    I have been in the ultimate book fund, no time to read and no desire to as every book I have picked up in the past two months just wasn't cutting it. It was sweet and so/so but nothing was grabbing me. I was sure there was something wrong with me, I lost my reading mojo and and was figuring I wouldn't get it back. So a few days ago, after a long FB hiatus I signed in, and what pops up but $.99 sale of Dirty rich, Lisa renee Jone's latest book. I was torn, do I yet again click another book only to be disappointed or take the chance on an author I love and hope I get my mojo back. Click I did and I am some happy I made that choice.

    This book sucked me in immediately. There is just something about her writing that grabs me and keeps me engaged. I love her characters and I love her stories. And Dirty Rich was no different, I had hit the jackpot, I got a book I couldn't put down and although it was worth full price, I also got it for a great price. My only issue now, was real life kept forcing me to put it down and be a grown up.

    Reese Summer was everything I wanted him and needed him to be. He was hot and sexy and oh so perfect. He was that Alpha male yet still sweet and caring. Oh how I wanted to lick this man and make him mine.

    I also loved Cat's character. She had her insecurities and moments of weakness but I loved how strong her character was. I loved how she was with Reese and loved the dynamic the author built between these two. They were a bit of a perfect legal power couple and really enjoyed how their story played out. From the moment these two met you could instantly feel the chemistry and attraction but as the story played out, you couldn't help feel it become so much more.

    And like all of this author's books, this book was hot. But the thing I love most about her writing is that even though this lady can write an amazing hot sex scene, it's never over done, there is never too much sex but there is also so much story, she always finds the perfect balance. There were some great twists and turns added to this story and best of all, I loved that the author didn't rush their ending, but at the same time, didn't drag it out for longer than it needed to be. From start to finish, this one was perfect and just what I needed. It felt amazing to be sucked back into a story, to be thinking about it when I had to put it down and to be left still thinking about it now that I am done. It's been a long time since I got so many feels from a book and so glad this was the story and the author to do it.

    If you read the Tall Dark and Deadly series you will love this one and love seeing some of those characters but if you haven't, you will still love this one and this truly can be read as a stand alone. Overall a really fabulous 5 star read that I can say enough about nor stop gushing over Mr. Hotness.

    Cat Maxwell comes from a family of lawyers. Her father is one and her two older brothers are also lawyers who work with her father. So, it was expected that Cat become a lawyer as well. She graduated from Harvard with her law degree and is still licensed to practice. However, 2 years ago, her fiancé, also a lawyer, cheated on her with his secretary. She broke off the engagement and decided to do what she wants which was to be a crime reporter. She has a column called “Cat Does Crime”. She was assigned to “the trial of the century”. A young pregnant woman who was being abused by her boyfriend is killed. The man on trial for the murder is wealthy and married. He and his wife were trying to help the young woman get out of her toxic relationship and get ready for a baby.

    On the first day of the trial, Cat goes into her favorite coffee shop to grab a drink before court. She has a run in with a handsome man who has no manners and cuts in front of Cat in line.

    Reese Summer is the defense attorney in “the trial of the century”. He also happens to be the guy from the coffee shop. When the trial is in recess for a break, Reese see Cat waiting in the back row to exit court. He was instantly attracted to her in the coffee shop and is curious about why she’s watching the trial.

    Will Reese run away when he finds out Cat is a reporter? Will Cat run away from Reese in an attempt to stay professional? Will they finally give in to their attraction? Will Reese win his case? Will they find the real killer?

    Loved this book from start to finish.

    I'm almost embarrassed to admit that I haven't read Lisa Renee Jones until this year. It's not that I didn't want to, it was simply a matter of time. However, months later, I'm a rabid fan, one-clicking whatever she publishes without a cover or even a blurb. Her writing still resonates so strongly with me that I anticipate her upcoming releases with an unnatural adrenaline rush. So it should come as no surprise that I am utterly in love with her latest book, Dirty Rich One Night Stand.

    This story has everything I love about Lisa's novels; it's intelligent, complex without being overdone, surprising, romantic and hot as hell. A slightly damaged alpha male meets a slightly damaged alpha female, they clash, and then they immediately ignite and engage your imagination with off-the-charts chemistry and stunningly well-written prose.

    Reese Summer is a bright, driven criminal attorney with an impressive record and a bit of entitled arrogance to match. He was once forced to choose between love and career, and now has no time or interest in pursuing long-term relationships. But underneath his arrogant exterior is a man who doesn't know what he's missing until he meets his match in Cat Maxwell.

    Cat is an equally adept attorney who's left her law practice behind to cover criminal trials from the sidelines - as a journalist and author. She's fiercely independent, having been betrayed by a former lover and dismissed by her misogynistic father and brothers.     Along the way, there's a murder mystery to solve, more than one ethical dilemma, a few misunderstandings, doubt, fear, and angst. It's so well-written I read it in one sitting and will read it again when I need a smart, sexy, heartwarming second look at two characters I quickly came to love. My only regret is that I haven't read the Walker Security Series yet, and I think that may have enhanced the reading experience even more. But this is such a well-written standalone that I'm ready to head to Lisa's backlist and treat myself to the stories I've missed.

    I highly recommend Lisa's Dirty Money series, the White Lies Duet, and this outstanding new release. I rarely fan-girl anymore, but when it comes to Lisa, I'm not ashamed to admit I'm in it for the long haul.

    I absolutely loved this book because of the tight writing, fantastic plot, humour, and strong characters. I think it is the best of her writing as I couldn't put it down. No spoiler alerts here but I'm sure that you will love it if you like some plot twists. Can't wait to read the next one in this series which I already have lined up.

    If you're a fan of courtroom dramas, then this one will hit the nail on the head.
    But what has impressed me about this one, is how beautifully the Reese and Cat love drama is interspersed with a thrilling ongoing court case.

    Reese Summers is cutthroat and one brilliant lawyer but he was definitely not ready to meet the sassy reporter when they clashed in the coffee shop.

    Cat hates Reese's guts right from the start but also can't deny that spark of flying embers like chemistry between them.

    Reese Summers too can't deny the pull of desires he feels towards Cat but when he's amid the case of his career, the 𝗌𝖾𝗑𝗒 reporter can't be a distraction to him.

    Yet these two come together like fire and so begins a hot affair that starts slowly turning into a blazing fire of feelings and affections.

    I freaking loved the Courtroom preps and all the legal drama we get to see. Especially seeing a brilliant attorney like Reese in action, had me glued to the pages.

    There are many complications that are cleverly tangled along in the story such that everything seems to be interlinked and could affect the relationship between Reese and Cat.

    I really loved how Reese is with Cat. Right from the start, even though, Cat was reluctant and understandably because of the way her family is, yet you can clearly see that REESE IS ALL IN WHERE CAT IS CONCERNED.

    I love a man who owns his decisions and knows his mind and once set he doesn't back out but stays and that's what Reese was like. Never mind the many curveballs and complexities they face especially that last incident towards the end, when the stakes reach an all time high.

    But Reese is a strong man and someone who always stays and keeps his word.

    Ahhh.... I loved Reese and Cat and I can't wait to read the next part of this duet. Loved this one.

    Seems lawyer stories are the flavour of the month at present but this doesn't disappoint. A well known author whose story flows well. I felt the connection between the H & h & enjoyed their journey.
    Both Cat & Reece are alike, however she has left her legal job to become a crime reporter. One night stands are her thing however Reece makes her change her mind. Their lives become interwoven causing some distress over a family & legal matter.
    Cat becomes involved in Reece's current case & there is some suspense & a touch of angst. These two characters are perfect for each other. So you will have to read it to see if all ends well.
