About the Author

Chris Chambers provides a deep and sexy voice for all of the adult titles that he narrates. With a truly engaging voice, Chris will have you hooked from the beginning of the book to the closing credits.

Currently living in Portland, Oregon, Sofia Willingham is an accomplished word nerd and voice actress. She has had the privilege of narrating multiple bestselling books for a variety of publishers. She was an APA Audie Award finalist for Release Me by J. Kenner in the erotica category, the first installment of the bestselling Stark series. This early exposure propelled her further into the universe of genres and accents, and she now records and produces audiobooks from the comfort (and dryness) of her approved home studio. Her performances have been regarded as emotionally involving and having the ability to color distinct characters consistently without getting in the way of the story. In her free time, she satisfies her morbid fixation with true crime and often wanders outdoors with an oversized puggle.

Eliah Greenwood is the author of the Rules series, the online sensation with over 35,000,000 reads. Proud Wattpad verified author and Fiction Awards 2018 winner (readers' choice) in three categories, she loves writing stories where opposites attract and the main guy needs a kick in the . . . Followed by nearly 100,000 dedicated readers across all social media, she is currently working on the highly anticipated fourth book in her series.

It doesn’t matter that I have read “Dear Heart, I Miss You” 3 times; I will gladly read it as many times as possible. “DHIMY” will always have a special place in my heart. Being part of the process of an author I love from beginning to end was amazing. I saw the story develop with the changes the readers suggested to the finalized version. Having the privilege to beta read and give feedback was an experience I will never forget.

I was hooked from the dedication! The opening of “Dear Heart, I Miss You” is a letter from Finn to his mother. You could see Finn’s memory in the opening letter as if it was happening in real-time. The letter was the backstory of what happened to make Finn who he is today. Letters tie in with the theme of the series’ first book, and having them throughout added to the story.

“Dear Heart, I Miss You” was emotional, but I wouldn’t expect anything less. Eliah Greenwood’s works are always an emotional rollercoaster ride. The first time I read “DHIMY”, I teared up but didn’t the other times. However, I was hoping to cry at some point while I was reading, but it never happened, but I felt it, even without tears. The experience would’ve been entirely different if I had only felt indifference.

Some things that bothered me were Finn and Dia’s miscommunication, how they keep hurting one another, and other people in general. But without these things, there wouldn’t be a story.

Finn is broken. My heart breaks for him. His past made him the way he is. It doesn’t excuse his actions, but it does give us insight into them. You want to hate him. And there are moments that you will. But you can’t hate him. Or at least I can’t. He keeps hurting everyone around him. He was on a path of self-destruction. Even though he doesn’t mean to, he keeps hurting Dia. Finn loves her. They understand each other on a deeper level. They bring out the worst of each other and the best of each other. Since meeting, they grew as people because of each other.

Dia is not innocent. She, like Finn, keeps hurting the people around her without even realizing it. Dia isn’t the same person as she was before last summer. People change, and they grow. But she changed for the worse before trying to be better. At least she realized that she had changed. She kept hurting Vee, even though they were best friends. Friendships aren’t perfect, but I’m glad they were able to make their way back to each other. How she treated her dads is not the best. But then again, she’s a teenager, so I understand. Because of her relationship with Finn, she’s been sneaking around and hiding things from her dads. I don’t like how Dia acts, but when I think about it, if I were in the same situations, would I have done the same things?

I’m glad that the characters aren’t perfect. No one wants to read about perfect people. Humans have flaws, and these characters have flaws too. It’s what makes them realistic and relatable. You can see yourself in the characters, whether it may be positive or negative. Sometimes their actions frustrate me. But I can understand it. I love that reading any of Eliah’s works can evoke emotions. It’s what makes the experience of reading better, in my opinion. I like to be able to feel and connect to the story. I love the world Eliah builds. It’s complicated, messy, but realistic. It’s as if I can picture myself there and experiencing the same thing. Everything is tied together. I enjoyed the ending; it made sense. With everything that Finn and Dia went through, a lot of it their own making, they still had the happily ever after they deserved. It may not have been perfect, but it was perfect for them.

    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Beautiful apologies don’t heal ugly wounds, and forgiveness can’t be earned with pretty words. It’s clear that things will never be the same between us, but maybe an apology is the first step to a wound becoming a scar.

After I read Dear Heart, I Hate You I was totally digging Finn and Dia, but I wasn't thrilled about the cliffy ending. Their first book was wrought with life complications and a few heart-squeezing moments. But, after a long 5 month wait, I finally had their conclusion (Dear Heart, I Miss You) in my hand so I could wind out their relationship with hearts and flowers, right?  WRONG.

My character breakdowns from their first book still stand - with a little addition for each...

Finn. Complicated. A little intense at times. And broken. You know, the perfect subject for a dramatic romance. The man has layers after complicated layers. But, he's worked at finding himself. I mean, he really seemed to have put the work in - and he overcame a lot to get to where he is in this book, especially toward the end.

And Dia. Diamond. Gem. I feel like she's still trying to figure out who she is but the one thing she isn't is a pushover. At least when it comes to Finn. I feel like the hits kept coming in DHIMY and she kept standing which is a testament to how strong Dia really is.  She really stood up to her name (brief explanation in the book, you'll see what I mean).

The drama in the conclusion of Finn and Dia's story really put me through the wringer.  I like a little drama here and there, but WHEW, my brain was tired.  I'm glad they were able to find their way back to each other, but man - be ready to feel the stress all the way to the last page.

Dear Heart, I Miss You was an enjoyable read.  It cannot be read as a standalone as it is part two of a couple. A solid 4 stars from me

5.0 out of 5 stars Would you risk everything for love?
Reviewed in Canada on July 26, 2022
I have been anticipating this book since I finished dear heart, I hate you, I was so excited to see how Finn was going to get out of this mess he created for himself and I wasn’t disappointed, Eliah continues to provide angst and sadness and passion and hope, but honestly at the end of the day Finn is not the villain, he is just a boy who loves a girl and will do anything to get her back….

This book has twist and turns and what the heck moments that leave you wondering how the heck Finn and Dia are going to get back to where they belong, we get to see Eliah chip away at both characters little by little and expose them as who they really are, and the question I had the whole time was can love prevail even after EVERYTHING that’s happened.

There is a line “beautiful apologies don’t heal ugly wounds” and this to me is what this book is about, that apologies mean nothing unless they are followed by action and change, we watch Finn change and fight for something he never thought he’d have too, and we watch Dia Finally putting herself first and healing the wounds mentally and physically, before they can find their way back to each other they have to lose a lot more than each other. The questions left from the first book are explored and answered along with some oh no! Moments plus we get to see a bit of Aveena and Xavier so that’s always fun! Overall this book ties up Finn and Dias story beautifully with the angst, sexiness, sass, and build up you expect from Eliah’s books if it’s not on your list it should be!

5.0 out of 5 stars The BEST duet I'll ever read
Reviewed in Spain on November 18, 2024
If you've ever read any book by Eliah Greenwood, you already know that every book she publishes is a MASTERPIECE, but even I was surprised by how much I LOVED this book (and it's first part of the duet too). This duet ("Dear Heart, I Hate You" and "Dear Heart, I Miss You") is probably the best one I'll ever read.
I firstly started this series with "Dear Love, I hate you" which was extremly cute, plus it had some spicy scenes. I loved it so much that I bought "Dear Heart, I Hate You" and omg... I wasn't expecting this to be so addicting. Then, I bought "Dear Heart, I Miss You" and I'm just gonna say... If there were a HUNDRED books about Finn and Dia, I'd somehow manage to buy them all. It was such a good story.

With these two I've cried so much (and I'm always told that I never cry with any books), I've loved the couple they make and every single scene with them both. This story had the perfect combination of love scenes, emotional (happy and sad) scenes and spicy scenes.

Another thing, I LOVED the character development of BOTH main characters. Both Finn and Dia had a huge character development over the two books but specifically this one was... WOW. Finn turned out to be such a sweetheart, yet he still conserved his personality, whereas Dia became more bold and then also sweet.

If you are thinking of getting this book, let me tell you, the ONLY problem I have with this duet is that I finished it and there are no more books. So, that should let you know how amazing and adictive this is. Hoping Eliah Greenwood can give them a third book in the future cause I honestly can't get enough of these two lovebirds. <3

I Hate you" gefeiert habe.
Was mir aber nicht aus dem Kopf will ist, was ist mit Brody los? Wieso können er und Jesse nicht ausstehen?
