I have read all 7 books and I really enjoyed the series! A few things I suspected were on target!
    Wonderfully written and executed!

I’m so glad I came across The State Series! I couldn’t put them down. I loved the different characters’ perspectives and different stories. Great read! This series is definitely going into my “read again” pile. Well done!

Finally the ending I was looking for! I enjoyed this book and felt the ending was much more satisfying than the other books (which left me with a lot of questions/concerns at the end).

Overall this was a really good read and I was happy to see Colin/Freya reunited, and how their future will play out. I felt like the ending of the State was a little easy after all the games the State played. I liked Gwen's character but didn't care much for her POV chapters, and I wish we had a few more Colin POV chapters. But overall, this was the ending I was looking for.

Fair warning: there is a lot of Freya vomiting in this book, as well as crying/having moist eyes. There are also a lot of glaring misused/misspelled words. It probably could have used another edit.

This story is quite the read. An epic adventure from a different time but people we can easily recognize. Seven books and I enjoyed each one as the first.

I am bad about leaving reviews but I am taking the time to do it for this series. I have to say I enjoyed this whole series! First it's very well written. A few typos here and there but far less than others I've read lately. The characters were interesting and well thought out. As I got further into the series I appreciated this even more as the author told the story of the main characters through a slightly different slant. Made me admire the skill and thought taken with this story.

Although sold as a Young Adult book, it is written in a manner that doesn't look down upon adult readers. Some will assume that just means less sexual writing. It was far more than that, she writes at a level that doesn't insult a more educated reader. As far as the sex, I have found many books lately that I think they just try to put in sex scenes because they sell. I like a plot with it - not just sensationalism.

I read this all from book one to the end in a row. Couldn't put it down. I am actually sad that it's ended as I would have loved more. However, the author told a complete and fulfilling story, so it's not that I am feeling let down. Just I miss the characters and the stories!

5.0 out of 5 stars Exciting from the first page!

Right out of the gate this book absolutely delivers an exciting ride! The author has done an excellent job in the previous books to set the characters up for this crescendo. Although twists and turns make this book exhilarating there is a feeling of clarity and completeness that is satisfying for followers of the series. Personally I am so sad to see these books end - I feel like I could read about them forever. I highly recommend this book for lovers of the dystopian genre!
