RUIN - The Complete Series: Part One, Part Two & Part Three Kindle Edition
RUIN - Part One
Sitting next to a stranger on a flight from Boston to New York City alters the entire course of Kayla Monroe's life. In her quest to escape the pain of rejection she jumps into the bed of an irresistible man who offers her a night that she'll never forget. Their connection is fierce and undeniable. When their paths cross again, a twist of fate brings her to the realization that the man she's using to mend her broken heart is Dr. Ben Foster, a compassionate and respected physician. Warnings about his past threaten Kayla's future. She knows she should believe the rumors, but the moments she spends in his arms, and in his bed, wash away any doubt in her mind. She sees a future with Ben but those closest to her won't let her forget that the man she's falling for has left a path of ruin in his wake that may impact her in a way she never saw coming.
RUIN - Part Two
Kayla Monroe had fallen hard and fast for Dr. Ben Foster. He was everything she needed and wanted after being dumped by the man she thought she loved. What started as a one night stand quickly turned into a blossoming relationship. Then the complications of his youth halt everything in its tracks. The voices around her are telling Kayla that Ben isn't the man she thinks he is but her heart is telling her something completely different. She's drawn to him like a moth to a flame and as she listens as he explains his past, she sees the promise of a future with him that she desperately wants. She's the thread that will weave a path for Ben back into the family he has lost. She senses it and as she takes on the task of releasing him from his burdens, she discovers that the man she has been sharing her bed with is, more complicated than she ever imagined. Just as Kayla is about to step into her future with Ben, she ends up in a place where she's forced to accept a truth that she never knew existed.
RUIN - Part Three
Kayla Monroe felt safe in the arms of Dr. Ben Foster. He was helping her move past a broken heart and she was guiding him towards a reclaimed relationship with the brother he'd lost years ago. Their bond was unique, strong and bordering on a love that would change them both forever. Then Kayla found herself thrust into the middle of a triangle she wanted no part of. She heard things that altered her reality completely. There's no one for her to rely on but herself and she has to decide whether a familiar voice from the past holds more weight than the promise of a future she can't quite grasp yet. Trusting her heart has never been easy for Kayla. Trusting others has never been easy for Ben. Together they have to determine whether the sins of the past are too much to bear or whether a connection that is undeniable is worth the risk.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 25, 2015Hmmm...Dr Ben-dreamy!
Loved the spark of interest into Ben and Kayla's relationship when I read Vain, which is Noah & Alexas story. Although we see that Ben relationship ended great with Noah, as with Kayla in the end of Vain, the reasons for the brothers troublesome & strained relationship were not told until now in Ruin.
And what a back story it is!!!!
Kayla and Ben meet on a return trio from Boston to NY, after Kayla's breakup with her boyfriend Parker. Heartbroken she has a one nite stand with Ben, which turn into more nites, not knowing of his connection with Noah. After Kayla has a minor accident, she realizes Ben is a successful doctor, and Noahs estranged twin. So by the end of book one we come to realize that Kayla and Ben really liked each other. Since she also has a strong friendship with Noah and,Alexa, she soon starts asking about what happened between them in hopes to reconnect the brothers before her best friends wedding. But we soon find out that the brothers definitely did not have your typical family squabble.... boy oh WOW!
What happened years earlier between Ben and Noah? What happened to the person Ben, Noah and their father Ron loved that caused such separation between them & Ben shunned from his only family? Ben wasn't guilty, but the pain and events of that dreadful day never left him and has hunted these two brothers far too long. How did their relationship mend?
By end of book two there was another shocker!!! WOW!
"I've been following her. She's getting through to my brother. As soon as he lets me back into his life you can have her"
"I know this looks bad, but everything I've done has been for you" ... Was Ben as calculating and manipulative as Noah thought his brother to be? What's Ben and Parker's connection? WHAT'S GOIN ON????
This book was full of deceit, anger, distrust, guilt, blame, resentment, accusations, mistakes, secrets, silence, agony, surprises, forgiveness...... & LOVE.
Anyone could have a moment of bad judgement. Everyone makes mistakes. Anyone can forgive and everyone deserves a second chance. Some make selfless sacrifices and in the end they find their happy ending.
A really good read indeed!!!!
In the end, Kayla's love for Ben and close friendship to Noah made her their connection to see the facts and have them finally reconnect and see all the details as they happened to Ben and Noah so many years prior and which mended a relationship between two brothers, their father Ron, Kayla and Alexa too.
Deborah Blandon stories are independent, but characters are entwined as friends, family, past relationships... making them all that much more enticing to read and a nice maze of characters.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2015You have to read all 3 books together because once you finish one, you'll want to start immediately on the others. Kayla and Ben were wonderful characters to hang out with, their chemistry was beyond believable and I just enjoyed it so much! Now to figure out which series of Ms Bladon's will be my next one to read!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 3, 2022I love the description of love and devotion among Kayla Monroe and Ben Foster as well as between the brothers Noah and Ben. Alexa Jackson and Kayla are perfect friends and these two books are the best erotica novels I have ever read and I've read all her books.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 18, 2015Oh my gosh! This book series did so much for me. First, I loved Ben and Kayla together. I loved Kayla's strong character. She was funny, energetic and intelligent. Unafraid to grab what she wanted…and ask for what she wanted. Ben - oh, I loved tortured Ben. And I loved them together.
Interestingly, the Biggest thing this book did for me was to make me LOVE Noah, who had NOT won me over in the Vain series. I love these hot, damaged twins who find their way back to each other. Slowly and not without pain.
Kayla and Ben--so hot. I love how they talk to each other. I love Ben's giving heart. I love that Ben softened Noah. LOVE!
Cannot wait to devour her next series! Completely addicted!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2014After reading Vain and finding it intriguing with very interesting characters, I was a little disappointed in Ruin. Mainly because Ben's character is not developed enough. I was glad to read a little more about Noah and Alexia's relationship, but that was flighty. Kayla seemed more grounded in the Vain book. It is hilarious that both brothers enjoyed walking around nude. I was glad the brothers finally confronted some truths from the past. The book definitely pointed to the need for honestly and communication. Last thought is that the father had a lot of responsibility for the breakdown in the twins relationship. I was baffled by Kayla"s need for Ben to share everything but she was not willing to share anything with him. I will read other books by Deborah but I wont be reading this one again.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 16, 2022I feel like I’ve read this story before… I couldn’t place it, but everything was SO familiar. Either way, I enjoyed it. It took a bit for me to grasp the way it was art turn, but, as soon as that happened I read through until I finished the book.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2015I loved all of the characters. If you are looking for a good romance story this is the book for you. The main female character is strong and independent vs. broken and helpless like many others romance novels I read. The author is descriptive enough that she paints a vivid picture, but at the same time she doesn't go overboard using 50 different synonyms for 1 description ( which I can't stand). The intimate parts could be a little raunchy at times, but overall a great read. I am patiently waiting for my copy of the new next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well written
I have been thinking to read this for a while and finally bought it. Good choice. I thought this was a great read. I liked the characters and the slow insert of family history. I read all 3 in a day. Well written.

5.0 out of 5 stars I LOVE IT… SO GREAT!!

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this author!
I read on average about 3 books a week and had exhausted my usual authors. I could not put this book down and was pretty much hooked from the first page; none of this having to read the first few chapters before you get a feel of the characters - I got this straight away. The only downside is that I couldn't put it down! (not that that is really a bad thing!). I enjoyed this book so much that I immediately downloaded the Vain series and also throughly enjoyed that. The characters are amazing and it's a great relaxing read. I have now downloaded every book she has written and am happily making my way through them. I like the fact that the same characters feature in all of the books I have read so far with a gradual introduction of new characters.
