It all starts when on a Sunday night, 7 year old Chinky remembers that she forgot about a school project which is supposed to be submitted on Monday. She calls her best friend Pinky and they rush down, without letting their moms know, to plan something. On the way they meet a mysterious figure and that's when the trouble begins... The author gave me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I was drawn into reading this book because the title was cute and I wanted a break from the serious books I had been reading. I hoped for something that would put a smile on my face. This books disappointed me because it didn't meet my expectations. There was no part of it that made me smile at all.

There were positive points to the book though. The pace of the story and sense of suspense kept me reading it. There was an important moral in the story which might be difficult for parents to teach young children without the book. The book puts a serious point on a child's level.

If the story had a little more fun in it, I would give it 5 stars.

This story was very entertaining. It starts out where 2 young girls Chinky and Pinky are stressed over missing an assignment. When they go out in the middle of the night to find supplies for their project, things take an unexpected turn. I found the twist very interesting as the girls are transformed into birds by an evil scientist, who is down on his luck and in need of money (so he resorts to kidnapping and changing kids into birds for sale). Overall, the book was delightful read, which really captures the innocence of children. A good cautionary tale about why you shouldn't take candy from strangers.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. This short story is cute and follows the adventures (or misadventures) of Chinky and Pinky who have both forgotten to complete their school project due the following day. There is a dash of horror to make you keep reading and hoping the two children make it through the night.

This was a very short book. It can be read in less than an hour, even by a slow reader. However, the book reads quite clearly and the pace is fast, so that also makes it read faster. There were a couple problems with the English. The book was somewhat enjoyable.
