About the Author

Her love for romance novels began when she was old enough to board the bus, library card in hand to check out the newest Harlequin paperbacks. She's a Canadian by heart, and by passport, but you can often spot her in New York City sipping a latte and looking for inspiration for her next story. Manhattan is definitely her second home.

She cherishes her family and believes that each day is a gift for writing, for reading, and for loving.

Less drama than other series by Deborah Blandon, but an enjoyable good read.

We met Rowan on her preview in Gone. Now on her own back story we get to read how Rowan and Caleb kept their true feelings for each other at bay for so long. She's strong, beautiful, kind, smart, independent and has harbored a secret crush (LOVE) for Caleb all her life. Caleb is handsome, smart and a womanizer with a delish foul mouth, doesn't think he knows how to love women, seems to only use them, but cones to finally realize that he's been in total denial. The friendship with Rowan he so desperately protects goes beyond just that. Their story of discovery and acceptance. After so many years they now find themselves at a crossroad between desire and a love that goes beyond their relationship.

Their story also evolved around family drama regarding Caleb older & younger brothers, Gabriel and Asher. So hoping we get to also know more about Asher's back story since Gabriel's seems to be in the works.

Before reading Chance, catch up on the prior series. All written independently but characters often do tie in nicely into other books, as some have in Chance.

    Ivy & Jax - Obsessed
    Lilly & Clive - Gone
    Libby & Alec - Solo
    Hunter & Sadie - Exposed
    Jessica & Nathan - Pulse
    Alexa & Noah - Vain
    Beck & Zoe - Fuse
    Kayla & Ben - Ruin
    Garret & Vanessa -Trace

    All EXCELLENT EXCELLENT reads. Enjoy!

I could tell within the first five minutes of reading this book that they were meant for one another. Best friends-ish turned lovers. It's usually a cut and dry story. Best friends fall in love something tragic breaks them apart but they find their way back to one another. This isn't the conventional story. They had so much baggage between them from the beginning any logical person would have said that their relationship would never progress to a more intimate one. I'm glad that Rowan had enough courage to tell Caleb what she really wanted because at the rate Caleb was going they never would've found their happiness. This was a great addition to Deborah's interwoven books. I just wished there was a little more to their story.

There isn't anything I love better than a Deborah Bladon story, short or long, series or stand alone there hasn't been one book of hers I did not love, and this one is no different.
You can read what the book is about so I won't start, I'll just tell you I like a good book with likeable characters, some romance, a good story that holds you to the book and add some good sex and you have me. Chance fills the bill for sure! It's a stand a.one story so there isn't any more parts to it, and even though the male characters are family to other characters in her other books you don't have to read them to enjoy or follow this one!
Here is my star and hotness rating 5 out of 5 aren't enough! 😊

Deborah does it again....this time the male character isn't all alpha and actually shows a lot of vulnerability that is really a bother at first but turns really sexy. Then there's Rowan, I wasn't too certain about her at first either but she is a strong, independent woman who can definitely hold her own and does. And the sex scenes oh boy, get out the fans and ice water because you'll need them! Very good scenes! I was able to read this in one afternoon/evening. It was a fast, easy read. Great job Ms Bladon! Aloha

Okay do NOT throw tomatoes at me. Before you get ticked off and click that "unhelpful" button just hear me out. I've read everything by Ms. Bladon; she's an autobuy author for me. Love love love her books. From her facebook posts I know she had a lot of family stuff going on while writing this so I'm thinking that may account for it not being up to the usual standards. The book was just so.....meh. Which is crazy coming from her. Any real drama didn't even take place with the main character but with his brother. I'm so used to her hitting me with SAY WHAAAAAAAAT??? moments and this didn't have any of that. Don't get me wrong, there was some slight angsty back and forth but nothing really all that dramatic. I actually liked the heroine; she straight up told Caleb uh, I wanna bang you too, let's do this instead of not saying a word. Nothing worse than books that drag on with faux angst when a simple conversation would clear up everything. I was also surprised that there was no dual POV; I would have liked to have gotten inside of Caleb's head for a bit. Lol and what's with his staff and housekeeper being big turds to people who come to see him and him not caring? Overall, a sweet book, just not the same punch as her others. I look forward to reading Gabriel's story, and I can't WAIT for the Ember series! <3

This author's mind astounds me. Her creativity and story telling are the things I can only dream of. Her talent in story telling and creating the characters are absolutely astounding. I have yet to read any of her books that are even remotely alike in plot, characters, or bases. I have yet to read about characters or circumstances that I haven't l enjoyed getting to know or fell in love with. Caleb and Rowan are no different. Their life long love for each other is every young girls fantasy come to life. Most definitely ENJOY this one.
