    Dixon is the first book in the Dark Falcons MC series. When Dixon returns home from the military, he never expected his town to be run over by an MC causing trouble. With an agenda to save his town, he finds help with old and new friends, and an attraction to bar owner, Fiona, that he never expected. But will his efforts be enough to save everything he’s falling for?

    Oh my goodness, what a fantastic book that swept me away! Dixon and Fiona completely stole my attention and once I started this book, I couldn’t put it down! The book was fast paced, full of drama and a tiny bit of suspense and characters that you just had to cheer for! The book mostly takes place from Dixon’s point of view, so we get to see the protector, the warrior, the brave heart he possesses, and how much he wants his town and budding relationship to thrive! I really enjoyed Dixon! He’d make such a great boyfriend! Fiona is fierce and courageous, fights for her bar and family, and while she can come across as being a little prickly, she has been hurt too many times in her past. I loved the connection and tension you could feel between Dixon and Fiona and loved their passion! I also loved that while this was a novella length story, there’s still character development, drama, and a romance that will both tug at your heart and scorch your kindle! This was a fantastic set up to a new series that I am super excited for!

    This book is a quick read. Dixon is back from his time in the Marines. There is a motorcycle club moving in to their small town and not a good one. After helping a local woman out at her bar with a few of them he decides something needs to be done. Dixon and some guys he went to school make a plan to help save their small town before its too late. Fiona just wants to run her bar in this small town. She moved to get away from her overbearing brothers. Now there is Dixon “trying” to help her. She doesn’t have to best track with men and from the outside Dixon seems to fall into the same group as those men. Will she still think that after she gets to know him? Can Dixon and his friends save their town? Will Dixon get the girl? This was great read. I was hooked from the start. I have read several of Em’s other books and wasn’t disappointed in this book. I have already purchased the second book and plan to read it right away. I can’t wait to read what happens next.

    I love a good man, that also has just the right amount of toughness and badness in him. Dixon, who is a Marine and has just returned home fits the bill nicely. I say that he is a Marine, because once you are a Marine, you are always a Marine. I also like a strong woman, and Fiona, that owns the bar in town, also fits this nicely. Every strong woman needs an extra strong man around. The two of them connect to get rid of an outlaw motorcycle gang in town, along with a brotherhood of men called the Dark Falcons. They also connect on a much more personal level. This leads to a great story that has suspense, as well as some intense heat. It is a quick read, that you don't want to put down. I highly recommend it.

    For a shortish story, this one packs a punch and has totally hooked me to the world of the Dark Falcons MC. I’m a super fan of this author. Every story I have read by her has captured something inside of me and made me a fangirl many times over. She has an easy way about her writing that even when the story is heavy or laden with deep emotion, it doesn’t turn dark or angsty. MC romance books can turn to dark on a dime. I did not feel any darkness in this story and I think the author will continue this trend in the future.

    The story carries just enough drama and action to keep you interested in the MC story arc but it doesn’t take away focus from Dixon and Fiona’s journey. Even tho they weren’t setting my kindle on fire LOL they had a real connection and chemistry. This is the first in a series and also a short read so there wasn’t a lot of depth to Dixon and Fiona as individuals but I’m hoping this changes in future books and we start to get more information about them and their past. That’s the trend with most MC romances, they feed into each other which is what makes them almost impossible to read as standalones!

    I loved so many things about this book. I loved that it set the premise of this series. You were introduced to most of the characters who are likely to get their own book. You got the feeling of what the new club is going to be about and also how it came to be.

    Dixon is a man who is in need of a purpose. I loved that he wants to clean up the town he grew up in and make it safe again. I love that he is taking the negative perception of a biker gang and using it for good to help his community is very noble.

    Fiona is a woman running a bar and doing it on her own. Because of outside issues, her staff keeps leaving and she is just trying to hold it together. When Dixon comes along, she is attracted to him but she thinks she knows him or at least guys like him.

    It was fun to watch both of them grow in the book and become the people they were meant to be.

Fiona wants nothing to do with Dixon until Dixon and his friends decide a community oriented MC was the best way to help the town. While short, the story was well written and the characters were fairly well developed.
