Close Quarters (PLAYERS OF MARYCLIFF UNIVERSITY Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 538 ratings

She’s strictly off limits

Chris has wanted Megan all summer. And while they’ve flirted, nothing’s ever come of it.

Now she’s living in his house. Her sass and pinup curves right under his nose 24/7.

He doesn’t do relationships, though. And while a hookup might feel good, it’s not worth ruining a good roommate situation. Not in the middle of the football season. He doesn’t have time for that kind of distraction.

But no one else appeals to him as long as she’s around. And the way she responds to him is intoxicating. When he finally gets a taste, he knows once won’t be enough.

But will she give him a chance despite his reputation? Or will she go running for the hills?

If you love sexy football players, feisty heroines, and the fun that comes with roommate romances, get Close Quarters today!

Convenient Fall (Players of Marycliff University Book 2)
    By: Jerica MacMillan
    5 out of 5 stars

The story Convenient Fall (Players of Marycliff University Book 2) by Jerica MacMillan is a new adult/sports/romance book. What an amazing second book in the Players of Marycliff University series. I have already read three of the books in this series and am hooked. This story pulled me in and I didn’t want to put it down until I was done. The author has done an amazing job of writing a book and series with wonderful story lines and creating characters that are unforgettable. Megan Davidson and Chris Watkins are the main characters in this book. From the first time they met there was something there between them. That attraction is only getting stronger. That they are now roommates only complicates the issue. Even though they try to resist Megan and Chris can’t deny how they feel. They become lovers and the chemistry between them is red hot. The one thing I love most about this book is the characters. Megan is an independent woman. She has always provided for herself and anything she does is on her own. She also helps others by tutoring them. Chris is the ultimate player. He doesn’t do cuddling, dates, or relationships, that is until he meets Megan. He now finds himself in unchartered waters and having to learn as he goes. This book is filled with plenty of flirting, bantering back and forth between the characters, and drama. Chris and Megan also have some amazing friends who are there for them to hang out with and provide advice when it is needed. I was so happy they were part of the story. Megan is a character that I can really empathize with. She has fears and doubts that she is trying to overcome both in her relationship with Chris and the life she is trying to carve out for herself. What does the future hold for this couple? With the connection that these two have there should be nothing that stands in the way of their happiness, right? Read this book to find out if Megan and Chris get their happy ending. This story does have adult situations which include some very steamy love scenes. It would be recommended for those 18 years of age or older.

I really enjoyed this story....roomies with benefits is always fun to read but this is just written so well. Chris was a good guy and I liked how he went for what he wanted. Megan was a sassy little thing and I want to be her. This is steamy amd I liked how realistic it was...football player struggling to figure out future, family issues, insecurities raised. Overall a really good story.

Jerica MacMillan is quickly becoming the go-to author for sweet and sexy romance. Convenient Fall, a standalone, is the second book in her well-written series about college kids at Marycliff University. You don’t need to read the first, Summer Fling, but I’d recommend it, just because it’s a thumping good read and sets this one up nicely. (You can wave hi to Lance and Abby, because you’ll recognize them here.)
Megan’s an artist and moves in with two guys—Matt and Chris, football players and uh, players in general. Chris especially. It would be a very, very bad idea for Megan to get together with Chris, her roommate. But then maybe she does it anyway.

And then maybe that bad idea turns into something more.

I kind of don’t want to say more, because I don’t want to give away the plot, but know that it has the push-pull tug of all good romances—will they get together? And after they do get together, will they stay together? Is it true love?

Super sexy scenes, graceful writing, and a few moments of aw-yeah, this is a crowd-pleasing, fun read. I definitely recommend!

I loved this story! Hoping to read the bonus soon. Felt sorry for Megan about her parents but Chris parents definitely made up for lacking parents. Chris & Megan will last just like Lance & Abby now I'll be waiting for Matt's story!

Convenient Fall by Jerica MacMillan is the second book in the Players of Marycliff University series. Again written in third person, we follow Megan’s story as she finds herself living with two new roommates; football players Chris and Matt. As you can imagine, this set-up causes all sorts of problems, including a forbidden relationship!

We first met Megan in Summer Fling, as she is Abby’s best friend and roommate. A complete opposite to Abby, Megan loves to party, so I knew we were in for a dramatic read. Right from the beginning we’re thrown into things when we see what Megan gets up to while she parties; and what a hangover she’s left with! In part, this is down to Chris and his mysterious behaviour. A stereotypical football player, Chris knows what he wants and that’s Megan. But voice of reason Matt warns him off, knowing the trouble it could cause if Chris hurt her. This confusion leads to a lot of miscommunication, which in turn makes for some fun, yet infuriating, reading!

Like the other books in this series, Convenient Fall has the perfect balance of laughter, heartbreak and serious issues. The author isn’t afraid to shy away from sensitive or difficult topics and she writes them with great care and respect. Megan has more than her fair share of a troubled past, so reading about it wasn’t easy. Behind the tough exterior she puts on, she is just like any other girl when it comes to insecurities and worries. I loved seeing the relationships between herself, Matt and Chris grow, especially because of how things ended up; no spoilers here!

Overall, this is another great instalment. The author has managed to create an entire world at Marycliff and for this, I would like to congratulate her. It was great to briefly see characters we had met in the first book and I look forward to seeing Megan and co. in the future instalments!

Chris n Megan had a good time over summer,Flirting rather nicely but they never went that far. Until being together was the better choice, then things got serious without them realising it n after a upsetting moment n things getting messy before their happiness was together n things only got better from there.
