- Reviewed in the United States on November 23, 2017Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI enjoyed this sweet romance very much. Amelia, although a rather unorthodox debutante, is a very caring individual. Anthony, the Duke of Sutcliffe, is still recovering from a bad marriage that ended with the death of his wife. How these two people finally find an HEA is sometimes funny and sometimes poignant. Very enjoyable. Look forward to Ms. Fairview's next book.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 24, 2023Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI enjoyed very much reading this book! There were a few times I got a bit disgusted with Rusbridge, and there was no surprise there, but the rest of it was fun. A bit more proofreading could have raised this to 5 stars.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 5, 2017Format: KindleWhile I noticed several missing/misspelled words and feel this book would benefit from another round of proofreading, that small issue did not at all detract from the delight I found in this story.
The Duke's character underwent a dramatic metamorphosis that was well told, evenly paced, and heartwarming. I enjoyed every word!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 3, 2018Format: KindleShort, sweet and entertaining. One or two misspellings did not detract from the story. Predictable but with a couple of temporary interferences thrown in to add to the mix. Stodgy duke meets delightful young woman and the rest becomes their romance.
