Chandelier: A dark, why choose romance. (Tarnished Crowns Trilogy Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 205 ratings

Lovers. Liars. Traitors. Thieves. We would become all of these. The first time I meet Isaac, I’m on my knees in front of another man. The second time, I discover I’m a pawn in our countries’ wager for peace. A promised princess. The sister to the heir to a tarnished crown. A pretty chandelier, born to sparkle, distract. My country is at war, just like my heart. Two men. Three sides. No happy endings.. Chandelier is the first in the Tarnished Crown Trilogy.

This book has got everything. Love, lust, passion, deceit, secrets, and a whole lot more than you could even imagine. Chandelier’s plot is so original and addicting. I couldn’t put it down and had to read it twice. It is the first in the Tarnished Crowns trilogy and I am counting the days for Grenade and Emeralds to be released. It is so much more than a royal romance and it is twisted with politics, love, murder and betrayal.
Blair was never meant to wear the crown. She is an innocent who is caught up in a sinister plot to destroy her father’s throne. When she unwillingly becomes the next heir, her childhood love, Ben, returns as her body guard. She needs to guard her heart from him, but he is the only one who can keep her safe. As things reach a boiling point, so does their chemistry. Adding fuel to the blaze, they befriend Isaac, the advisor to their enemy. The three of them discover a love deeper than secrets and pain, but only time will tell if their love will withstand the political divide.

OK, I just finished Chandelier. I loved the dynamics, the story, the characters, the parallel universe the story untangles in. Annie Dyer is an excellent storyteller and the characters are real. Plus, the heroine is not a 17 year old naïve virgin, which is what most of the bools portray for some silly -and frankly, tiresome by now- reason, but a grown up woman who knows exactly what she wants and is experienced as to her needs.

I can's say more. I am already diving into book number two of the series- and I have to say that I am more interested than I have been with tons of other books lately.

Five big stars for the first book in this intriguing new trilogy from Annie Dyer!

Suspense, heartbreak, and politics combine with some of the steamiest scenes I have ever read to make this story one you won't want to put down. I loved getting to know Blair and Ben and trying to guess how everything would play out in the end.

This is the first in a connected trilogy with a huge, jaw dropping cliff hanger at the end. I am definitely looking forward to Grenade releasing in just a few weeks!

It’s 2am & I couldn’t put this book down! What a fascinating, intriguing book! Blair is the Princess of Scotland in a tale woven in what-ifs - what if Scotland is its own country, led by a monarch, and struggling with its relationship to England & the prime minister? What if said princess “met” the prime minister’s lead advisor at a club in Seattle? What if her boyhood best friend, who she’s loved forever, is her security? What happens when all of those worlds collide? A steamy, hot cliffhanger - I can’t wait to see how this plays out!

I absolutely love the main characters. There is something special about Blair, Isaac and Ben.

I love that their trilogy is broken up and 1 book is told through each of their perspectives.

Chandelier is Blair's perspective and the beginning of their story together.

When I started to read this book I wasn't sure about it. I found the first chapter not intriguingly good. In fact i nearly didn't continue to read it. But I was very glad I did. The plot developed along nicely, the characters have depth and are believable. The story has me very interested in the outcome as sadly it's not a stand alone but the first part of a trilogy, so dear read I will now have to wait for the next installment, I hope you enjoy this book too

Blair is a Scottish princess and knows that her time is not her own. Ben, someone who she has loved for along time becomes her bodyguard and they have an impossible relationship. Everything has to be in secret and at times he cannot cope with the knowledge that it cant go any further. There is intrigue and danger as the Prime Minister of England fancies her and his adviser Isaac has eyes for Blair. Blair, Ben and Isaac have a connection at a time when her brother is trying to make good with England. Their father the King is ill and there are people wanting to kill. Fabulous start to a very sexy story.

4.0 out of 5 stars Political Drama and Sexy Romance In One

This book is an easy read. The premise, an independent Scotland with a revived Stewart dynasty, is gripping and Blair is an interesting heroine. The romance builds naturally and both male leads are strong and interesting. The only thing I didn’t like was the decision to start at the end and then flashback as I feel like it missed the chance for a gripping cliff hanger and also made me less invested in one of the characters as I kept waiting for the shoe to drop. Other than that, it was a great, easy read.

I was unsure what to expect from this book - royalty isn’t a great interest of mine but I really enjoyed this first book in the trilogy. The characters were well rounded and the story line kept me hooked. A steamy read

Chandelier is book one in the Tarnished Crown trilogy and it's MMF. It is flipping amazing! The trilogy is about Blair, a Scottish Princess, Ben her bodyguard, but they have a past and Isaac an advisor to the Prime minister, the kingmaker. Chandelier is told from Blair's point of view and just from the prologue alone you will be desperate to know what happens! Blair is a reluctant princess, she would rather just lead a normal life. Early on it's clear that her brother is trying to set Blair up with the prime minister but Blair is having none of it. The chemistry between Blair and Ben is beyond hot! Then Isaac enters the mix! By the end of Chandelier you will be desperat to find out what happens next! I know that I am! Fantastic start to this amazing trilogy by Annie.

I received an early copy of this and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
