Love RL and have purchased all her books, the stories are separate yet entwined and the common denominator is self-growth. This particular story is so rich and complex that could have been written and expanded into more than 3 books. I know we all want the happy ending but I loved the adventures and different species. Like I said is very rich!

    This is a powerful series that is incredibly written. Below are the individual reviews for each of the books.

    Desolation
    This is a book with personality! There is humor, thrills and heart. Characters are compelling, distinct and likable . This is a well written story that is an incredible build up to the rest of the series. The storyline is captivating and entertaining. This is an incredible debut novel and I cannot wait to see what R.L Caulder writes next! I am very excited for the next book!

    Detonation
    Picking up right where Desolation, book 1, left off, this book jumps right back into the action. I really liked the plot and discoveries. This is a book that I laughed and cried with and found myself turning the pages not even realizing how fast I moved through the story. I can't wait to read Devastation!

    Devastation
    This is an incredible conclusion to Lana and her mates' series. It shows so much growth in the characters and their relationship. I loved the emphasis on the elements of family, trust, support and love. This is beautifully written with a rollercoaster of emotions. I highly recommend reading this series!

    I so wanted to enjoy this series but it felt more YA then a RH book. It wasn't till the last 30% or less that there was any "physical chemisty" between just 1 partner...the "war" seemed very drawn out and I just couldn't keep forcing it.

    I first have to say the covers for this series are absolutely gorgeous! Darkness Rising has everything from incredible characters to amazing world building and a heart pumping storyline!

    We are introduced in Desolation, book 1, to Lana, a phenomenal MFC, and there is so much that happens in this first book that readers will not be able to put it down for a moment. I loved the interactions between her and her men, who also happen to be her best friends, and I was very excited to delve into book 2, Detonation. We get a lot of great backstory on Lana's life and further fantastic moments between her and her men in book 2. Lana has some really interesting growth in Detonation that makes her character that much enjoyable to follow, and it just makes me that much more interested to find out what will happen next for these characters. Once we hit book 3, Devastation, this page tuner was off the charts! The journey for these characters has been wild and difficult, but Lana and her men continue to persevere. There were some great steamy moments between them, and a lot of action and adventure. Definitely an epic conclusion for the Darkness Rising series!

    This was a captivating series and I cannot wait to read more by this author.

    R.L. Caulder brought the action, love, loss, pain, lust and everything in between. The bonds Lana shares with her men is unlike anything I have experienced. The bonds are so strong and full of love and trust. The family they have built together is truly beautiful. They love one another unconditionally and are there for one another through the good and the bad.

    This series brings together a beautiful sight of the tremendous growth Lana has had from book 1 until the very end. While she is not perfect, the confidence, strength and contentment that Lana shows is stunning. She learns to accept who she is, grows into herself and the power she wields, and finds a simmering confidence in herself.

    The love and kindness she has not only for her chosen family, but the other Queens, their realms and her god/goddess family knows no bonds. She would go to hell and back to protect them even at the cost of her own life.

    R.L. Caulder invokes so many emotions in me with this epic series. I felt the pain and loss that Lana felt at all of the lives so tragically lost, to the love and lust for her men. I felt everything Lana felt right along with her.

    An outstanding 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
