4.2 out of 5 stars 469 ratings

Twenty years before Serpint brought Queen Corla home to Harem Station she met Crux for the very first time. They were destined to be soul mates but could never be together. All they had was just one night.

This is the story of Crux and Corla and how all the outlaw brothers came to reside on Harem Station. Meant to be read after Booty Hunter and before Big Dicker it contains a star-crossed love story and secrets that are as deep and dark as space itself.

Great answer to the Booty Hunter beginning!!

Great answer to the Booty Hunter beginning!!
*** Star Crossed is book two in the Harem Station series and should be read after Booty Hunter to avoid spoilers *** When Crux meets Queen Corla, life as he knows it is about to be changed forever... At 16 years old, the 7th daughter of Cygnian King and the son of Wayward station governor are about to be paired up... but when Crux learns just what all the pomp and circumstance is for, he and Corla need to concoct a plan to save everyone Crux cares about... and fast. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Star Crossed was the fantastic answer to what happens before we meet the characters of the Harem Station series in book #1, Booty Hunter. From how Crux and Corla meet, to how the Harem Station began, this novella provides valuable insight and the backstory to book #3, which is the soon to be released book titled Big Dicker. This novella is a must read for those who have already been drawn into this fascinating Sci-Fi series, and builds even more upon the already intricate start of the world of the Cygnians and the Akeelians. I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.

Ok so Star Crossed Lovers Crux and Corla...You believe in Soul Mates?

This takes us to the beginning we will more understand what happened to bring our brothers to ALCOR on the first place. How in the world young boys stole a ship and ran from home...well they had no choice. They ALL had a message to get to ALCOR the one and great AI in the Galaxies....
Crux and Corla and how they learned about this thing called "Mating" as a kind of guest of honors. Confused yet? Great Character build up and wonderful world building with these crazy Double D Men and these powerful princess's that burst with light when they have well get all hot and bothered with their one and only soul mate, This was awesome follow up from Booty Hunter and prior to Big Dicker Both which should give you all the feels you know from our one and only JA Huss now bringing us her creative Sci Fi side as KC Kross!

I recommend you don't pass this one by!

Although Star Crossed is a prequel, the story of how Crux and Corla met and how the outlaw brothers ended up on Harem Station is told in multi-layered flashbacks from Crux's point of view. The story starts as he recounts the escape from Wayward Station, the brothers' original home. During that story, he steps back a bit to tell us how he came to meet Corla and why she's in a cryopod now. The story ends with a fast forward to the "present" day, some time after the events in the first book, Booty Hunter, and leaves us with a huge bomb of a cliffhanger! Can't wait to find out what happens next!! So much information condensed into this short story. A definite must-read AFTER Booty Hunter!

You must read the stories in order as I found out. I read this one without reading any of the other books 📚 and it has confused me slightly. Even though it was interesting and intriguing, I still became slightly confused. So please read the series in order.

I seriously cannot recommend this series enough. Personally I don’t think the covers or titles do them justice in providing you the knowledge that this series is SO EFFING GOOD. Star Crossed is a short novella to be read after Booty Hunter and gives the history alternating between chapters of when Crux meets Corla for the first time and their single night together and when Crux and the boys first meet ALCOR after escaping their home planet. What was shaping up to be just a 3-3.5 star read for me just blew me out of the water at the ending. Definitely a 5 star read by the shear force of that surprise ending. Even if you feel lukewarm about instalove and fated mates the complex plot more than makes up for it. So much more was revealed in this book that we didn’t know in Booty, I cannot even guess where the rest of the series will take me.

Star Crossed by JA Huss writing as KC Cross takes you back to the beginning and provides more on Crux and Corla and how the station came to be. In true JA Huss fashion, we get many answers and just as many questions and build on the world around the Harem Station.

    Happy reading!

Although this is not my favorite couple it's nice to have some extra information about the whole "made for each other" thing that's going on. Crux is definetly the most expierenced Guy around on that subject. Still alot of question about it, but we probably het answers in the upcoming books, so I'll wait for that.

Well who knew this author wrote sci-fi books. Wonderful short read explaining how the boys ended up where they did. Having read the first story in the series I’d wondered about certain aspects of their lives and this explains it all. Highly recommend.
