    I wanted to give a review on the whole series at once. Okay I couldn't get to the next book fast enough. I have read a lot of EMP Survival stories this one though really hit home. Maybe because it mostly occurs in Missouri. Where I happen to live in Springfield, well a farm. So this is a reality check for us around here. The characters, you will fall in love with and mourn with them when they are lost. This series got to my heart. Great, great series.

    Maddie was very well portrayed as a mixture of young woman and teen, through her attitudes, stubbornly moments and her emotions. I have 5 daughters, so I picked up on that! I was actually quite upset with her in Book 7 because of that!

There are a lot of characters and over the seven books, I felt that I really got to know some of them, most especially Maddie, who wouldn't take no for an answer, but usually came out on top. I can't imagine how I would cope if a similar situation arose and let's be honest it could very well happen. I very highly recommend the Days of Want series it's an absolute must-read.
