In Pink (Damaged Devils Book 14) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 151 ratings

Adam wants to think of Pink as a younger brother, but he isn’t. Pink wishes Adam would get out of his head, but he won’t.

Since getting adopted and going to live with his new family, Pink’s life has turned around in all the best ways. He’s made friends. Pink finally sees a future for himself after years of living a nightmare. The only hiccup is the family butler, Adam. He’s more like family than an employee. Pink can’t see him as anything except his. It’s an unfortunate situation all the way around.

When Pink first came to live with them, Adam honestly believed the love he felt was the brotherly type. Now Adam can’t stop noticing Pink’s gorgeous eyes and smile. He can’t stop wanting to kill everyone Pink dates. It’s a conundrum. He’s sure it’ll pass.

In Pink is the fourteenth book in Charity Parkerson’s Damaged Devils series. These are dark romance stories with crime lords, assassins, and sociopaths who find their hearts. They are best enjoyed when read in order.

This is a five star read for sure. Age gap is my favorite trope and this one hit all the right buttons!

Pink and Adam - Short story ! Dark Romance with past abuse told, and murder.
Adam, butler/protector, 6'4" big hunky body with brown eyes, and he's bi. He has held his emotions in check, but wants Pink.
Pink, 20, adopted by Quintin and Snow, had attempted suicide, in school now for Phlebotomy, dark green eyes and lithe, loves Adam, but holds back until he can't.
They all lived as a family, a chosen few, and Adam drives Pink to his date. These two men are destined to be together if they would just speak up. Pink tries, but Adam wasn't ready.
Both men are happiest at Quintin and Snow's home, where they are accepted and safe. Unfortunately, Adam reacts badly to Pink's kiss, and Pink leaves home. Adam sneaks a letter to Pink that changes everything. They discover Pink's friend isn't who he thought he was. Now Pink is scrambling to be alert and tell his two Dads. Adam and Pink's sexy times a scorching hot.
We get great insight into our guys from confessions and conversations, and Quintin and Snow, Adam and Pink are still solid as a family.
We get the wrap up and epilogue, which is fantastic.
Knight is the next story's focus.
    ENJOY !

I knew Pink was someone i’d end up loving, I didn’t realize I would love Adam just as much.

Their relationship pulled at my heart strings and made me want to pull my hair out at times but the love these two have for each other was made to last forever. I can’t wait for Knights book.

Oregon author Charity Parkerson is a prolific – and very popular and award winning – author. Her genre is romance, in a plethora of forms! In this series Damaged Devils her characters are ‘crime lords, assassins, and sociopaths who find their hearts.’ She provides an introduction before launching this tale: ‘Adam wants to think of Pink as a younger brother, but he isn’t. Pink wishes Adam would get out of his head, but he won’t. Since getting adopted and going to live with his new family Pink’s life has turned around in all the best ways. He’s sure it’ll pass.’

With her inimitable flair for making her characters visual, Charity opens this novel as follows: ‘Beads of water trailed down Adam’s body. Pink couldn’t look away. He had never been more thankful for the invention of sunglasses. His eyes wouldn’t budge. Adam wasn’t a bear. He was a bull. Six foot four with a massive, scary body and hard eyes…’ And with that degree of detail the story progresses with steam – and insights, a trademark for Charity’s finely spun naughty stories. For complete enjoyment of this Book 14 of this series, roll back and read the other volumes, enhancing the electricity this story generates!

Ended up feeling so much for Adam. I was happy for these two, only wishing they could have figured things out sooner for more happiness. Another winner in the series.

This didn’t do Pink justice. He deserved more than Adam. We spent half book with Adam and Pink going back and forth about how the other would never want them when a simple conversation would have sufficed. Pink moves in with a complete stranger just to help set up the next book. It’s absolute madness.

This one just wasn’t it for me. Knight seems like a decent enough guy so maybe the next book will be more suited.
