About the Author

Paula Hrbacek has a BJ in magazines and a BA in Art from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She worked for a book publisher, Christian Board of Publication, for five years as a copywriter and editor. She decided to stay home with her children and has been writing free lance ever since. She has published three other trade books; Created in Faith, Concordia, a craft book; St. Louis Is for Families, Bethany Press, a tourist guide; and Bible Verses for Young Children, CBP, a coloring book.

Her magazine articles have been published in a variety of places, including Modern Romances, True Confessions, Highlights, Pack-o-Fun, Moments with God, Pathways, The Upper Room, Flower and Garden, Blue Mountain Arts, etc. She won an international writing contest sponsored by Echoes to the Right of God Magazine. Paula has 15 years of experience in Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venture. She was awarded the Cub Scout District Award of Merit and the Girl Scout Outstanding Volunteer awards. She worked doing after school care for the YMCA and Campfire USA for a total of four years. She is certified to teach art K-12 and has two years of classroom experience.
