About the author

I published my first novel in 2014; that was the first part of the Tales of a Modern Woman trilogy where I uncover the motivations and actions of a young woman searching for her place in the world. In Search of My Perfect Life is a novel about a modern woman born with an expectation of equality. Faking It is a romantic suspense novel about industrial espionage set in London and Surrey.
My novellas focus on life throwing a curve ball. Walking Back Toward Myself tells the story of Christina, who rediscovers her true self when her job, home and marriage crumble beneath her. Like Father, Like Son is a romantic intrigue and explores the effect of Cupid playing tricks on people who are already hiding secrets from their partners. The Secret of Contentment is a romantic intrigue that explores the reverberations and revelations that ripple into many people's lives when a secret is uncovered.
My latest book is a contemporary novella with a supernatural twist called Son of the Furrows.
I have also written Crumbs from the Bread of Life - a collection of short stories and poetry - and The Sisterhood Illusion - a play that throws the spotlight on how women both support and use each other in the guise of friendship.
Be it saga or suspense, crime or family drama, I'm a sucker for a love story and you'll find someone in my books will always have a happy ending.

5.0 out of 5 stars After dinner treat
I enjoyed picking up this book in a free moment and read one of the stories from the great variety. Rather like picking chocolates from a selection box and it is not fattening. Shall wish to read more books by Jane Sleight.

I loved this from the word go. Every woman if a certain age remembers David Essex! Contains something for everyone from poems to short stories.
