    First off, I have to say that I really liked the cover of this book. It is a hot cowboy in the front but I felt like it had more...just the way he's holding her speaks to me.

    What I enjoyed out of this book the most was out of misery and sadness something grew. Two individuals who shouldn't be anything more than boss and assistant grew into something more.

    Kizzy was a woman you just have to admire. She is smart, talented and level headed. There were many times the KC would mention that he doesn't know what he would do without her and I believed it. She kept his company running while he was dealing with his personal stuff. She reads people really well and that help a couple times in the book

    KC is a man who knows who he is and what he wants. He is a very successful business man and an amazing cowboy. He just doesn't see how he can be both. I loved that Kizzy was able to see KC in a more human way while on the ranch.

    Not that either of them would have wanted KC father to die but I feel like both of them having to come to the ranch reminded them of who they are and what they want out of life. Both were running from things but making them come back and face these issues head on helped both of them.

    Although reading the other Dalton Boys Books gives more background, this is a stand-alone romance. All of them are short and hot, but this has the added spice of a little suspense and intrique.
    The last single Dalton, Kizzy has left the cowgirl life for a corporate job in Houston. She's an excellent assistant, finds ways to entertain herself in long lines and commutes and is adjusting well to the new life she has chosen.
    KC has reinvented himself from the ground up. Leaving his daddy's ranch, he's made his own empire and thinks he's doing just fine.
    Tragedy strikes, forcing him to go home. Kizzy accompanies him as he returns to the ranch he grew up on. As events unfold around them, their mutual attraction begins to deepen.
    Can Kizzy help her boss see his love for the family land? Can KC help Kizzy express her growing feelings, even as he realizes he wants a more permanent place in her life?
    All in all, I enjoyed this story the most, although the whole series is primarily 5 star, with a couple of 4 stars. Em never fails to deliver, and this is a good example.

    Dalton family series is based on love of family, which is what America was built on. I have enjoyed each book tremendously; however, I do feel that the explicit love scenes are too frequent. I may be of a much older generation, but I do feel that the stories can stand on their strength without as many of them. I don’t mind them as such - just not that many. Great job, ‘Em!!

    I think this is my favorite of the bunch (of course I’ve said the same while reading others in the series). Kezziah aka Kizzy Dalton takes a job as the assistant to billionaire mortgage tycoon KC Cohen and moves to Houston. When his father dies she finds out KC is Knox Channing son of the man who owned the famous horse ranch. The two end up at the ranch and feelings grow as she discovers the hunky savvy businessman is also a cowboy. She also finds she misses the ranch life. This iBook is emotional, funny, and steamy.     Cowboy and cowgirl at heart. Both try to leave for the big city on their own. In the end, you can take the cowboy or cowgirl out if the ranch, but you cant take the ranch out of them.
