    This story is HOT and STEAMY and still so very sweet & smart, as well. Issi isn't a pushover. Van is used to being a boss, but not used to his heart being involved. Their immediate connection confuses both of them, but they jump right in & go for it, despite warnings (on Issi's side) not to.

    Their story is a quick read (I finished it in a couple of hours) but still feels full and gives a picture of who they each are. And we get a couple of surprises at the end that I really, really liked!! : )

    Van and Issi are both loner workaholics who are brought together by their parents wedding. Both are instantly attracted to one another. While Van is all in Issi has always been against love due to her mother’s past with a revolving door of men. Van is determined to make her his and show her how perfect they are for each other he just has to break down all her walls and earn her trust which may be impossible with her mother warning her against him. Van was a good H and was head over heels for Issi. Even while his business was in danger of collapsing all he could think about was her. I loved his devotion to her and to prove to her he wasn’t like his father.

    She never new her dad, only her mother and a bunch of step fathers. But she will always be thankful to her mom in ensuring that she got a wonderful education, even if she was not like other moms, she was the perfect mom for her. Then just as she decided to return home and try to make a life, only for her mom to be planning to get married again. But she got to see a picture of her step brother and just one looked had her near orgasm and her heart racing. For a work aholic like herself, she has no interest in ever getting married much less a relationship, but just one look at him had her singing a different tune.

    When he got the call from his dad that he needed to return home for his wedding, he did not put much stock in their conversation or had any plans to attend seeing that he did not think it would last. But then his dad sent him a picture of his fiancee and her daughter, only for him to experience an electric jolt to his system when he saw his step sister. His entire body came alive and he started making plans for a future with her and put arrangements in place so that he can he at his dad's wedding just to meet her.

    Can they put aside their whole idea on relationships and marriage based on their parents dating life, and build a future together?

    Once againMs. Wyatt has hit out of the park with this insta love book. Van and Issi are complete opposites but they complete each other throughly. They meet at what is supposed to be their parents wedding. You get so many twist and turns while they learn to love each other. This was fun to read.

    This book struck a cord with me just from the title. I was sitting at my desk 25 years ago when the door behind me opened and a man walked in and I knew. One week later we moved in together, we were married not long after, and 25 years and 2 kids later we still say I love you everyday. Just like in this book, it doesn't matter if you are seeing someone for the first time, when you know, you know. And another thing I know is that you should read this book, and any others by Dani Wyatt that you can. Mature eyes only due to hot 🔥 loving!!!!

    Well where do I start this is by far one of Dani’s best books for me and o have read most of them. It’s steamy, sweet and has the right amount of suspense to keep you reading.

    Isi has moved back to her home town after living in NY, she’s got the job of her dreams and a house she’s ready to call home but all that changes when her mother announces her wedding and she meets her soon to be step brother. She can’t help being attracted to him on sight and fights her feelings from the get go as she never wanted to fall in love or get married, she’s given up on sec after the disaster of her first time. But as her and Van get closer she loses the facade she’s always lived behind. Could the girl who had nothing and came from the wrong side of the tracks really have a HEA?

    Van knew the second he looked at the picture of his soon to be step sister that his heart was in trouble, just one look and he’s all in. But there are forces against them and somebody wants to destroy them before they start. No way is bam letting anyone take his future away he will fight for Issi with all he has to convince her they belong.

    Easy quick read highly recommended, safe and plenty of heat.

    I positively LOVED the book Van is so protective but understands Issi needs her independence. He values that she is perfectly capable of doing things on her own but he still steps in to make the road a little smoother. My ONE gripe with this book is somewhat silly I know but at one point there is a passage I don’t want to spoil anything so I can’t give much context; “...some emails, and wala, all is once again right with the world.” Anybody else picking up what I’m putting down?? WALA IS NOT A WORD, I believe the author was going for “Voilà” and chose to spell it (somewhat) phonetically... minor detail I know, but it completely took me out of the story RIGHT WHEN GOOD STUFF WAS HAPPENING because I was so thrown off.

    I don't really know what to say about this book I normally really love Dani's books. I loved the begining and the end it was the middle I struggled with first off Issi's mom was so annoying to the point I wanted to climb in the book and slap her. Just because she couldn't find a good man she thought Issi should never have a relationship or fall in love. I couldn't believe it when she started making her promise to never fall in love just sleep around instead. Her mother was so selfish if she couldn't find happiness nobody could and when she nearly broke them up I really hated her. Second once Issi and Van got together it was like all they did was have sex page after page to the point I started skipping. When the mother wasn't in the book and they wasn't actually having sex the book was good.The mother annoyed me that much I'm not even going to download the free book I have no interest in her story.
