Katie Wyatt is 25% American Sioux Indian. Born and raised in Arizona, she has traveled and camped extensively through California, Arizona, Nevada, Mexico, and New Mexico. Looking at the incredible night sky and the giant Saguaro cacti, she has dreamed of what it would be like to live in the early pioneer times.

Spending time with a relative of the great Wyatt Earp, also named Wyatt Earp, Katie was mesmerized and inspired by the stories he told of bygone times. This historical interest in the old West became the inspiration for her Western romance novels.

Her books are a mixture of actual historical facts and events mixed with action and humor, challenges and adventures. The characters in Katie’s clean romance novels draw from her own experiences and are so real that they almost jump off the pages. You feel like you’re walking beside them through all the ups and downs of their lives. As the stories unfold, you’ll find yourself both laughing and crying.The endings will never fail to leave you feeling warm inside.

    I really liked this clean romance. It is a quick read that I enjoyed in an afternoon. The author gives us a glimpse of how life was back in the days of the frontier. She helps us to see that even young ladies from Chicago can make it out West. With prayer, our young Cate lets go of her past and does all that she can to learn to be a good wife, the type of wife she never expected to be. Growing up well-to-do, she saw marriage with babies and servants. Working side by side with the man she’s fallen in love with changes her perspective.

    I enjoyed the story of Cate learning to become a rancher's wife after living a life of privilege. What I really loved about this book, is the way God is infused into the story, and leading and guiding Cate and how she reaches out to Him to help her. My daughter who is 12 is always curious about what I reading, and I loved knowing that I could read this story out loud and not worry about sexual content or violence, this was a sweet story, and I have already have another book by Katie Wyatt to read.
