Dear Daddy, Please Praise Me (Naughty or Nice Book 5) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 1,243 ratings

Dear Santa, I want a Daddy who will take care of me...

Sanders doesn’t believe he’ll actually find a Daddy through a dating app. He’s not much to look at, and his life is a mess. A Daddy would never be interested in someone like him. But he’s lonely.

He hasn’t been kissed for three long years.

Briggs moved to the small tourist town of Red Canyon, Utah to get away from his fast-paced life in Chicago. But he also moved away from most of his dating prospects. Downloading a dating app seems like an obvious choice. The boy he messages is sweet, nervous, and drinks up every word of praise Briggs gives him. But he’s too nervous to meet face to face, claiming that Briggs won’t like him as much in person.

How can Briggs convince his boy that he’s everything a Daddy could ask for?

Dear Daddy, Please Praise Me is part of the Naughty or Nice multi-author series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but there are so many boys hoping that holiday magic will bring them their perfect Daddy, why not grab them all?

I'm a big fan of this series. I love the concept of sending a letter to Santa to ask for your perfect Daddy and this is definitely one of my favorite installments.

Sanders is such a sweet little thing. He's got a huge heart and has been busting his behind trying to run his mom's coffee shop while going to school to get his degree but with his learning disability, it's a constant struggle. He needs someone to take care of him. He needs a Daddy. His BFF Leo helps him write his letter to Santa and Briggs responds.

Briggs has had a successful career but has decided to leave the rat race and enjoy life. He's settling into his new home and is looking for a boy to love and take care of. He and Sanders connect on the Cuffd app and hit it off but neither one of them realizes that they've already met in person at the coffee shop.

I loved how easy things were between them. They took things slowly but there was no doubt that Briggs became Sanders' safe space. He was so supportive and loving. Exactly what Sanders needed.

Two moments really stick out to me as favorites. First is the moment when Sanders realized that Briggs was the Daddy he'd been speaking to online. It was the cutest. The second is the hammer scene. I could not stop laughing. It was hilarious!

This is a go to comfort read for sure.

All around cute story. I have to admit, I wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it turned out to be. Luna is a good author, but she’s hit or miss for me, and Amy isn’t as strong a writer. But put them together and wow did they ever do a good job. There is a lot of substance in this book compared to most of Amy’s stories, but she clearly reigned in Luna’s perchance for humiliation kink (there is none in this book).

It’s sappy and sweet, a perfect holiday read. But don’t be deceived, the sappy and sweet makes sense in this book, and tried and true Daddy kink lovers will understand quickly that good plotting makes this whole book work. The epilogue shows the extra mile these authors took to make this a real winner.

    Highly recommend this one.

This book was absolutely perfect from start to finish. I could read an entire series about Sanders and Briggs.

Sanders is very shy, and awkward in the most adorable way. He runs a coffee shop, is going to school and makes time to visit his mom and often as he can. What he wants more than anything is to find a perfect daddy. His best friend convinces him to write a letter to Santa on a kink app to help him find a daddy.

Briggs is new to Red Canyon and is hoping to meet the perfect boy. He reads a letter on a kink app and the boy who wrote it sounds perfect. The boy is shy though and not ready to meet in person, but Briggs is patient.

This book is sweet, steamy, adorable and hilarious.

I did receive a free ARC of this book but that did not influence my review.

Sanders is such a sweet boy. He works so hard at his life. He took over his Moms coffee business when his mom got sick. He has been going to college for years and failing because of his learning disability but he keeps going. He feels unattractive and stupid. He really wants a Daddy to take care of him and he needs one. He has a crush on a Briggs who is new to town. But Briggs would never be interested in him.

His friend Leo helps him to write a letter to an app to find a Daddy.

I love Sanders. He is just a good person taking care of everyone except himself. Briggs is a good guy and perfect for him. I love their romance and their attraction to each other.

Great story. I loved it a million times over. I think its definitely favorite trope; hurt/comfort and sweet omega like boy taken care of by older or stronger male.

This book got a lot of emotions out of me, which is rare. Firstly with my autism I occasionally struggle to tell when entertainment is even trying to be funny, and secondly I sometimes struggle to see the situation and find myself instead thinking things like “why’s he acting like that, why’s he crying? Move on with your day, you had things planned”. I say this as the ultimate compliment; this book presented everything in the perfect way were I could actually get the feelings from it. I really personally enjoyed this.

Sanders was a nicely nervous and sweet young man with too much on his plate (running a business, caring for a suck mother, going to college) yielding a touch of the lonely boy-in-distress. Briggs was a teasingly too good to be true and totally tender but mature, strong and dependable Daddy type. Throw in a salt and pepper beard and a gratuitous tattoo and there’s a bit of chemistry, but mostly sweet small town swept-off-his-feet fluff.

What a delightfully feel- good book! The attention to detail made me feel like I was there. The characters drew me in from the first pages and wouldn't let me out. I read it in one sitting! Sanders, owner of a coffee shop, is dyslexic. So he lets his best friend, Leo, write a letter to Santa for him on a dating site. Sanders wants a Daddy for Christmas. One answers him. As their texts become steamy, he cannot but dream that Tattooed- Daddy is the hunk he has been lusting over. Newly retired & new to town, Briggs isn't expecting the adorable coffee shop owner to be his perfect boy. When they get together face to face with the help of lots of margaritas, a hammer & Narnia, the heat index is off the charts. Sexy times are assured. Briggs has found his perfect boy, and Sanders has found a Daddy to love and praise him. Their journey to HEA is filled with joy, laughter, giggles, and romance. Ooh, and a snowball fight, Christmas tree cutting, & the true meaning of family. You are so gonna love this book! Get. It. Now!
Triggers: This book deals with dyslexia. It also deals with Alzheimer's disease. Both are handled with dignity and respect.
This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.

Where to even begin?! Briggs and Sanders were the loveliest, sweetest people who were absolutely perfect for each other. A loved that this was the kind of perfect holiday read you want - cuddly, fluffy and showing the good in people.

Sanders struggled so much and it was lovely to see him find his way. The best part was that while his Daddy helped him and supported him, most of it was Sanders growing as a person and realising he could be and do what was important to him. Briggs... sigh... so wonderful. I loved how much of a calm presence he was. His solid, reassuring nature was just what Sanders needed to feel safe and free to be himself.

I just loved the two of them together and loved Luna and Amy writing together. The book was fantastically written and so heart-warning. Absolutely wonderful!!!!
