    The second book in the Famiglia series was some damn good addictive reading. Having fallen in love already with the mafia men, I was dying to read Dark Betrayal and it was everything I wanted it to be, plus some things AJ surprised me with...to the point my head blew off there at the end! (More like she punched me in the face) she is a story teller unlike any other and definitely my favorite Mafia Romance author! She has a skill of drawing you into a story and dropping shockers on you to leave you reeling for hours afterward. Suffice to say I need book three right now!

    The tension and chemistry between Jessika and Alessandro was palpable. So many times I never knew if they'd come together in death or hot, vicious sexy times!

    I loved it I loved it I loved it! And the surprise extra at the end just warmed my Braxton loving heart.
    The wait for book #3 is going to be excruciating.

    Loyalty is everything to Alessandro and Jessika and believe me when I say it means everything to them.

    The darkness which this two travel is so intense you will have to pause for a second. Not only are they passionate about who they love but with one another. Their love is so raw and intense, it will make you blush.

    This is book two from the Famiglia Series and even though this can be read as a standalone, I strongly recommend to read book one.

    This one did not capture my attention as well as the first book.

    This one had more kinky sex then action this time. There is a twist about Alessandro’s preferences. I was a tad put off what happened between them after he found out who she really was. It as out of his character I think to not be cautious for some one who is second command of the mafia. The end there was an icky twist!

    There were lots of typos in this one. Limps for limbs and sext for sex. Needed a better proof reader. The first book was way better in all ways.

    Holy Mother Of Pearl!!!
    This is the second book in the series and yes you do need to read the first one to understand what is going on.
    Having said that, I didn't think that A.J. could have written a better novel than the first one but she smashed this one out of the park. You meet Alex and Jess in the first book and then you meet them and now read their story, my perception of them is completely different from what I first thought, but I think I love them now more than ever.
    I was so absolutely absorbed in this book and could not put it down! Because I don't believe in spoilers I won't be giving away too much but what I can say is that these two are fiercely loyal in a way that makes me want to be family to them and has inspired me to think about how loyal I am and how I perceive loyalty.
    A.J. writes awesome alpha male characters that will melt your knickers and such strong female leads that inspire you in very many ways. The story is intense, dark and twisty and the sex scenes are freaking epic! They are on the right side of dirty and just the way that I like them!
    There is so much more to this story that I can't tell you because I refuse to spoil this for y'all but what I will say is enjoy this and keep your eyes open for book 3.

    Never thought Alessandro Ferrara, Capo to the famiglia, would allow himself to fall in love....and especially to the sexy assassin whose job is to kill him....and never see her coming....Several things in DARK BETRAYAL are results of or connected to DARK DESIRE, so, I, definitely, recommend “DESIRE” to be read before “Betrayal”.....❤️🌼🔥
    Jessika Tomlinson is more than the young girl Alessandro carried to safety in DARK DESIRE when Klara was rescued....for one thing, Tomlinson isn’t her surname....it’s Romanov...as in the Romanov crime family, the Russian Bratva....and for another, why she was there in need of being rescued, to begin with, was enough to make me want to burn her whole family to the ground....❤️🌼🔥
    How do you carry out a job when you have fallen in love with the mark??? And how do you win back his trust when you have been betraying him all along??? Love is stronger than betrayal.....❤️🌼🔥

    Ok let me start by saying I absolutely love A.J's writing. This is the second book in this amazing series. I did not expect to read the drama and twists and turns that I did in this book. This is a mafia book and let's face it, who doesn't love a sexy, rugged, tall, dark and dangerous man? The only regret I have is that I finished the book. Looking forward to the next book.

    Dark Betrayal focuses on Alessandro and Jessika. First let me just say that this book was not long enough! I needed more of their story. And the ending? What?!?!?! I knew he couldn't be trusted BUT I did NOT see that twist coming!! I know there is a book 3 coming and it needs to be out now!
