Condition Evolution : A LitRPG / Game-lit Adventure Kindle Edition
Does your life suck? Need a helping hand?
As Shaun’s life continues its downward spiral, he is offered the chance to escape into an epic game world. One with the power to repair his mind and body while he lives out his wildest dreams. What could possibly go wrong?
It turns out, fighting monsters and obesity is tough wherever you are! Then there’s the unrequited love. Weren’t the women supposed to fall head over heels with the hero? Not in Anatoli, a brutal and unforgiving land on the brink of apocalypse.
If Shaun can survive this all too real experience, he might just get to be a hero back in the real world…
Note: This book 1 of the fast-paced genre hopping LitRPG series, Condition Evolution. Be warned! It contains lots of profanity, dark humor, and gratuitous violence. Buckle in. It’s going to be wild!

About the author

I’m a full-time, British Indie Author publishing fantasy, sci-fi and post-apocalyptic novels within the LitRPG/GameLIT genre.
Born and bred in the North East of England I live with my wife, our four children. It’s a stone’s throw from the rugged coastline of the North Sea and a place full of history, from Pagan stone circles to Roman forts that feed the imagination. We have three dogs all outrageously different in size, from an old giant Newfy to a miniature Yorkie and some sort of mysterious hybrid in between.
My debut series Condition Evolution spans seven novels, crossing LitRPG genres from in-game fantasy to real world space opera, like a penguin goes from land to water.
My second series is a gritty, Litrpg Apocalypse series, The Cesmial Accords, bringing time-travel, superhuman powers and waves of vicious monsters to Earth in a battle for survival.
Then there is the Creation's Bane series. A portal fantasy series that pits an angry chef against a world full of demons and gods.

I was not expecting such an original story line! Thank you Tao Wong for this recommendation! I completely agree with you! And I was totally not expecting the end of book one lol...so yes Shaun! I want more! Lol
- Reviewed in the United States on September 27, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseWhile the book is short and a bit simplistic it has a decent story and I'm hopeing it gets better in the next book, the humor was the best for me even if the love story was overly simple and sappy. Anyway sounds like a bad review but I did like it and want to read more.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis was such a great book, I absolutely loved it! If you find yourself between titles or need a break from a slow series, then this is the book for you!
This is a refreshingly fast paced story with surprisingly great character development. You don’t usually get both of these together. It may be a little light on world building but I feel like it makes up for it with the character development arch.
You get the sense that the elements of the story and mechanics of the game world are there to support the story rather than driving it as we usually see in a lot of LitRPG lately. This book was definitely worth the read and I look forward to finishing this review so I can start the second book!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 28, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseGood guy mc. I don't think he's an idiot though. Just not a great planner. Has one of the best ways I've ever seen to power level the mc without the normal magic wand method. I would have liked to see a little more fleshing out of the female mc, but as it stays solely with the mc first person it is hard to do. Reads fast and smooth. Not a shallow read like a lot of the harem stories, but doesn't wade too deep either.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI agree with other comments that the start of the book was dull, and could use a bit more character development. I found interesting the low drama on some scenes. That is, defeating the bad guys is not a holy crusade ordeal like other novels -- they just go there and eliminate the bad guy, and life's good.
I've read this book after the second got released and read both back to back. It was an ok light read with an interesting plot. That was mostly due to it being essentialy Star Wars.
One thing that bothered me, though, was that it seems the author didn't know which measurement system they wanted to use. At one point it was imperial (pounds), the other metric (kg). Perhaps a bit more editing ought to fix those issues.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2022Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI'm only giving it a 4 star review due to the language. The insults seemed forced and out of character. Even worse, uninspired. The banter between our main characters was quite enjoyable.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 18, 2021Format: KindleVerified PurchaseLet me start by saying I'm all in after book 1. That being said book 1 covers a lot of ground. It starts by being your typical stuck in a game LitRPG. Where you end up is completely different. I don't really know what to expect for Book 2. That being said I love Shawn and Ember as characters. They have that whole Love/Hate thing going on with each other and it works well. The adventure they go on is fun and by the end you kinda get the feeling that things are getting maxed out. Then a major curveball comes. Give this one a shot.
Also, I want to go to VRMMO Fat Camp now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Friendship Formula
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseSurprisingly addictive… ended up reading the story in one sitting. A little confusing to start, for one MC as well, then a time jump, made me question my commitment to reading the book. However from there on, it was full of action, adventure, humour, snark and some serious talks, where the MC’s discuss some delicate RL situations. All up a really good book about finding a friend in the unlikeliest of places, and learning how to keep them. I think it’s well written, with intense characters and a expansive game world, and an awesome twist!

4.0 out of 5 stars Weird joke ending, but good story up until then.
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseWhile it was a bit odd for the book to have a joke ending, the story up until then was rather good.
Worth the read as a standalone story. It does wrap up nicely at the end of the 'in-game' storyline.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing LitRPG!
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis is an awesome LitRPG story with fun characters and banter. I highly recommend it to anyone! The ending was unexpected, but made the story even better. Can't wait to read the next one.
