With each book in this series is keeps getting better. The Phoenix boys are at it again with trying to shut down the trafficking ring but this time it's personal as they all form together to try and find Lash's brother Caleb who was taken over a year ago.I highly recommend this book and series.

    This book was so much better than the previous book because the writer stayed focused on the original story and just included the main characters love life. This is what amazing stories and writers do, don't get caught up in the characters, but the story. And I love that she's able to write about the characters lives but stay focused on the story. That way it keeps you invested and you're hungry for every book in the series. Every moment you get your head is in the books because you can't put them down. Amazing job with this book, I couldn't put this book down.

    Loved Lash aka Micah and Fear aka Alex! I’ll be honest this one was more difficult for me to follow along with since the author changed from using the code names for these two to their first names. It made it slightly confusing personally. I still loved it and it was a great story that ties up some loose ends of previous people and stories.

    Good book in a series I enjoy. This one was dark, hard angst. I actually did not think that there would be a HEA, but was not worried because I knew the next book was out. Alex, Fear and Micah, Lash were frustrating in how they loved one another, but pushed each other away, then pined for one another. This was because of how they were both reacting to the kidnapping of Micah's brother, the mysterious boy in the cage that we saw in the last book. This is one of the longest unresolved story arcs in the series. I am excited to get Caleb's story in the next.

    I like this series but this book, not so much. The team spends a lot of time running around without actually getting anywhere. Micah is very annoying constantly running off on his own and not sharing information. He gets yelled at for it but does it again and again. Not much to any romance they spend almost the entire book either avoiding each other or fighting. Micah is not very nice to Alex but Alex just keeps coming back for more. This book became a skimmer for me.

    This story focuses on a relentless search for Caleb, who has been kidnapped by traffickers. The section on the hunt in Alaska is especially good. Alex, an army operative and Micah, Caleb’s brother, find their relationship strained and changing due to the pain of their missing teenager. The Phoenix team and surprising strangers join in on the rescue attempts, and the traffickers themselves are numerous, well funded and organized. This book builds on the previous ones in the series, and, be warned: there are many characters and organizations involved that need to be tracked. Lash (Micah) and Fear (Alex) are just two of them. (It seems as though that the alphabet agencies are just the tip of the iceberg in this series.) A good read.

    Many many characters are expanded on/ introduced in this book, and many were needed in the continuing efforts to arrest the trafficking operation. Reprehensible acts are committed, and it has to be said by both sides and the fight is a desperate one often. I enjoyed the book as I have the others but this one had more depth I felt.

    This series continues to impress! I love the action, the suspense and the investigative side of things, as well as the romance that balances it out. For this book, we finally get the history between Fear (Alex) and Lash (Micah), and also why Lash has been MIA a lot in the previous novels.

    Alex and Micah were previously a long term couple, but then when tragedy struck, their grief turned their relationship toxic and Lash ended up walking away. The chemistry between them is still hot, and I loved watching them slowly find their way back to each other.

    I love that we still see so much of the previous main characters and how integrated their team is. Plus we're starting to see new members join Phoenix. I can definitely see there is a crossover with the 2 other series' released by this author (Code of Honour and Cobalt Security) so I look forward to reading those.

    Can't wait for the next book to be released, and this is definitely a book I'd recommend if you like some intense action, slightly broken men, and alpha types who know how to kick butt.

    Wow. What a book. Reese took her story and ramped it up 1000%.
    The story and Alex and Micah, Fear and Lash was one intense roller coaster of a ride. The action was non stop and fantastic.
    I ached for the two men as they hunted down the bad guys, looking for the poor people who were unfortunately caught up in the human trafficking. I cried for Lash as he tortured himself looking for answers.
    Reese never took her foot off the gas as she wrote this novel. The romance and love between the two men was raw and heartfelt. You wished you could go in and hug them and yell at them to communicate.
    Make sure you start this book with plenty of time. You will be reading nonstop.

    I wait anxiously for the next story.
