Darkest Deeds is the absolute perfect title for this book considering how many dark deeds bleed from its pages. Cora Kenborn did a fantastic job writing this dark romance that will grasp your inner soul and hold it captive until you’ve read every last word. It had everything… carnal pleasure, bloody betrayal, love, sacrifice, distressing situation and power. Niko Gaheris is one of Arthur’s highly trained assassins, however that hasn’t always been his name. Once upon a time he was Nikolai Garetovsky….one of the Miami Bratva. For the past 8 years his past has stayed just that…his past. He’s never been able to forget one girl though. Ava Chernova, a little girl he vowed to protect who grew into the Bratva princess that Niko grew to hate after a betrayal he couldn’t forgive. Ava has been witness to far too much death and darkness, she wants to get away from her father. She wants to be free of Sergei Chernov but no one is ever free of him. She does what she feels is her only option to free herself, at whatever cost. Niko is a cold hearted assassin; especially easy for him considering the betrayal by Ava so many years ago. So when he is contracted to take her out by her own father; he is gladly willing to do it. Only after being in her presence again and witnessing their feelings for each other he isn’t sure he can do it. Betrayal after betrayal leaves him regretting his decision to not take her out. However, appearances are never what they seem. The betrayal runs deep in this book. You think you’ve got it figured out only to walk another corner and be blindsided again. Kenborn kept me on my toes with this one, always having my own theories and suspicions about what was to happen only for her to surprise me. My absolute favorite part was watching the old Ava unravel and become who she is truly meant to be!

    Cora Kenborn has grown so much as a writer. I have been following her since her debut book, Fame and Obsession. I could tell that she was something special just from that book, however, the growth that she has book to book is astounding. The way that she builds her worlds just pulls you in as a reader. I always feel so invested in her stories and her characters. I truly believe that Cora Kenborn is an author well on her way to make a big name for herself. Her stories a engaging, original, well paced, plotted, well edited, and just extremely enjoyable. I can't wait for her next release!

    Darkest Deeds was AMAZING!!! This is by far the darkest book she has written, however, it was fantastic!

    I love the fact that Ava was a badass. What she went through was horrifying, but she overcame her past and holy **** she was amazing! I love a strong female lead. I have a hard time getting involved in a character that is sweet and meek, but I experienced NONE of that with Ava. She drew me in from the get go. Cora Kenborn can write a strong female and still have you wanting to be her. I never once felt that Ava was too much of a badass. Kenborn was able to straddle that line of too much/too little like an absolute pro.

    Niko, Oh.. I loved Niko. I didn't think that I would love one of Kenborn's character's more than Valentin Carrera, but then came Niko, and yeah...there is a bit of a fight in my mind as to who is better.. LOL. Niko was great, he was alpha to the extreme, but I felt that no matter what, he knew where the line was with Ava. Speaking of Valentin Carrera... HE HAS A CAMEO! Oh my LOVED IT! AND... the twist that came with it!!! I won't say what it is, because I don't want to spoil the book, but if you loved Carrera, you need to check this one out. It was almost like a continuation... could we possibly see a collaboration with Carrera and the Russians???? (I'm actually really wanting this so please can we make this happen)

    I loved this book. (I know it's hard to tell how much I love it). It started off with a bang and the twists that the author threw in were fantastic. I never knew what to expect. Just when you think you have figured something out and what you thought you knew, isn't what is actually happening. I love when an author can have you so invested in a story that you stay up all night reading it (which I totally did). I didn't want this book to end. I'm hoping we see some more from this world!

    If you enjoy being kept on your toes, not being able to predict a book, this is the book for you.

    All these books are amazing, and I can't wait to work my way through them, though I will say, Cora Kenborn is one of my favorite authors, so I was immediately drawn to this series because of that. I was able to find some new to me authors out of this and I am looking forward to reading all these books! Keep them coming please!

    I loved this book way more than I thought I would. This is a dark romance, not as dark as others I’ve read, but none the less it’s still dark. I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to know what’s going on since it’s Book 7. I’ve never read any of the other books in this series, but this is truly a standalone. You won’t feel lost or confused on who’s who when reading this.
    The twist with h had me crying. Literally I got teary eyed! I did not see that coming until her and H were having lunch, but I am definitely very pleased she got her sweet justice!
    Also, that agent was a jerk from the very beginning. Thank you Ms Cora for doing what you did to him. He had it coming.
    I could’ve done with a little more detail in the sex. Kind of was missing for me personally, but that’s just my opinion.
    There is no cliffhanger and it ends on a HEA! Both huge pluses!

Darkest Deeds is as dark as they get but is written in such a way that the author leaves you wanting more. If you are a lover of mafia romance with dark themes, then this is the perfect book for you. The storyline will take you to the edge and leave you dangling as it is full of suspense and twists and turns. Niko and Ava will capture your attention and your heart as these two broken souls come back together to become stronger than ever in a twisted kind of way. This has been by far the best dark romance book that I have read...absolutely amazing and worthy of so much more than five stars!

    I'm hit or miss with this author, but I enjoyed this second chance, mafia read. What I didn't love was the back and forth timeline. I am typically not a fan of it, and I feel like it wasn't needed here, that a linear story would have worked better.     Warning: If you are not into really dark romance then don't read this book.
    But, if you love it then do grab it!

    A mafia princess knocked down from her throne by the very man who gave her life. An Assassin out for revenge only sees red when it comes to her.

    As the story unfolds, you witness their past love that has turned into present hate and mistrust, evolving into a twisted affair that wrecks havoc on the future.

    In the end it's hard to decide which one is more diabolical.

    Loved this story. It was suspenseful, shrouded in secrets, lies, betrayal and danger. It's everything I've come to expect from these books but this is one of my favourites from the Cavalieri Della Morte series.

    Niko and Ava are pure fuxking dynamite, one spark sets them off and you better stand back from the blast.
    They're history is full of lies and broken promises. They're twisted and dangerous together but passionate and seductively hottt too.

    I loved not knowing who to trust with this book, I was constantly on my toes. It was a dark thrilling and shocking web of deceit, cleverly constructed to keep your heart racing and your head spinning.

    I’m not sure why I waited so long to read this as it’s been on my TBR list a while but I’m so glad I decided to pick it up I devoured this book within a few hours. Niko is a hot scary assassin who gets a calls from a man he worked for to kill his own daughter only Niko loved his daughter but she betrayed him. The chemistry between Niko and Ava is off the charts but Ava is a bad@ss honestly defiantly recommend it’s a dark mafia book with some knife play
