Catch Twenty Two: An Enemies-to-Lovers Romance (Westover Prep Book 2) Kindle Edition
Frankie
I wasn't looking for him.
He found me.
With his sexy smirk and irresistible body.
I wanted nothing to do with someone like him.
Judgmental and brooding.
So full of himself.
But now, I'm stuck playing the fool.
Falling for him.
And losing it all.
If only for one night.
ZEKE
Stuffy, rich, entitled.
The kind of girl that gets what she wants.
When she wants it.
And I want nothing to do with her.
Yet, I can't stay away.
I'm drawn to her kindness and compassion.
Her beauty.
She holds me when the pain won't subside.
And now, if I can help it, I'm going to hold on to her…
Forever.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 23, 2020Marie James proves once again that she can do no wrong...MC -- check, MM -- check, Bully -- check, check. There are many who don't like reading bully stories...but the reason why I DO love them (despite personally having been bullied when I was younger) is that, most of the time...there is a reason for their actions (not a great reason mind you, but something underlying that causes this ripple effect), and this story is a good example of that. Zeke sees his life unfolding in a way he never wanted it to and he'll do anything to prevent that from happening, including making Frankie's life as painful as he can, while fooling everyone else. Frankie WANTS to see him in a different light, but he is making that very nearly impossible. In the end, when it matters most, will Zeke have what it takes to prove himself...not only to everyone else, but yes, to himself. I wanted to hug Zeke and beat him in equal measures but I really enjoyed where this story went.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2020Loved this story on Frankie and Zeke.
It was awful the angst that he has towards her . The way he was hot one minute an then cold as ice. So confusing for her to even figure him out.
Was nice of Dalton to tell him how to get her back.
Frankie’s parents were awful. I was glad Zeke’s mom was so generous and accepting for them.
This story had lots of interesting twists and turns.
Bullying in young teenagers is awful.
Good read thank you.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 24, 2020Zeke is a boy who's lost more in 18 years of life than most people will ever have. He's jagged, raw, and angry in a way only a teenager can be. When the beautiful granddaughter of the woman he works for comes to stay, he finds an outlet for all the pent up anger and frustration. Frankie and Zeke have a story that made me read well past my bedtime cause I just couldn't put the book down. It's a story that sucks you in from the first moment you start reading about the farm hand and the owners granddaughter to the last page where there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Definitely a book that needs to be read.

**RECEIVED ARC FOR HONEST REVIEW**
A very angst filled book. Can be read as standalone but to get the full effect read book one of the Westover Prep Series.
Frankie is a not so popular girl used to being bullied who meets Zeke during a summer visiting her grandmother. Zeke is filled with hurt and anger stemming from feelings of lack of control. Misery loves company and he takes his misery out on Frankie. We get to see this play on her feelings and confusion both young adults feel when around each other.
Technically there isn't anything wrong with the book. The storyline is interesting and I admit there was one instance I was like, "No way! I did not see that coming." It is rare to throw me but that time MJ did.
The characters are ok. I have to admit I put this book down and read other books before coming back to finish. I just couldn't get involved in the story. I understood Zeke's angst and anger and instant attraction. I understood Frankie's physical attraction to Zeke. Beyond that I didn't feel their connection. We get so much of Zeke and why he is emotionally abusive but why is Frankie's parents emotionally abusive to her? It has made her a tad distant and aloof as a character. I feel more of a connection between characters would be felt if her family and their story had been fleshed out. Sorry but 3/5 stars.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 26, 2020If you want something emotional this book is for you. A lot of heartbreak for Zeke in the beginning. Frankie has had a lot of trouble with bullying and her parents are not on hand. Excellent story.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 18, 2020I loved this book by Marie James. It is an awesome new series that takes place in a prep high school. These two characters are wonderful. Zeke and Frankie are a great couple. They go through up and downs but they make it out on top. I recommend this book.

Ugh. I loved it, however, I was not Zekes biggest fan. But I’m glad he showed how great he really was. I wish the epilogue went further into the future!!!! I can’t get enough of these four! Great writing, great story, and a HEA!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I am loving this series. I do hope there is more to come soon. Ms James, come on, I reckon Linc, Graham and Bennett deserve a book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A bully you can't hate on!
What an absolute gem of a story! Know why? It was written in such a way that you just couldn't hate him even when he was mean. Even at his worst you understood him and i loved that!
Frankie is sent to her grandmothers for the summer. She thinks it'll be different there where no one knows her. She can get away from the bullying for a while and enjoy life. But the second she sets eyes on the handsome ranch hand she knows she couldn't have been more wrong. His sneer said it all.
Zeke is bitter. Forced to help his family by taking a job with his dad he's angry about the way his life is planned out. When his parents mention he should be friends with the boss's granddaughter he knows what their plan is. Marry him off to the rich girl. He's having none of it. So when she turns up and his body tells him to take her he fights tooth and nail against it.
He pushes and pulls. He takes his anger out on her. Can she ever understand and forgive?
I loved the push and pull from Zeke. But the way this book is written it gives the perfect view of him. Marie did such a good job with him because i had nothing but love for him. He broke my heart! He needed a great big hug bless his heart!
You will feel for Frankie but i found myself thinking "She's a tough cookie. She can take it" lol i knew she'd be ok! She may be the victim but she deals with it with such dignity i felt really proud of her!
I wasn't expecting the surprise so that was a nice little twist too.
I loved them both together it really made me smile... eventually lol
I'm keeping my eyes, toes and fingers crossed for a bit of RH or MMF for the next book!!
Loved the storyline, loved the characters, loving this series! Highly recommend!

4.0 out of 5 stars A good follow up
This was a good follow up to Dalton and Piper's story. This book was a bit of a rollercoaster ride as far as the love hate went between the two and I couldn't wait for it to end. If I'm honest there was a bit much hate for me. It seemed like most of the book had me twisted in knots and then things turned the corner and the book ended. This genre isn't actually my fave but I like this author so I wanted to give them a go and I have enjoyed them and look forward to the next book sounds very interesting. I still really liked the book but would have loved to see a bit more love.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good read - rubbish Ending
I really enjoyed this book. Great story. Kept you guessing how things were going to go. Heartbreaking too. But the ending was rubbish!! Leaving so many questions. That's why it only gets 4 stars.
