A fast, fun military story. Beau and Carrie find themselves stationed in Africa together. They start off by being running "buddies" every evening. They know that because of the no fraternization military rules that they can never be more than friends. Beau only has 6 years left before retirement but 6 years is a long time to keep your deepest innermost feelings for someone a secret. A good, interesting story that can be read in a short time!

Cat was done a great job with this story. The characters and setting of the story is amazingly written. Can't wait to read more about the characters. On to the next one.

Close quarters create tension between a couple who try to deny their attraction to each other. Fear of getting caught and discharged, one of them makes the decision that breaks both of their hearts. Love this book! If you like this one..read Cinderella Liberty!

I bought this book in the hopes that it was comparable to a similar book I had read called  Magnus , which was fabulous! They were both similar in the way of "forbidden military romance" themes. As it turns out, Magnus it ain't! This book was just ok. It falls into my "nothing wrong, but nothing great" about it category. It fell flat and bordered on boring in my opinion. I was hoping the H, Beau, would be a tough military alpha male, but he wasn't. IMO, the story had such promise but it just didn't deliver. One thing that did irritate me was that the book(kindle edition) ended at 87%....I expected to get much closer to 100% before the story was over. :( My final word, if you're looking for a book with excitement, strong characters and sizzling sexual chemistry between them, this is not your book!

This was a great story. The fact that it tells what our military men go through overseas just made it better. Love this authors books.

Cat Johnson has done it again! I've read many many books by her and each and everyone of them are great. She is one of my favorite authors and never fails to make me smile and wish that these characters were real. They are so yummy. Beau is all alpha male and seriously hot. He of course melts the Ice queens heart and what a great way to get their HEA.... Another job, Well Done.....

5.0 out of 5 stars A good example of this suthor's work!

Along with Cat's usual standard of involving romance, some really comic & I suspect authentic, moments that made me laugh out loud. I think she must have cornered the market in realistic military men, while her female heroines seem modern & intelligent.

Cat Johnson has a definite way with words and in this military book with Carrie and Beau she kept me intrigued from beginning to end. Carrie is a strong independent woman who has trouble bonding with the other females and Beau is strong yet sensitive and the two bond whilst exercising each day. I also love when there is a follow up book with one of the best friends, so off to read that now.

I was just thrilled and so excited to read another Military book by my favourite author, Cat Johnson. A romance between the Air Force and the Marine Military.

Such a sexy and sometimes erotic relationship between Tech Sergeant Carrie Anne Armstrong of the US Air Force and a Marine Staff Sergeant Beau Adams.

I thoroughly loved this exciting romance thriller. I just knew I wouldn't be able to put it down!
