- Reviewed in the United States on November 12, 2018Without a doubt the Liquid Cool series is my favorite detective series and Austin Dragon is one of my very favorite authors! This latest book does not disappoint, Cruz is back with his crew, his classic red pony hover car and his high tech weapons to take on yet another set of bad guys, cyborgs with even more high tech crazy weapons, determined to take over his beloved city! There's plenty of action, adventure, humor and twists & turns that keep you turning the page till the end! So join the fun and grab your copy!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 12, 2018Classic Cyborg is a book set in the Liquid Cool series. This can be read as a standalone, but reading previous books in the series gives an understanding of the setting and Cruz. There is a lot of violence. This is a classic Cruz move. He takes what seems to be a "normal" case and it spirals out of control. He finds himself in difficult situations and facing impossible odds of survival. This is a definite read if you are a Liquid Cool fan.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2018Liquid Cool is where you turn when you have a problem. In Classic Cyborg you will meet an ex-gangster with a missing child. The investigation enters the world of some really cool cyborgs with additional armaments that are not strictly legal. I voluntarily am reviewing an ARC of this book. A terrific and enjoyable book to spend some time with.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 22, 2018I've been a fan of the Liquid Cool series since book one, and each volume just gets better. Austin Dragon delivers just the right combination of noir/ scifi/Raymond Chandler seasoned with just a dash of snarky rhetoric that reminds me of Nick and Nora or "His girl friday." What's next?
- Reviewed in the United States on November 12, 2018I really have enjoyed this series of action packed books. Cruz has been a great hero. I thought that he might have changed now that he had a kid, but I was wrong. He just got smarter. I highly recommend this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 22, 2018Another great installment of Liquid Cool. The Private Investigator that’s a cross between Rockford Files, Magnum PI & Mickey Spillane’s Mike Hammer. Not anyone of them, but a true merging of all those characters into a tough suave investigator looking to make a difference. The rogue suave of Rockford, the clean cut humorous nature of Magnum, & the outright hard edged toughness of Mike Hammer, all merged into one character on futuristic earth. Really fun stuff pure modern Syfy pulp fiction, or, rather, digital fiction if you’re on kindle.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 30, 2019Cyborgs and detectives and criminals and post -something worlds - the plot was mostly good and the writing supple - liked that the PI had a family life - enjoyed the flow
- Reviewed in the United States on October 31, 2018Not bad, but the hero sure knows how to out-smart everyone. I found that a bit strange. If you are into future tech and cyborgs, this one is for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another wonderfull ride provided by Austin Dragon and his Liquid Cool series
As I mentioned earlier the very first book of the Liquid Cool series got me hooked and I am always looking foreward to the next adventure. Again it was a cool adventure in a now known to me universe. Quite early I thought I know what the final plot might be, but then was happily surprised how it actually turned out. Thank you for that twist, Austin Dragon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth TEN stars
I’m a big fan of Austin’s talented writing and great imagination, this book is another one showcasing his talent. I found it very hard to put down to sleep and eat and thought about it when I wasn’t reading it. The plot, the characters , the storyline are terrific. If you’d like to immerse yourself in a different version of this world that is full of action, diversity in a truly eclectic way and set at a fast pace this book will not disappoint, only thrill.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not Will Smith
I'm not sure if the cover artist intended to channel Will Smith, but I'm happy to say that he isn't in the book. Not that I don't like Will, but it would have just been wrong.
Not the ending I expected, or at least not the way I expected it to end. I did enjoy this story as much as I've enjoyed the other Liquid Cool books, even though this one was telegraphed a bit more that the others. Some parts are a little too predictable, and with less humour than previously. Overall a more serious book, more thoughtful perhaps in its comparison of human and cyborg. I confess I was privately pleased at the recognition of cyber-psychosis and a acknowledgement that not everybody is suited to replacement technology, or at least, that there is a price. Like I said, a more thoughtful, serious book, but don't fret there still some classic humour in there. Cruz is still Cruz, but he's almost incidental to the book, just a reluctant protagonist rather than the driving force. A little more introspection for Cruz as well, which was interesting, it's nice to see the author head in that direction and give us a little bit of what makes Cruz tick.
As ever with Liquid Cool, lots of action and some cool moments that might look good on the big screen, should anyone ever take it there. With luck there are more Cruz adventures to entertain us in the future. It will be a sad day indeed when he finally hangs up his fedora.
If you have even remotely enjoyed the previous books, I would recommend this one, even with the high tech and cyber-monsters there's a story here that is more than just metal and chrome.

5.0 out of 5 stars Crazy exciting read!
“Crazy maniacs—criminals and clients alike—from all walks of life, all kinds of neighborhoods.”
“Metropolis was an unwieldy monolith of a supercity, the largest and most powerful supercity on Earth, and where Cruz, generalist detective gets himself tangled in all sorts of impressive and impossible situations, Hell diving persecutions, riddled with unlikely Cyborg characters, twisted and hair raising moments, unexpected turns, with a heavy dose of fun witty and sarcastic dialogue, a touch of humour in an otherwise hard and grey world where it never stops raining. The universe build is exquisite, finery in details, social customs, arquitecture, tech applied, as well as thought provoking situations. The tech and society may have advanced, but humankind remains unchanged, the life long struggle to survive, to dominate, subjugate..The Liquid Cool series and its side story series like this book are excitingly captivating, engrossing and so immersive. It’s a hard to put down read! Looking forward to more stories from Cruz’s files! A definite recommendation! I am voluntarily leaving a review with no obligation of an advance copy I received from the author.
