About the authors
Thanks for checking out my Amazon landing page. Please click FOLLOW to keep up with my prolific launch schedule. I can’t do this without a whole bunch of amazing readers.
Scott Moon is the co-author of the bestselling Homeworld Lost, The Last Reaper, Terran Strike Marines, and Darklanding series. His solo works include Blue Sun Armada, Invasion Day, the Chronicles of Kin Roland, and more. As a lifelong fan of reading and a chronic daydreamer, he has retired from twenty-six years of public service to make his own schedule, indulge his imagination, and pursue a variety of hobbies. He’s an 80s kid who survived to (relative) maturity and it shows.
You can join his Facebook Group, The Scott Moon Base, or learn more than you ever wanted to about his writing process at Scott’s Science Fiction Substack.
Craig is a million-selling author of science fiction (post-apocalyptic, military sci-fi, and space opera), thrillers, and non-fiction.
Craig retired from the Marine Corps after a long career in the military intelligence community, having worked with most of the U.S. Government's three-letter agencies. After a short stint with physical security, Craig went to law school, graduated summa cum laude, and went into business consulting. From intelligence, to the inner workings of company board rooms, to on-the-ground leadership, Craig has seen it firsthand.
His books are an extension of his experience, putting the trials and tribulations of a fast-paced world into your hands. Whether in Science Fiction, Thrillers, Fantasy, or even his Non-Fiction, you'll find consistent themes of justice and doing right by those who are counting on their leaders. Leadership is a service, not a crown to lord over others.
No matter where Craig went, he always had a book with him. Thanks to 21st Century technology, He now has thousands of books at his fingertips and with him wherever he goes. How many books would he have read on deployments had he not had to carry a physical book?
No one is encumbered like that now. Craig loves the works of Robert Heinlein, Anne McCaffrey, Andre Norton, JRR Tolkien, Robert E. Howard, and so many more. He has been compared to Andre Norton and that is humbling - she was an incredible author with a huge list of novels to her credit. With every new book, Craig aspires to live up to those that you, the readers, have compared him to.
Through a bizarre series of events, Craig ended up in Fairbanks, Alaska. He never expected to retire to a place where golf courses are only open for four months out of the year. But that's the way it is. It is off the beaten path. He and his wife get to watch the northern lights from their driveway. Their dog has lots of room to run, just until temperatures reach fifty below zero. They have from three and a half hours of daylight in the winter to twenty-four hours in the summer.
It’s all part of the give and take of life. If they didn’t have those extremes, then everyone would live in the sub-arctic.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 27, 2020Maximus got his own episode, and it was quite a thrill ride. Mast is doing a great job and deserves more credit. P. C. is trying to save Darklanding. I'm really enjoying this series.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 8, 2018in this episode, anyway.
Another great read from Moon and Martelle!
Of course, when you put a cop and a (former [ha, no such thing!]) Marine with incredible storytelling abilities together, you get some Good Guys who know justice and use law to obtain it.
Open talks with Josh Whedon for a TV series. Please?
Looking forward to the 2-parter...::mumble:: freakin' cliff-hanger endings and waiting....
- Reviewed in the United States on June 4, 2018I look forward to finding the newest episode in Darklanding. Please don't stop at 12. Continue it. I love the concept of the old West transferred to space. I want Mast and his people to thrive in Darklanding! I also want Thad and others to grow. I have had two difficult years physically. Reading about Darklanding has helped. So please continue.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 29, 2021I've read the series even though the books are short and to be honest not the best writing and definitely not the best editing. Having said that there are characters you can like and want to follow along but you are always waiting for more. This book promises to dive deeper into the backstory of one character and it pretty much misses out on anything relevant. The writing and editing is getting worse in each book but I insist on trudging through to the end.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 3, 2018Aroooooh. Snort. I can't get enough of Thadius Fry and Mast Jotham and of course Maximus. These stories are some of the best I've read this year. It was great getting some background on Glakridoz and very interesting to have Maximus sounds rendered into human. I guessed he was an intelligent animal.

5.0 out of 5 stars ... than the last - and this one was the best yet. I really liked the way Maximus's story ...
Every book in this series is stronger than the last - and this one was the best yet. I really liked the way Maximus's story and background were developed - and will have to read this tale, again, just for that - and, yes, for a while there I didn't know who would survive and who wouldn't, and it was a wild ride to find out. Thank you, again, for a great story!
