Writing has always been something I've been interested in. I can go right back to my school days and think about how much I enjoyed my Creative Writing classes. ​

I was first published when I was fourteen when a poem I wrote about a cat was featured in a charity poetry book. I still have my copy of that book. I was so proud.

It wasn't until 2014 that I began to think I could actually write novels. The characters started speaking to me, resulting in my first book, Heart and Soul.

Since then, I have published a number of novels and novellas, with lots more to come.

Nicky is a British author from the West Midlands, England. When she's not writing, she loves running, musical theatre, singing, and of course, reading. She has a fondness for mint chocolate, Italian food, and a nice medium-rare steak with all the trimmings.

    The story had all the elements needed to give a balance between mystery and romance. I liked the idea of the cop with a real bad boy edge underneath. Poor Abi didn't know what hit her!

    Great writing but the editor of the book failed miserably which is unfortunate. While it may not seem like a lot, a reader does not expect to read a published book and find numerous errors that could have easily been caught.

    Wow! Where can I find an undercover cop to protect me?! This story was undeniably hot! Abigail’s Dad made a somewhat bad business decision and a threat was made against Abigail. In comes Alex to protect her, hired by her Father. Once they met, sparks flew! But an event that happened in Abigail’s past makes her leery of any kind of relationship. Can Alex break down her walls? Will Abigail let him into her heart? This story had all the feels. And there were many twists and turns that kept you guessing and turning the pages! I highly recommend this book. It is a truly enjoyable read. Not to mention that the “love” scenes are hot!! A definite must read!

    This is a new author to me, and I will certainly be looking out for her work in the future. Alex is an undercover cop, who is assigned to have a fake relationship with Abigail, in order to protect her. This is an intriguing story, which is filled with drama, mystery, suspense, and romance. I was intrigued and hooked throughout, and recommend this author for all readers!

    I do love a story where the characters find love in the most unexpected of places - and people. Chase the Knight is one of those stories.

    Both Abi & Alex are reluctant to like each other as their time together to protect Abi at her upcoming birthday party is just part of Alex's job doing undercover police work, and their "relationship" will be over before it even starts. But you can sense the magnetic chemistry between them as soon as they are introduced.

    Their "relationship" develops quickly and you can tell they are going to get it on sooner or later, and when they do, well, it is some seriously hot stuff written by Nicola and I wanted more!

    Abi's party throws a spanner in the works which is where the drama of the story really starts - I would have liked a bit more of that though as I felt at points it was a little rushed and would have liked a little more detail.

    The novella has a HEA though and overall I really enjoyed the storyline, 4* from me. I look forward to reading more of Nicola's work.

    Chase The Knight is the first Nicola C. Priest I have read and I loved it. It was a quick read and the storyline flowed really well.

    Alex is an undercover cop who had been appointed the task of protecting Abigail Knight. With just 2 days until her 21st birthday party, Abi and Alex must learn enough about each other to pull off the act of them being a "couple" so people don't think any suspicious.

    A wonderful read and I look forward to reading more from Nicola C. Priest.

    A speedy ~2 hour read, just right for a Sunday evening. It opens with Abi ruminating about her poor choices in men, some dodgy photos and a broken phone. Fast forward 3 years and heading to her 21st birthday, daddy has made a few business mistakes and feels his daughter will be the point his associates will try to gain revenge. His solution to this issue is to employ a police bodyguard in the shape of Sgt Alex, who is not only hot but he needs to pose at her birthday bash 2 days hence!!

    These two sizzle the pages from the get go, there is more to know and more to learn with their relationship. Sleazy photographer mentioned earlier decides he needs a top up on his bank account and decides to kidnap Abi using her father at the bait.

    Alex and arrives to the rescue after following cryptic clues regarding pictures.

    An enjoyable sunday afternoon read.
