- Reviewed in the United States on September 18, 2023This is another novella with regards to the holocaust, the persecution of the Jews and World War II. In such a short book life is displayed in all its glory in a haunting way. it’s all about remembering Who we are, where we come from the things we carry in our hearts.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 15, 2014Make sure you have a box of tissues if you're sensitive to this era. I know I am. It explores the dynamic conflict of a Jewish orphan being taken in by a family that has close ties to the upper echelon of the Nazi Party, loves her, but has no idea that she is Jewish. It highlights the theme, that we're all the same, and were it not for all the brainwashing of people, things like this never would have happened. We allowed it to. Those who can be made to believe in absurdities are also the ones who can be made to commit atrocities.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2013Really loved this story. Very well written and very engaging. If you enjoy stories about the Holocaust, you will seriously enjoy this bitter sweet story. Really enjoyed it and looking forward to reading more from this Author. I believe a sign of a good book is one where you are sucked right into the pages and walk the journey with the characters, and this is exactly what happened for me.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 7, 2014I need more! Not because the story was lacking, but because I was transported into the world of the characters and desperately feel the need to continue a journey with them. This story sucks you in right from the first page, and never lets you go. Keep your eyes open for any other work this wonderful author does - you won't be disappointed!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 8, 2014Although this is a short story, it doesn't fail to give you a full adventure. Poignant and touching, this story touched my heart. I hope this author keeps writing more tales like this for us to enjoy!
