Deborah Bladon
Deborah has done it again. She's such a phenomenal writer. Trace has become my absolute favorite story.
Vanessa Meyer and Garrett Ryan are my faves forever. I love their story from beginning to end. I went from laughing my butt off one second to crying terribly the next and back to laughing. I loved the way those two interacted with not only each other but the other people in their lives. Vanessa's story just broke my heart for her. She is a fascinating character though and anyone would be lucky to have that kind of person in their life.
The struggles she goes through in her quest to "find herself" are tough at the best of times. The connection between her and Garrett both directly and indirectly are intense as well. Seeing what they are able to overcome to be true to themselves is wonderful.
As I read through Vanessa dealing with her mothers condition it hit home for me personally. Watching a parent lose themselves and the memories is one of the hardest experiences anyone can go through. I could relate to her pain as well as her love. Kudos to Deborah Bladon for bringing this subject to the forefront of her story. I appreciated it. It's a hard topic to not only talk about but deal with too. Bladon did an awesome job with it though. BEST BEST Part...when Vanessa finally finds out the truth about who her father is. I came completely unhinged! Totally wasn't expecting that AT ALL!! I love love love it. All I'll say is this (for the sake of no spoilers) Hunter Reynolds is #1 for me FOREVER!! I was so happy the story ended this way. Totally happy!!
If you haven't read the Trace Series yet...you need to!!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 2, 2015This is the final book of the series between Vanessa and Garret. Finally Vanessa finds her biological parents and learns to trust Garret. But I feel that this time the story could have been longer. it seems as if the end comes a bit quickly and there are some topics that haven't been detailed, as what happened with Corine and how Vanessa developed her relationship with her father. Anyway, the story was lovely, I'll be waiting for the next stand alone Miss Bladon.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 16, 2015Trace 1-3 was a wonderful read. I was emotionally engaged in this .. not just for the love story between man and woman but the love between a mother and daughter. I won't spoil your read by going into the whole story .. but I personally got very teary while reading parts of the story because I could empathize with Vanessa. I was very close to my mother and she also had a form of Alzheimer's that made her confused. Unlike Vanessa mom mine did recognize me and spoke me but as she got worse I couldn't talk to her like I used to...telling her my news, and sharing all the aspects of my life. Just like her I felt that sadness of losing someone before they passed away. Now before you start thinking the story is all sad I'll also add that it has some laughter and hot sexy and its a great love story.
Worth the 3 book cost (as any Deborah Bladon story is.)
I dare you to buy this and I know like me you will enjoy it!
So much deserving of my own star rating as 5 isn't enough!

- Reviewed in the United States on March 1, 2015I just finished reading Trace 3 and most of the time life gets in the way of me being able to leave a review, but tonight I just felt compelled to, besides shouting it from the rooftops and telling all my friends with kindles to buy the series (I've got a few hooked on Ms Bladon's easy writing style and great stories).
This is the final part of the Trace series, and whoa what a rude we got on, several twists and turns, I cried for the main character Vanessa, and I truly loved what Deborah did in telling her journey,it was poignant, flawed and beautiful. Of course as a self-confessed Ms Bladon junkie I'd loved to see if We get anymore snippets into Garrett And Vanessa's lives.
I won't spoil it by revealing snything more, but to say a satisfying and great read with fabulous twists and turns.
Thank you Deborah, can't wait for Chance and Ember ðŸ˜
- Reviewed in the United States on March 5, 2015I really enjoyed this series, enjoyed all the characters. Garrett was some character. He sounded fun, handsome sexy, self assured and incredibly loving. Well we can say only to Vanessa. He seemed in the beginning to be just a man whore jerk.
Vanessa's character was so endearing throughout and to the end. What a great story about her life, just made you feel for her for the roller coaster of emotions she had to endure finding out both mothers secrets.
Great ending to find out who she is related to, that was really good. Thanks Deborah for another great read.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 2, 2015For a series that started off really strong, I started to lose interest somewhere with book 2, to the point that I couldn't care less about what I was reading in book 3. Yes, I know, this is a series and no one forced me to read it. I read it because, to be honest, I wanted to see how the story would end, and it was less than 100 pages. Like many other readers, I'm not a fan of books that are split up turning it into a series, or novellas if you will, when it could've been just one complete book. But like I said earlier, I knew what I was getting into. That being said, I have to say that book 3 turned out to be a complete and utter bore. The characters couldn't hold my attention as they were all flat, and so uninteresting. And the story? By the time got around to book 3, I couldn't care less about Vanessa's discovery of her birth mother, or her relationship with Garrett. Speaking of which, I never felt their connection, the heat or passion. Sure they had a lot of sex but that soon became monotonous taking up pages of an already short novel novella. I think what bothered me the most was how the entire story read like a soap opera. That and how neat and tidy the story came to an end, with an epilogue that was a little too perfect. In the end, let's just say I'm very glad this series is over.

5.0 out of 5 stars TRACE -part 3 by Deborah Bladon.
I waited until all 3 novels in this series were released before I started to read them back to back, as if one book.... So my review will be the same on all 3 separate novels. The story is over the 3 novels, so reading just one wouldn't relate what the story is all about and how the relationships (for all characters) progresses. Like all the other series this author has penned, this trilogy has the same excellent qualities. A page turner. It is about a woman who has a demanding job as a nurse in a hospital, her very ill mother who kept secrets, only to find out that the mother is not her real mother after all, and so lays the ground work of discovery, not only of herself, but of her real parents, and how her relationship with the man shes just met is linked into her investigations, which surprises them both. Whether this breaks them up remains to be seen until the very end, and I am not going to spoil that for you. This is a 'well worth' read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Deborah Bladon nails it every single time!!!
I really can't get enough of Deborah Bladon's books. When a new one comes out I seem to drop everything and go to her stories as I know they will never ever disappoint. Trace is my favorite series so far. I loved both characters and I felt so much for both. I think that Garrett is an absolute dream and Vanessa's story broke my heart over and over again. There were so many twists and turns and of course some super steamy scenes. I love the way it ended...couldn't have asked for a better love story! Can't wait for the next one:)

5.0 out of 5 stars Very intriguing read
This series really kept my interest but those damn cliffhangers....aahhh. At least I didn't have to wait long to satisfy my need to know what happens next. I never liked serials until I came across Deborah Bladon's and I devoured all of them. Trace was a great read with some crazy twists. I really love how Deborah links all of the characters throughout the novels in a six degrees of separation sort of way. I enjoy her writing style and you feel like you get to know the characters well. Can't wait for the next one!
