~Erotic romance without the hassle of shaving your legs~

Although widowed after seventeen happy years of marriage, Eden believes that ‘married with babies’ needn’t be the ultimate happily-ever-after, but one among many choices. Her stories reflect this belief.

A graduate of Converse College, Eden chose to write erotica to make good on her threat to embarrass her adult children at least as much as they embarrassed her in their teenage years. She enjoys helping raise her four-year-old granddaughter and applying liquid eyeliner while driving a stick shift is her super power.

This book really drew me in and kept me reading. But not really for the reasons you would think. I didn't keep reading for hot sex and steamy romance. Eric broke.my.heart. I wanted to heal him, fix him, love him, redeem him. So much. I wanted Eden to bring him full circle so I kept on reading.

Eric was the character that I found least appealing in the first book in this series so I was very interested to see what was going to happen with this bad boy. He did not let me down. Let's just say that Eric has his ghosts and seeing those ghosts brought out and battled was the story for me here.

Amy was a good match for Eric. A tomboy who never really strove to be anything but. I liked her. She's that "every girl" we always wanna see but so seldom get. I liked that she was just insecure enough but not so crazy insecure that she made me grind my teeth. That was a great balance for Eden to strike because it could have so easily gone the wrong way.

I liked seeing some of the plot of the other two books brought to fruition and being able to see the tale of this family brought together. Eric and Amy were steamy enough without being ridiculous. A great read all together!

Book 3, Eric's story, was spectacularly engaging. Eric and Amy seemed an impossible match, but they made me laugh, cry, feel angry, frustrated, aroused, and happy to see (mind's eye) two people finding love, self-assurance, and acceptance. Questions unanswered were answered. More secrets were revealed. Grievances were resolved. And many other things done in the dark, came to light. I am a new fan of Eden Connor. Can't wait for the next book. And others. What a joy read!

I love my De Marco men (although Daniel tends to scare me a bit.) (Colton is still my favorite.) This book focuses on middle brother Eric. A bit of a contradiction within himself, Eric is a playa who knows how to treat a lady right and has dated half the eligible women in town at one time or another, yet he feels his life is nothing but one screw-up after another, a failure, and he is 'lesser than' what a man should be. But we find that when Eric puts his time and attention into something, there is nothing he won't give to see a project thru fully and way beyond expectations. The man who seems to have no heart has so much heart and devotion to give.
I did very much enjoy this book, although not quite as much as the others. Besides Eric's story there is alot going on here - things about the circumstances of their mother's death and what else was going on around that time. There's also focus on Eric's not-so-great relationships with his brothers, particularly Daniel. I really do recommend you read the whole series, in order. It's not a must but you pick up so much background about everyone, it makes this story so much more enjoyable.
Surprised and happy to see there will be another book in this series, and the teaser chapter at the end of this book really throws you for a loop! Thanks, Eden, for another great read!

This was a great story and trilogy. The hardships of the south were true even to this day. This story, though not real, still brought light to that place. I loved the way the three brothers all banded together even though there was many hardships to overcome. The De Marco brothers only loved once and what good strong women they picked. Excellent stories, well done!

Again, I'm writing a review since there are only 2 for this one so far. This story didn't particularly move me. It was a major disappointment. It was a dud that left me cold. Pun unintended. What happened to the emotional pull and all the heat from the first 2 stories? This one seemed almost like a totally different person wrote it. Like a wannabe Eden Connor.

I didn't really care for either of the H/h. Amy was...meh. I liked her better in Soft Sounds. I wasn't feeling her enough for her to pull off the main love interest in this. Eric was a little better. I empathized with him more. As a couple, they seemed forced, like the author wanted them to be together so she put them together even if they didn't necessarily belong together. I FELT the connection between Cynda & Dan and then between Lila & Colton (read out of order).

Amy and Eric just didn't do it for me. I didn't really care about their relationship. I even found myself skipping their few and far between intimate scenes-something I don't think I've ever done-I cared that little about them together.

What saved the story and led to my 3 stars? The plot of this one. When I was an undergrad, I had a friend who used to date a guy on the wheelchair basketball team. It made me reminisce on the old college days. Those are some pretty exciting games. I found that aspect along with the immigrant/migrant spin saved this story for me. I kept reading because I wanted to know how that would play into the overall story. I enjoyed those parts, and I was hoping to find out what was going on with Charlie. Those things kept me going to the end. The romance in this was lacking. I could have read it as a suspense-esque story and done without the romantic details between Amy & Eric. She just did nothing for me as heroine. She was a nice person, but she could've remained in the kooky sidekick role IMO.

Anyway, I doubt I'll revisit this one. I haven't given up on you though, Ms. Connor. You rocked the first 2 in this trilogy!

    Happy Reading

I just dont have enough words. This was just simply one of my #1 books of all times. I mean the story it tells, and the way it tells the story and struggles of many different outlooks and troubles that happen. How real life this is.. And how we should always follow love the way it is ment to me. Thank you
