But he came through anyway... loved him!

    What a heart wrenching ending to book two. My heart broke when she,read her mother's letter. OMG!!!!

    What an excellent surprise and ending to this emotionally charged story.... WOW!!!! WOW!!!! WOW!!!!! Loved that Vanessa found her dad. And although her half sister turned to be a poisoned-mean-materialistic human being, I was soooo thrilled of who her half brother turned out to be, the most compassionate guy of DB series. Vanessa not only found her,happy ending with Garrett, she found love in a family and understanding of her past.

    By far my best read yet by Deborah Blandon. Totally recommend it but before reading this one, catch up with the other series. Although independent characters for each series/book, some do tie in with others making reading all the books soooooo much more enjoyable.

    I always enjoy this author's series. I have read a couple already and was surprised as how addicting they are. I feel like perhaps I need to do a little research to see if they are in any particular order. I had a distinct feeling I was missing some background in this series about supporting characters. The one thing I always do is wait until the series is completely released before I start it--each book is very short.

    Trace was definitely page turner. Vanessa and Garrett had amazing chemistry and the storyline was really good--different. Garrett was sometimes way too cocky for my liking but Vanessa handed it right back to him.

    I loved Vanessa--her outlook and attitude and protectiveness. And the ending when she met her father and brother was so wonderful.

    Scorchingly hot, sweet page-turner!! I will definitely research if there is a "proper" order in which to read her series. This is the first one that really didn't feel like a standalone series that didn't draw on other stories.

    I read this series in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. I loved the twists and turns and all the characters, especially Garrett. He was amazing. I must admit that at times I wish Vanessa would have reached out more instead of keeping everything to herself, but that was her way of dealing with all the turmoil I suppose. I love Ms. Bladon's writing style, and I really enjoyed this series. It's one of the few books I would read again.

Although there is the predictable lack of communication conflict that seems to permeate this genre as of late, the real plot was was different and not at all expected. Yeah, a few typos and grammar errors, but I have come to realize that publishers must have fired all the book editors and as long as it isn't too out of hand, I have made my peace with it.

    I wasn't sure what to expect from this series but I really like how the characters from her other books/series make appearances! This was a story with another strong female main character and a smart, successful, sexy male main character. I enjoyed how messy things were, although at times it could get a bit annoying but not enough where I considered not finishing the story! I would buy all 3 books at once as you'll want to immediately go to the next without a break. Enjoy!

    I loved this story line but I have to say that Vanessa really got on my last nerve. What was so hard about talking and sharing with the people she cared about? She was even reluctant to talk with Zoe, who was suppose to be her best friend. I felt that this story could have been told UN a more straightforward way and it would not have taken away from the intrigue. I gave a five rating because the premise was very good.

    Another great series from Deborah Bladon with two lovely main characters. I was worried at one point that they might turn out to be half siblings though that frightening possibility never seemed to cross their minds. I liked the way Hunter from a previous series made a brief appearance along with his father who had only briefly had a mention in his story. I like the fact that the characters from other series cross over as Jax did in Hunter's tale. I suspect that I may have missed Zoe 's story but I intend to rectify that by carrying on reading more of these great stories.
