her answer be?

Sasha and Carter are made for each other where Carter is caring and forgiving Sasha has stubborn streak that will definitely get her into trouble more time then one human could get into. Carter is part of a brotherhood ,and has a lot important things that he has to take care not only with the brotherhood,but also his gym so he would think that the girl he loves would be easy to keep under control boy was he worng. Sasha might have ideas of trying of being the one in control when it comes to hers , and Carter's relationship, but when the real Carter comes out to play she sees a whole different Carter ,and that is when she decided to get in line or risk the chance of losing him forever. This was a great read cant wait to dive into the next one in this seroes.

    Triggers: domestic discipline involving spanking and plugging

    Carter, one of the Bachmann's falls in love with Sasha, a very spoiled, selfish woman.
    They work together at Carter's gym. Carter explains the Bachmann lifestyle to Sasha. She says she will follow the rules or face the punishment. But Carter goes too easy on her. Bronson, head of the family tells him to discipline her or he will.
    They briefly break up. She begs and says she will follow the rules but again she breaks them.
    Eventually they get a HEA.

    This series so far, are about nice Mafia guys, no violence (like you'd find in other Mafia books) who practice domestic discipline and the women they fall for. Carter seems decent enough but I just couldn't like Sasha.
