    Another great read from an author who has quickly become one of my "go to" authors. This is book 2 in the redemption series. We met both characters in book 1 and we knew that Poppy was smitten with Jace but Jace was guarded and determined not to fall. He had a very hard life and was not going down or bringing someone down that rabbit hole with him. That is until fate stepped in and forced his hand. He asked the one person who had become more then a friend to but would only admit to be friends with to help him out in a very big way. As time went on, Poppy slowly chipped away at his barriers as well as her own and they discovered a new normal for them. Everything was perfect for them until Jace's parents from beyond hell decided to payback their son for uncovering their dirty dealings and exposing them by taking what mattered most to him Poppy! The journey from their discovery that this was not fake to the jaw dropping way that Jace tried to protect Poppy from his parents which ended up hurting more then anything to the ending. It is a journey of discovery, trust, broken trust and rediscovery. The only downside to this is I would loved to have read a little more about how his parents got theirs we saw Ben get his peace of mind in but I would love to have read Jace & Farah lashing. Cannot wait for book 3.

    I am a sucker for a good “fake marriage” or marriage of convenience. This one came with a side of suspense at the end. Jase and Poppy both had some major baggage. Jase had abusive parents who spent his whole life manipulating him and Poppy had feelings of not being enough because her dad and her ex both just walked out on her. Jase and Poppy were both attracted to each other. For Jase, Poppy was always honest and real with him, she never played games. And for Poppy, Jase was someone who just pulled her in, even when she tried to guard against him. Jase proposes they get married so he can take over his family’s company, after exposing his dad’s misdeeds, the board ordered him to be married before he could become CEO. He offers to help Poppy with some bills for her Inn in exchange. Their relationship quickly evolves and Poppy and Jase fall for each other. I really related to Poppy, she was so shy and unsure, but when push came to shove, she had enough fire to stand up for herself and those she loves. I really felt for Jase, especially when Bennet told Poppy the whole truth of his childhood. This was a great read and it set up the next book in the series with glimpses of the relationship between Shane and Jensen and I cannot wait!

    Another enjoyable read from one of my go to authors. Jessica’s second book in this series was a perfect amount of suspense and romance combined.

    Poppy never thought she’d open her heart again but keeping it closed off was virtually impossible with a man like Jade. The attraction between our leads is sizzling.

    Jase thought he was finally free of his parents. Hoping they’d stay gone after he destroyed them was never going to happen. Especially with parents like these two.

    When his new found independence is put on lockdown by the board he has no choice but to find a wife and quickly. Poppy his sisters friend is the perfect choice. He likes her, he trusts her he just needs to keep his attraction to her on the back burner.

    But these two have no chance of denying the inevitable. They are like kindling waiting for the spark to set it alight.

    Just when it looks like these two will get a happily ever after they nearly lose it all through hatred and vengeance.

    Another book hangover but one I was happy to have.

    A huge yes from me.

The only love he felt was for his sister and “father figure” Ben. With 2 broken people, could they find happiness?

    Their relationship starts with a fake engagement into fake marriage. But it quickly turns real as their chemistry is hard to hold back.

    I really liked Poppy, she overcame so much and I could relate to her character. I felt for her throughout the book and thought she was a strong heroine. Jase I did have issues with, but true to his bad childhood, I kind of understood where he was coming from. How he didn’t believe in “happy ever after”, but I really wish he did.

    Not a bad second of the series. I did enjoy the characters and connected with them. I look forward to more from Redemption.
