About the author

Canadian born and bred, and a lifelong dreamer, I began writing at an early age and can't recall a time when I wasn't creating in some artistic form. My life has had several on-going love affairs that shape much of what I write, the American West, Victorian England, cowboys, a passion for pirates, Greek Gods, and Ancient Egypt. The other endless love affair in my life is Italia and all its magic, beauty, and dazzling culture. That passion spills into all aspects of my life.
My first major fantasy novel is AS FATE DECREES. (Available in bookstores everywhere, and on Amazon's international sites.) The novel relies heavily on Greek Mythology, and is set in Ancient Greece and modern Athens. If you enjoy a tale of Gods, Destiny, and the battles of an Eternal Champion, this is the book for you! (Less than six months after publication, it was a finalist for the 2008 Aurora Award.) Not surprisingly, there's a touch of romance throughout, of course! A visit to my website will show the diversity of what is currently available, and the mixing of genres and styles that will be employed in many up-coming projects as well.

This is not the first time Austin has passed through the doors of Chantille’s establishment. It’s also not the first, second, or even fifth time either. He has built up quite the reputation, and Chantille has successfully avoided his attempts at interaction time and time again. This time, though, something is different. She feels her resolve break down as she finds herself craving his touch. Will it be a one-time thing, or will there be more to it?
Bridger’s Champagne and Chocolate is more than just erotica – it’s an erotic romance. Emotions run high, and play a big part in the story. The reader is drawn into the story, and into the lives of the characters as the story plays out. When the intimate moments come into play, it’s not just a physical exploration of the flesh, but is also a display of emotional vulnerability and trust. Beautifully written with fantastic narrative, this Champagne and Chocolate holds the reader’s attention from the very beginning. As a plus, it features an independent female protagonist who doesn’t lessen herself for anyone. She does not seek approval. She gives herself, rather than being taken. It’s a refreshing take on an erotic trope, and one that is definitely worth reading.

Ms. Bridger has once again done an excellent job writing this short story. It's fast paced and, as per the author trademark, hot, hot, hot!!
**********SPOILER ALERT************
The lovers, Chantille and Austin, meet, become involved and fall in love. Chantille is the owner/operator of a brothel/casino in San Francisco and Austin is very lucky at gambling.
Then his life takes him back to a time and place he would rather forget. A life filled with pain and heartache. A family who shuns anyone who is not of their class distinction and someone else he would just as soon kill than look at every again.
When he introduces his lover his family shuns her due to her "lack of respectability". This combined with the man he can't stand drives a wedge between the lovers and nearly breaks them. Will they survive all these outside factors to know a love of the ages?
It's an excellent story of love, passion, and anger. The story takes the reader on a ride that won't soon be forgotten. This book is guaranteed to please the reader!
Escape to another time, another place and fall in love with Champagne and Chocolate.
The attention to the details draws you into the story until you feel like you have merged with the characters, and feel not only their passion, but their individual pain, as each helps the other to heal from the ravages of war.
Denyse Bridger delivers one extremely sexy, very hot little story, with Champagne and Chocolates.
Chantille L'Amour runs "The Palace", the high-end brothel and casino in San Francisco. She had come a long way after the Civil War had ruined her family's fortunes. While she had success, she is definitely not a lady, not that she works alongside her girls, of course. That changed, when Austin Standish came to town. Austin is many things: a gambler, a gunslinger, and a lover, and he had fully intended to woo Chantille, if she is willing. And after they indulge that one time of their desires... Circumstances forced them together... for a great adventure...
I find the adventure a bit too simplistic and convenient, and the idea that a woman can own a brothel, even in San Francisco, was a bit weird, in the historical west. Still, it was an okay romantic adventure. Not too much unique personality there though.
