    I enjoy the writing of this Author although I wasn’t sure I would like this book when I read the blurb but it surprised me how much it hooked me when I starting reading.Loved all the mystery and the banter between the characters especially the main two and apart from the mums who I felt could do with a slap so it shows how the writer proclaimed them.
    It had all I liked in a book mystery ........ wont give the game away and love of course.
    The only criticism is I would of like a bit more on the part were the author touch on dead bodies which left me a bit confused as it didn’t say although maybe cause no one knew.

Cordelia, the only daughter of age, becomes the hapless pawn in a sordid contract calling for her speedy marriage to a widower of dubious honesty whose repulsive aspect and lecherous ways are ignored by his joyless, domineering mother, reigning over their Gothic mansion. The characters come across as one-sided, and interplay is often predictable.
