As a twelve year old, I borrowed a book from the library that I thought was a vampire novel. It turned out to be the true story of British "vampire" serial killer, John Haigh (amazing the things they'll let a 12 year old check out!). Nonetheless, I was fascinated, and even though the librarian wouldn't let me take out any other books on the subject, I became a true crime junkie, burning my way through True Detective magazines by the dozen.

Forty years later, I feel as though I've investigated more cases of murder than most homicide detectives, studied more serial killers than your average profiler, and spent more time than a conference full of psychologists trying to understand what every true crime buff really wants to know; Why do they do it?

My books feature the cases that interest me most. I hope that you will find them equally fascinating.

Quite a few criminals I've never heard of. Many that I am aware of not published here. Will there be a second volume.

Interesting snippets of WWWH! To the point, follows the crime from beginning to end in 3 to 4 pages. Not for anyone looking for in depth research or analysis of the crimes portrayed. If you want more information about the crimes portrayed find a book specific to the subject.

Short & sharp. A good book.

It was so frustrating when the system failed the public by first giving light sentences to perpetrators for sexually assaulting children (and women), not sending them back to prison to serve out violations of their paroles when caught committing another crime, then not serving the full sentence for either the new crime or former crime committed.

The police themselves had to be frustrated that even though they did their job correctly, a parole system that doesn't seem to value the mental, physical, and emotional toll the sexual assault by a grown man on a child takes is so callous. The amount of money paid out by the Church for deliberately moving predator priests to new locales to prey on more unsuspecting victims is still impacting our society.

Compound that with the grief for a murdered child. How much is a family expected to take? There's a reason I don't like unsolved homicides and missing persons "presumed" deceased cases. I like resolution, even when hearing how much the victim suffered is hard to take.

There was a reason the rapists and murderers in this book were sentenced to death and executed. Their crimes were so depraved after years of hunting there was little else that could be done, since life sentences didn't appear to stop them from being paroled and once again integrated back into an unsuspecting public.

Very informative of not only the crimes but backgrounds of the criminals. Crazy what some actually get as a last meal. That info along with their last words was a nice touch! I'm a big Robert Keller fan who waits for the next great read that I find hard to put down until I've read it all

2.0 out of 5 stars Basic descriptive book
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on August 4, 2017
This book is a basic description of crimes and execution of individual convicts.
It puts the 'facts' across and does not explore further into the crimes described.
