Rogue (Damaged Devils Book 9) Kindle Edition

4.3 out of 5 stars 182 ratings

Anton knew going into things Scott was a rogue. He didn’t think he cared, but he does. Scott should be terrified.

As the podcaster of a hit show, Scott is famous in some circles. The way he jumps from bed to bed, taking advantage of that fame, is also notorious. When Scott first set eyes on Anton, he knew the guy was dangerous. He’s part of the Irish mafia and that’s never been a secret. That’s who financed Scott’s startup, so he can’t judge. Not to mention, Scott is a little wild and he can’t stop himself from chasing a sexy man, dangerous or not. If anything, Scott finds Anton twice as hot because of the risk. He has no idea what he’s started.

Anton knew about Scott’s reputation. He thought he only wanted a bit of fun, too. After all, dating him isn’t for the weak and his job has its pitfalls for anyone close to him. They were no big deal. That is until Anton tasted Scott and ended up addicted. Now there’s no way Scott understands the deadly beast he’s unleashed, and it might cost him everything.

Rogue is the ninth book in Charity Parkerson’s Damaged Devils series. These are dark romance stories with crime lords, assassins, and sociopaths who find their hearts. They are best enjoyed when read in order.

This book gives the reader so much insight into the ins and outs of severe depression. Plus its a love story with a happy ever after ending. The best of all worlds!

This is a good story about relationships, people not realizing what they need and misunderstanding. I enjoyed this chapter of the series and look forward to the next.

I just can’t quit them. Everything Charity writes just does something to my soul, I absolutely love everything she puts out and this book isn’t any different.

Anton and Scott were so good together, I loved every second of their journey and I felt all their pain deep down in my soul. I’m so glad these two found each other and I can’t wait for the text of the men to find their forever as well.

El que menos me gustó de la serie. Pasan de fuckamigos a amor eterno en 10 páginas. No hay desarrollo de personaje más que niñez dolorosa. Desentona con la serie que me venía gustando mucho.

I'm all about beautiful and broken men and these are two of the most beautiful and yet the most broken. This story is very dark so put on your seat belt.. The love light at the end is worth it! ! You may need sunglasses.

Anton and Scott find peace... even after the dark, evil, and horrid pasts they each endured.
Anton, 41, (cover) an Irish Mafia assassin, was orphaned and brought up in a killer camp. He's a big hunk of a man, tattooed and a shaved head.
Scott, 28, has a reputation as a rogue, was caged as a child by a parent, has deep anxiety, who has a podcast, backed by Rian. His eyes are deep blue, and has shoulder length brown hair.
Our guys are tough, both have survived the odds and now, neither has the sense to carry on a conversation, the hesitation to talk to each other, but eventually we get to see it.
Their sex is intense, fiery and raw, and full of passion for each other. They had some good times, and a closeness that was unique.
One night while working on his podcast recordings, Anton was working elsewhere, when the studio is breached, Scott is taken, and his brain takes him back in time to his childhood terror. It is a horrendous night of torture until Seven comes to the rescue. We remember him well, and he saves the day.
In Scott's mind, he didn't know it was real, his mind thought he's completely broken free from reality, but no, Seven is amazing.
Days later, he's awake, in pain, bruised, broken and mentally unsure of what to believe. I needed tissues handy for this story.
For as brutal as this was, it is one of my favorite pairs.
Our men deserve the best of everything, yes, but it was a hard read, tough and with deep emotions.
They get the HEA that belongs to them.
    ENJOY !

We are then onto the next dark adventure. By now you see these books are not for everyone, so be sure to check out the author's content note. Triggers: kidnapping and torture.

Oregon author Charity Parkerson is a prolific – and very popular and award winning – author. Her genre is romance, in a plethora of forms! In this series Damaged Devils her characters are ‘crime lords, assassins, and sociopaths who find their hearts.’ She provides an introduction before launching this tale: ‘As the podcaster of a hit show, Scott is famous in some circles. Now there’s no way Scott understands the deadly beast he’s unleashed, and it might cost him everything.’

With her inimitable flair for making her characters visual, Charity opens this novel as follows: ‘Sweat rolled down a hard chest over a dragon tattoo…’ And with that degree of detail the story progresses with steam – and insights, a trademark for Charity’s finely spun naughty stories. For complete enjoyment of this Book 9 of this series, roll back and read the other volumes, enhancing the electricity this story generates!

Anton and Scott were sweet. Both had these tortured pasts that really defined how they were as people. They seemed to compliment each other so well.

This was a nice addition to the series.

If you like dark MM I'd suggest you start here. The series can be disturbing but so is life. In a way it's actually a hopeful book - there really are people who live in the shadows but who love like the rest of us.
