    I absolutely LOVE all of Deborah Blandon's books!! She has a way of drawing you into the characters and their stories that make it almost impossible to put the books down! I am fascinated how she brings characters in from her other series and incorporates them in to the current storyline. I always feel like I'm on a roller coaster reading her books and experiencing whiplash at every turn- just when you think you have something figured out, she surprises you with another twist to the storyline. Because she weaves all her characters in and out of her different series of books, I now have a chart to track them and the relationships her characters have with each other. Absolutely love the way she sucks you into the story from the very first page and keeps you hanging on until the very last sentence! Highly recommend this author, however, if you're not into cliffhangers, you might want to buy the box sets!!!

    Last book ended in a terrible cliffhanger and I have to admitt that what I thought that was going on was actually more exciting than what was actually going on ...Does that make sense???
    Vanessa has recently discovered the truth about her birth mother and her adopted mother. She carries on with her research and enlists the help of a lawyer.
    Her relationship with Garrett progresses, but she is keeping secrets from him.
    Having to finally tell him some parts of her story, he advises that she gets an experienced lawyer in criminal law.
    After that, things go downhill. More secrets are revealed and what she thought was the truth is snatched away from underneath her feet. It seems that everything she thought she knew is reversed and twisted. What will she do now? And what role does Garrett play in all this?
    This second book also ends with a cliffhanger...I am curious to know what happens next.
    I really thought that this premise was different and I loved the twist that the author added, but I have to admitt that it lacked some excitement. The tempo wasn't as strong as the author's previous work and I was a little disappointed...Still, Deborah Bladon has a way with words.
    I would have loved if this was put together in a standalone instead of small seperate books though...

    3.5 Stars from me.

I enjoy Deborah's story so much. Its like being on a diet and you tell yourself your gonna have just two bites of ice cream and the next thing you know its a whole bowl.
    She writes such likable characters like Vanessa. And the guys, oh my! Garrett is ...I don't know. Just know you will be jealous of Vanessa. Makes you hope there is really is a Garrett Ryan out there somewhere in the real world. Can wait for 3.

    I love this authors writing style. Her plots always instantly draw you in and I always read them straight through.My only issue is, after reading several of her books, I am finally tired of the way she releases her books. What is with these little snippets she releases in 3 parts or sometimes 6 parts ???? It is just ridiculous and somewhat of a rip off. Plus, she does this with every book she writes. I noticed other authors trying to do this, and it honestly is a big turn off. By the time I get back into the story and actually remember what is going on, it's over. I want to read a book as a whole, not 82 pages every other week. It also drags the story on, and by the time the last part of the story is released, I could care less how it ends. I won't be reading more from this author because of this, but I DO recommend this to other readers out there. The story is good, but in order to read it, you have to be willing to put up with the nonsense that comes with it.

    Deborah Bladon writes intriguing stories.........the first one of this two-series TRACE left me highly disappointed....until I realized that the second part was waiting for me..........The developing love and mystery starts at the very beginning when Garrett Ryan shows up in the ER where the pretty young nurse on duty , Vanessa, has to deal with the super-handsome young man who crashed into a tree while riding his bike in Central Park. Both books are exciting and surprising and lead to a series of happenings and mishaps that pull the reader through.
    I must admit that I was disappointed again when I finished the second book........but you'll have to find out for yourself why! Definitely a good read.....

    While Vanessa seems to be a strong woman, it frustrates me to read this story on how the man she seems to really care about is the last person she wants help from. If at all he could be a great friend with benefits if she didn't want a relationship. Garret seems to really care, and she wants to avoid him and not want to tell her most tragic secrete to... however she has freely told several. Looking forward to seeing how the story unfolds. The cliff hanger with the letter was as good as the first book, of having us think Garrett was Connie's husband!

    I waited until all 3 novels were released before I started to read, and then read back to back as if one book. You need to read all 3 novels to see the whole story and how several relationships pan out - mother(s), father(s) friends and boyfriend, not to mention work related issues. This story is about a woman with a very demanding job in ER, has a mother who is very ill, and who has secrets, which unfold and causes mayhem and knocks the confidence of our nurse..... At the same time she meets this cocky probate attorney, so life becomes a very difficult balancing act for her. Like all the other series this author has penned, this one has the same excellent qualities and well worth the read.

    Part two of this series couldn't come fast enough for me. When I saw its release I had to stop all else to read it! It didn't disappoint. I have become a huge fan of Deborah Bladon's and each story I read gets better and better. Part one of Trace ended in a jaw-dropping cliff hanger and part two resolved that nicely. Garrett is an absolute dream and my heart breaks for what Vanessa is going through. This story is original and so intense and super sexy. Can't wait for the conclusion!!!
