Full content visible, double tap to read brief content.

Rose has read her way through countless romances over the years, “borrowing” them from her older sisters, and hiding them from her mother (Mom didn't like the sexy book covers!)

She has a special love for Regency romances and when she began writing, the Regency period was a natural place to start. The ton, the wealthy families, the Season, the dilemmas, and yes, the marriages, have always fascinated her. She loves a happy ever after! Now she is happy to bring this passion to her stories and share it with her readers.

On a personal note, Rose lives in North Carolina, is married, and has a terrier that barks too much. She enjoys taking him for walks to tire him out!

These six books were a delightful addition to my Thanksgiving prep days this year. Filled with very interesting, complex heroes and heroines, the plots lead from one story to the next in small degrees, though they can easily be read alone, each filled with joys and difficulties much like life.
Settle in and soak in this wonderfully written set of novels.

I had a very roundabout journey with this book. I first borrowed it on Kindle Unlimited, read three out of six stories, and returned it because I found the plots repetitive or predictable and the characters, especially the men, hard to like.

A whole month later, I borrowed the book again and finished the remaining stories. The last two stories were such a delight! If only I didn’t have to persevere through four mediocre stories to get to the two actual good ones.

If you don’t want to waste your time, do skip to the last two stories. They are the truly good ones.

In other news, I don’t know what’s up with Lady Newfield being a fairy godmother of sorts in every single story. It was frankly ridiculous. I was throwing up my hands in frustration when she showed up in the last two. Of all the characters to weave through the story, a matron with next to no character development of her own is most definitely an odd choice.

Four out of five stars because the book made me suffer the first four stories to get to the gems that are the last two.

Enjoyed reading these six stories. Easy to read but due to some editing mistakes, can sometimes be a bit confusing. Some of the names are switched. Recommend author or editor fix. Otherwise I look forward to reading more books by this author.

All the stories in this collection were an enjoyable read. The storylines weren't all focused on stunningly beautiful people. Moral characters were highly valued and the main individuals were relatable.

A really great Regency series by one of my favorite authors. I read these books individually the first time but enjoyed them again in the boxes set. Rose Pearson is my go to Regency author

I bought this collection because Rose Pearson is one of my favorite authors but they appealed to me less, perhaps because I expected more. One had an orphan who was taken to live with her uncle but sent to live in a paid orphanage then aged out. Only to find a plot awaited her.
The second was better but still not a favorite. I still recommend her novels so read reviews and select for your first a novel that appeals most to your tastes. Editing and writing style are always top notch!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Box Set!
Reviewed in Australia on March 1, 2021
I have already read these wonderful stories as single books, but couldn’t resist buying the box set as they are just that well-written. This is a box set you do not want to miss.

A Broken Betrothal: Delightful Storyline! Lord Leicestershire and Lady Augusta did not make a good impression on the other when they first met. Circumstances and pride kept them from seeing the true person under the ‘ton’ glamour. When a third party is determined to ruin Lord Leicestershire’s reputation, can Lady Augusta warn him in time? Will he finally see her for the wonderful person that she truly is? The characters in this book are well-developed and each has a strong personality.

In Search of Love: Enchanting Regency tale. When Juliana and Lord Altringham are forced to marry, Juliana is sent off to his country home whilst he returns to London. Juliana’s grandmother persuades her to return to London and confront her husband, but when they meet again, he doesn’t recognize her. What ensues next makes for an interesting romp! Lord Altringham is an extremely prideful, pompous rake, but has he finally met his match?

Wed in Disgrace: Delilah has had a lot of sorrow in her life, now she must strengthen her mindset, in order to cope with her uncle’s plans for her marriage. Timothy, Lord Coventry, has been ostracized by most of the ton and has arranged for a marriage of convenience for the purpose of gaining an heir. The trials these two must go through to gain their happy ever after, makes for a wonderful afternoon read.

Betrayal and Lies: Delightful Regency tale of arranged marriage vs a love match. This well-written storyline with its scintillating characters, kept my interest from start to finish. Richard and Christina have been acquainted for over twelve months. This Season, they have become more attracted to each other, however true love never does run smoothly. As a debt of honor threatens to keep them apart forever, will they succeed in finding a solution to their dilemma?

A Past to Forget: Sweet Regency romance, with a touch of blackmail thrown in for good measure. Leonard and Ellen are a great couple, who invite you to travel with them through their trials and tribulations. The secondary characters, both good and evil, were thoroughly well researched. I loved the final confrontation with the blackmailer. So poignant!

Engaged to a Friend: Enjoyable Regency romp that takes your hand and leads you through the ups and downs faced by this marvelous couple. Oliver and Tabitha have been friends for several London Seasons, which is unheard of by the Ton. It takes a couple of shocks for this pair to realise what their heart has known for so long. I wanted to shake Oliver a couple of times, for his attitude towards Tabitha but I loved the ending.

2.0 out of 5 stars Regency it ain't!
Reviewed in Australia on June 14, 2021
To write a Regency romance takes knowledge of the language, the fashions, the taboos, the expectations, and above all the manners of the period. If you don't want to be bothered with all that, you finish up with a book like this one.
We start with a thoroughly modern "girls just wanna have fun" teenager who is determined to get her own way regardless of convention and sets out to insult her suitor. He, unsurprisingly, is terminally miffed and retires. Then he comes into some money and behaves like a pop star who thinks the good times go on forever. The sub-plot that brings the two together is unbelievable in both Regency terms and modern terms.
I shall not be reading the rest of the series.

The awkward, unsophisticated writing, matched with stilted dialogue, make these books not only jarring to read but ruin the enjoyment of what is an otherwise interesting story.

2.0 out of 5 stars Interesting storylines let down by historical inaccuracies.

Concerned that the etiquette of the era was, in many situations, ignored. Young ladies would not have approached gentlemen but have waited to be introduced by parents/guardians or doyens of society.
